Something nobody seems to be worried about

I noticed something that really worried me about the miniseries. And that would be when it takes place. You see the issues it takes place between happen AFTHER All Out War. For those who don't know why this is a problem, that is the problem. All Our War ended with the one of the most unexpected twists in the series and depending on opinion is the second or THE biggest spoiler for Tv fans and people who recently got into the comics. This would spoil at least 2-3 season of the show. Now there IS the possiblity that no one will mention it but i find that hugely unlikely considering it affected so many characters. How do you guys think they'll handle this?

And btw am i the first one to mention this?

  • I somewhat doubt Telltale will spoil it all. It's been stated repeatedly that Michonne is a 'self-contained story' so I somewhat doubt how much they would go into it

Plus, this is more exploring what took Michonne away, and brining in other discussions may detract from that.

  • Okay, maybe this is a bit too much to expect from Telltale, but wouldn't it be awesome if, at the beginning of the game, we are asked whether we are caught up with the comic? That will,

    1. Potentially get more people reading the comics, so Skybound wins.
    2. Shield those who haven't read the comics from spoilers.
    3. Enhance the experience for comic readers.
  • I was kinda hoping we get to see Alexandria and Rick at some point during the game, either at the start, or at the end, when she returns. There's no need for them to talk at all, but it'd be a nice starting/ending cutscene.

  • I think that maybe Telltale will do something like that but with no spoilers in it. Like, for example, Michonne standing on the ship in the last scene in Episode 3 and she'll look at the coast far in the distances and this will be the coast where Alexandria isn't far away. Something like that perhaps or maybe nothing at all. I guess we'll see.

  • It would be cool if it ended like in the comics, Michonne making the pirate pose while arriving at the coast with Rick present there.

I don't know if Rick handless would be a spoiler to the show or not, but if so, it can be easily hid.

Maybe he'll be a dark figure in game (somewhere in the distance) but fans of the comics will know that it's him. Of course, if they read the comics up-to-date.

  • This is a great idea! I can't describe how much I want this to happen!

So we have The Companion approaching the shore, and they frame Michonne exactly how she was standing in this panel, and then--

the screen fades to black, tying in nicely with the comics.

Players who haven't read the comics will be very confused, though.

  • Not sure what you are talking about, really.

It is my understanding that the Michonne game will happen during the time period when the character was "off-camera" in the comics. As others above, I expect and hope that the final scenes will tie in with the comic, but that is not at all a spoiler unless the exact destination and people who she is returning to are made clear in the game.

I don't think very many people who play the game will be unaware that Michonne is a longtime ally of Rick's group, so avoiding direct statements of how he former companions are should be plenty enough to avoid any spoilers.
