I know they have their own company now, but it's only FIVE freaking episodes. They need to come back and finish what they started.

where do i sign !!!! lol but if S3 is in ''deep development'' with the current telltale staff...i don't think we will get our wish
Here, I guess. I hope Telltale staff actually reads these forums. And let's face it, S3 is not in deep development. LOL.
Well I don't think Telltale is purposely keeping them out im pretty sure it's just that they wanted to work on their own projects.
Didn't they like just say that it was deep in development?
LOL, they actually did say it was deep in development.

I remember they also said that the gap between the S2 episodes would be 4-6 weeks long.
We can't really sign a petition to force people to go back to an old job.
Well some of us can.
Five episodes may not sound like a lot of work, but it really is. It's basically 3 scripts per episode because of all the alternate dialogue choices, and then there's the silent responses. Besides, the script will already be heavily in development. These guys have their own company, their own jobs-- I doubt they can afford to come back.
Regardless, it seems Telltale have responded to Season 2's criticism. I doubt Season 3 will make the same mistakes.
But, hey, I'm not a Telltale staff member. Good luck with your petition.
I hope you realize that even if you get a million petitions , no one can MAKE them come back.
They never did. That was from a FAQ that was already outdated at the time. Yes, it was lazy not to change it, but they never outright said that the waits will be that short. And seeing as Telltale has been working on Season 3 presumably even before the end of Season 2, it's not really unrealistic that it's deep in development.
Oh, sweet! A forum petition! Looks like it's in good company!

Jokes aside, it's not going to happen. They've moved on and they want to do their own thing; not to mention, Firewatch was a success on Steam so they don't exactly have an incentive to return to Telltale. You can't just force people to become interested in something once they've moved on, and Jake/Sean both expressed interest in trying new things after working with Telltale for a good few years. That, and you are discrediting Telltale's other writers, which is a bit unfair.
You're comparing a prediction they made with an actually factual statement.
I am allowed to have an opinion, aren't I? You should praise my kindness for referring to them as writers after witnessing some of the S2 dialogue.
In addition to what others have said, it's not known whether there will be five episodes. It's possible there could be more, as they've said it's considerably bigger than other seasons, assuming it's still true and the wait would indicate it being the case. In what way, we don't know. It could be episode length (I doubt this), episode count or more story branching.
But even if it is five episodes, episodes aren't easy to write anyway. I imagine that, even though it's likely season 2's endings will quickly join back together for season 3 (maybe a unique scene or two, and very doubtfully one episode tops), it's still taken quite a bit of working out. I'll be very surprised if we get more than a unique scene or two anyway considering the logistics and cost of it all, in addition to story coherence.
This sentence is a paradox.
... damn
You are allowed to have your own opinion, but part of the purpose of a forum is to see what other people think of your ideas (in a civil manner, of course).
There's nothing wrong with liking some writers over other writers, but to be bluntly honest, the idea of making a petition here seems kinda petty. Not to mention, some of the writers for Season 2 also made great episodes of Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, etc.
I haven't played any of those, 5 episodes of characters like Nick, Sarah, Sarita, Kenny and their brilliant writing was more than enough for me to handle. xD
This thread is as salty as the Dead Sea.
Definitely not good for my cholesterol.
No. Why would i? The Story of S3 is Most likely finished At this Point, so If they Do the writing(they don't) TTG has to Delay S3. Do YOU want S3 to Be delayed?! With that Petition, i think YOU actually want S3 to Be delayed! And BTW "prior success does Not guarrantee Future success". Think about it.
If it were up to me, there wouldn't even be a S3.
Then why do you care about how it turns out?
You Are a horrible person. :P
Because reasons.
I'm a horrible person for thinking that two seasons is enough for this game? Thanks.
I don't Really mean it.
...in which case, you are judging them by a small portion of their work, which isn't helping your argument in any way at all.
I pointed out Wolf, Tales, etc., as a lot of people love those games and consider their writing to be really great. Some people even say that Tales from the Borderlands in particular is just as good - if not, better - than Walking Dead: Season 1. But, then again, Nick and Sarah had a couple awkward lines in some episodes of Walking Dead: Season 2, so what do I know?
You make it sound like Walking Dead: Season 2 retroactively taints the quality of future Telltale games just by virtue of association.
good thing is not to you
sigh
I give up. I am obviously not allowed to comment on the quality of the game without being attacked by a bunch of angry users. I never realized that this is actually a fansite. My apologies.
Please close this thread. I don't want to upset any more people.
If you insist.
