You know now that I think about it there should be many episode discussion threads because timezones, and then after the episode premiers everywhere they can all be merged
I guess he's still salty about Dwight swiping his crossbow. Not that I think that's enough to justify the level of anal trauma that Daryl was displaying, but I get it.

Yep, that Kang/Reed episode was about as mediocre as I thought it was gonna be. Totally called it.
I enjoyed seeing Jesus, but the journey with him went on too long. I probably wouldn't be so annoyed if it wasn't a complete retread to Aaron's story in Season 5B (right down to episode 11 being about going to his community and not trusting him, just like "The Distance"), but it is and I was. They should have ended it after Rick and Daryl meet him again on the road, and then take him to Alexandria to get the damn storyline moving, and to show more substantial development than a third altercation with the guy. And no, it doesn't matter if the damn truck sank into the water during the third fight, because that's not going to be important in the long run. It was just a way to needlessly buy time and to have the same damn dilemma about what to do with Jesus.
Carl's darker demeanor was interesting, but they didn't take it anywhere interesting. He should have been a much bigger focus this episode than he was. Intact zombie Deanna was just stupid. I mean, I like the idea and what it represents to Michonne and Spencer, but come on, how was she not completely chewed up and how did she get out of Alexandria at all? There is a serious lack of consistency here. You want to give Spencer more development? Great, I do too. But do it in a way that makes a modicum of sense.
Now, okay, maybe I can't blame Kang and Reed too much for some of these events. The timeskip in particular was stupid and just passes over stuff that could have been interesting (Carl's road to recovery)... but I'm pretty sure that was a decision from on high, not their own. Similarly, I'm pretty sure they can't just say "Deanna should totally be in this episode, make it happen!" I feel it's more likely she was gonna show up anyway, and then they had to figure out how it would play out. Same with Jesus, since it was probably an order to make his journey last the whole episode. I really don't know how these things work, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. However, the empty dialogue and lack of better focus certainly can be blamed on them, and this was one of those episodes where it felt like there were big chunks that were completely bereft of compelling material. Mundane setup is not an excuse for poor execution.
This was a pretty damn good episode I'd say. It's a dialogue heavy episode that actually feels like it matters and doesn't feel like filler. That's been so rare on this show lately.

I thought it was a solid episode. I got really excited when Jesus showed up! Cool to know that Michonne will be taking Andrea's place in the show. Also seems like Enid will be taking Sophia's place which will be interesting.
However, the inconsistencies with Deanna was pretty dumb. Didn't she get devoured? How is she completely intact? Also how did she somehow slip past everyone and get out of Alexandria?
10/10 From beginning to end, I loved it! Rick and Daryl on a road trip is always solid stuff to watch.. I liked the humor in the encounter between Rick, Daryl, and Jesus. Jesus’ intro was PERFECT, so hilarious.Of course, the highlight was the encounter between Rick and Michonne. I didn't realize how amazing Rick/Michonne would be and that felt really heartfelt, and I liked how they buillt up to it by showing Michonne living in Rick's house and taking of Carl in the intro. This is now my 2nd favorite episode this season. I can't wait to see the group go to Hilltop next week.
Rick and Michonne is cool, feels natural and the actors have chemistry
Glad they didnt have carl lay in bed for several weeks and just got on with it
Daryl and Ricks little trip was kind of fun
Negatives
There was so much random on that trip, they left the car they drove in. They lost tons of food etc. All through stupidity
Jesus sucks. The comic character was okay, but I never really cared all that much. The TV show character is just a dick so far
Deanna being a walker, not even having a chunk taken out of her and yet more time around her character. Main weak point of the episode, she was never that big a character to have all this time on her
YESSS YESSS YESSS YESSS YESSS RICHONNE IS REAL!!!! I'VE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY ABOUT A TV SHOW IN MY LIFE!!!! WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!!?!?!?!?!?! I love this episode, I love all the character development, I cried, laughed and screamed like a fangirl!!!!

great episode until you get to the "it should be somone who is family" nonsense. Why these sick people are obsessed with stabbing their loved ones in the head is beyond me. Its stupid has been since andrea did it, its never necessary its just cheap emotions for the show. I'm certain that Amy Lori and Deanna didn't want to be piked by a loved one while a bunch of people with not so much emotional attachment gawk at them and feel bad. Michonne had to hold deanna's arms so spencer could do it, looked like a scene from Oz, not someone being compassionate! also if Michonne is gonna be andrea now who is gonna be michonne? and what a charmer Rick is, two weeks after hacking off his last girlfriend's hand he's sleeping with the woman that impaled his ex's son, what a show

Did anyone see the "We'll be back" on the truck during the jesus chase?
Definitely Rick

Oh yeah. Heaven forbid making Daryl look bad.
Hopefully he gets a hot date with a certain bat lol
Also i realised something i find funny.
Daryl: Keeping him alive is stupid.
Rick: Killing him is stupid. You told me that before.
Daryl: I WAS STUPID!!!
Rick: NO I WAS STUPID!!!
Daryl: What were we arguing about?
Rick: I was stupid because i didn't lisen to you when i should've. NOW SHUT UP!!!!!!
Daryl:................
Nobody but Ingen does them though.
Yeah its good to see two great episodes straight.
Every sunday at 10/11 central.
I freaking called it! Michonne and Rick banging.Told yall Jesse dying was a means to an end.
Did anyone just see Yvette Nicholle Brown's reaction?
When you see Rick listens to More than a Feeling
I just thought of something, does anyone else think Enid may take the role of Sophie in the TV show?
I was kinda thinking that, unless she gets rekt.
Rick well...sort off. If you know what eye mean.
Its fun to know 70% of talking dead watching fans don't read the comics.
I'm pretty sure Hardwick does, and he basically has to act like he doesn't
Its obvious to me since this ep.
JESUS IS SO AWESOME.
that rick booty at the end of the episode was straight up the hottest thing ive seen in twd BY FAR

THIS
Yeah I started getting that feeling too.

Everyone was looking at Rick.

— Andrew Lincoln on reading Richonne’s first love scene
Positives
The dialogue felt real, no daft speeches

As soon as they put their hands together I started slowly saying Yes over and over again, so much excitement for this scene xD
True.
I thought Paul Rovia could be a good character, until I realized he was a freaking pervert.
I guess walkers scent fell on on her and she probably followed walkers who left alexandria earlier than the 'battle'
He can be both. He is both in the comics.

Carl takes that phylosophy from killing his mom. Its a full circle for a 3 year character development.
