Yes! I'd love it if different decisions in Season 1 and 2 had different effects on Season 3 depending on your Ending, like if Bonnie lived, she will appear but only if you chose the Alone Ending, if you took Lilly with you in the R.V. she'll appear in Wellington etc.
I just really hope they actually have the story go two different directions (at least for the first episode damn it). I'm gonna be upset if … morethey just get new characters or decide to kill off Jane/Kenny within the first few minutes. Put weight on our choices damn it!!

I don't know why Jane would do that. She's probably the most selfless character on the game. Jane can do no wrong. Typical Kenny fan, insinu… moreating that jane would do something wrong to make Kenny look better. Let's all shove our opinions on him telling him how Jane shall do no wrong and how bad Kenny is.
Yeah, I think TTG has lost the weight of choices for their games. I mean they said we would never know what happened to Christa apparently. I'm wondering if they actually will bring back Lily which would be cool. Hell, maybe they will shock us by having Jane survive either way and somehow meet up with Lily.
Maybe my hopes are too high for something like that to even happen.

Hopefully Season 3 adds more weight to the decisions, people are going to keep referring to TTG as the ones that create Choice-Based Games where choices have no major consequences to the overall story, if Season 3 manages to have at least 3/4 separate stories, I think it would be pretty cool but I fear the anger and disappointment they might get if they have Season 3 have little impact by Season 2, I mean the Season 1 Save Import for Season 2 didn't really change much of the game at all.

I think they have to evolve or they will get shown up by other devs and games. Hell, most think Until Dawn and Life Is Strange already upstage anything TTG has put out.
One of the big issues is no weight behind what you pick. I'm talking about the story going different directions because they set it up in that fashion. You can't have several different endings in your games and then all of them have zero variation and go back to canon S3 opening.

I do agree that they should try to top other choice-based games but not to the point where it's all about competition in the market because I think that could always make a game company lose their touch. In terms of whether Until Dawn or Life Is Strange have upstaged TTG, well I don't think anyone can prove whether most or only a few think that since it's all entirely subjective and perspectives can change.
Well, some decisions do have weight - both objectively as some do make changes in the game but also subjectively because 'weight' behind a decision is determined by each person, does weight only mean making an impact to the story or also making an impact on the player? But yeah, I do agree that more weight in terms of impact is needed, I'd personally love that - do you know how much different a silent run through is from any other run through, it's rather unique in my opinion, I wish it was similarly unique with other run-throughs to the point where the game feels differently like it does when being a silent protagonist.

..but she does have attachment to her. I mean, Kenny would also drop clem like trash if he had no attachment to her (as he does determinantely in season 1, only coming to save her if he likes Lee).
Jane might drop Clementine if she (Clementine) has a mental breakdown and can no longer function, or becomes incompetent to the point where she can't survive. Jane basically said it herself that she can't be staying with someone that has given up. This is unlikely to happen though given how mentally strong Clementine is.

That's basically true of everyone.
Yes "determinantely" like you said, never happened on my playthrough so people can say what they want and not like him for whatever, if it was a situation where Clem or Kenny was about to die and only one could live however, i know Kenny would give his life for her but i will never believe Jane would

That's not the same thing as giving your life to "save" another though, she didn't save Clem's life to lose her own. I was referring to a situation where Clem and Kenny/Jane were about to die and only one could live in which i honestly think Jane would not sacrifice herself to save her where as i believe Kenny would despite what others may think of this.
Jane has already put herself out more than once for Clementine. She saved her life while everyone else was doing nothing useful. She obviously to me cares very much for her. I dont see any reason to believe that she would abandon her now. Clem and Luke were the only ones to really get Jane to come out of her protective shell and start caring again and she strikes me as the type of person who would be loyal to someone she loves. Thats not something only Kenny can do.

Yes i know she saved her life and showed she cares to an extent but was basically saying if it was a me or you situation i honestly feel she wouldn't let herself die for Clem but who knows for sure. We'll never know unless they do something to show this in season 3

Right, but it's the way in WHICH its determinant which is key.
Kenny makes his decision about whether he helps save Clem depending on whether he likes Lee, not on his relationship with Clementine. If he cared about her he'd come no matter what.

it really doesn't matter because if you were playing this and never got to see the other choices you wouldn't even know or care about what he does or doesn't do. He was great with my Lee all the way through and thats all that matters. Haters/dislikers can say all they want but this is why its determinant with our choices. You are effectively having 2 different Kenny's. The Kenny that hates Lee perhaps doesn't care about Clem but the Kenny who likes Lee perhaps does care about her. Anyone that thinks he doesn't care about her at all is fine to think that but not a fact.

I think I would have preferred a "Lol jane sux" thread over something like this.

Or maybe Jane could just NOT turn on Clem
Oh god....
Jane is awesome. I wish she'd be the playable character in S3, but I'm guessing that's not going to happen as she's determinant.
Jane is so selfish and manipulative that I have no doubt she'd drop Clem like trash the second she didn't have any attachment to her.
I'm not a fan of Jane, but I don't see her betraying Clemo. I mean, she friggin' came back for her when she could of just walked off.
Wait can Bonnie die?!?!
Yeah, if you choose not to save Luke yourself, Bonnie goes to save him and they both fall into the ice, both die if Clementine doesn't break the ice.

Oh, wow
I'd rather not to be honest, I think she works really, really well as an NPC who grows.

As long as she's a part of S3 in some form.
Jane might drop Clementine if she (Clementine) has a mental breakdown and can no longer function, or becomes incompetent to the point where she can't survive. True Rhys but it doesn't mean she wouldn't do it again
I thinking leaving a baby to die would be too much for a videogame
I believe she would. She did if you allow Kenny to kill her.
That's not the same thing as giving your life to "save" another though, she didn't save Clem's life to lose her own. Anyway not gonna argue, just wanted to say my part. That's fine to disagree

I definitely think it would be too much for this game.
She came back because she heard gunshots, what if she didn't?
But she left her in episode 4, the only reason which made her come back is the gunshots.
Thats fine, I just think people are too quick to dismiss her as selfish and uncaring when we've seen that to be not the case.
Yes i know she saved her life and showed she cares to an extent but was basically saying if it was a me or you situation i honestly feel she wouldn't let herself die for Clem but who knows for sure. We'll never know unless they do something to show this in season 3
Hmmm how would Kenny turn on Clem....oh yeah...just be Kenny.
I thought this thread couldn't find a way to get any worse
Congratulations

That's why his sudden love for Clementine always felt like bs to me, but there you go.
It doesn't matter. When she heard the gunshots, she could've just walked away. Same as if she didn't.
