Rick & Michonne
What are your thoughts about Rick and Michonne hooking up? I personally love the fact that they're together. We've seen them come so close these past seasons. They have always had a connection. And for them to finally realize that it was something more than friendship was awesome. The scene was beautifully put together! It shows that something so small can evolve into something special.
I have seen some hate on these two about getting together and I don't understand why?

A few people are maybe a little annoyed as michonne ad rick end up with a different characters in the comics but even then thats all it is.
Maybe they mean other forums? Ive seen some real ugliness in other places.
Its pretty obvious why some people object but thankfully, they seem to be in the minority. A lot of people are for this pairing. Not all are as far on this ship as I am, lol, but a most are openminded about it.

all for it. its a nice change that shows a relationship between a white guy and black person.
however its not in the comic - while that fact doesn't bother me there is no garteen that it will last. useerally in a horror stoy its better not have s_x since it tends to lead to character dying. so I don't know. I hope it last.
Gimple says its for the long haul. She is taking the Andrea role in this way.
My parents were weirded out since they both read the comics, but I was really happy about it. My god, I actually was secretly shipping it, then it happened.

In my honest opinion? Because it's interracial. Trust me, I have seen shit like "Rick doesn't like black women" and "Michonne wouldn't go for white men tho" multiple times and I see them also try and make out it's a valid point when it’s not???
I also see people try and make out Rick and Jessie had more chemistry together, when they didn't? They only spent a couple of episodes together before hooking up meanwhile he and Michonne had three seasons of build up. And worst of all before Richonne was canon or Jessie/Rick I saw people try and claim Michonne is a "gorilla" and "anyone who ships Richonne is a retard" just so they could defened a ship which was really out of place.
Whoa, that happened? I don't watch the show, but woah!
That sounds so much cooler than RickxAndrea from the comics!

Can't wait till carl starts calling Michonne mom. Anyways they are my second favorite couple next to "Gleggie" of course.
Their—non-romantic—relationship in the comics is brilliant. Rick and Michonne reached such a level of respect and empathy that they didn't end up hooking up, and Michonne was the only one who knew about Lori in the telephone. Plus, I loved the "heart-to-heart" that they had in issue 147, but it was stated by Rick himself that he feels closer to Andrea than he ever was with Lori, so Richonne was ruled out.
I suppose that it could work in the TV Show… I just would've liked it if they were just pals, because you don't really see that dynamic on post-apocalyptic fiction these days. Oh, if only they hadn't messed Andrea up…
I like it, I think they're very sweet together and about time too! I was already starting to like the stuff before on how Rick, Michonne and Carl were becoming like a family to each other, and to see that Carl even accepts Michonne as family to admit that to her, I thought was really sweet. So I'm okay with the Richonne thingy.
I've wanted this for a while. I lit up when they held hands, I was all "omg are you serious?" I was like a giddy schoolgirl.
It's been a while for a ship I really like actually happened.

I usually HATE when a movie or TV-series adapted from other media doesn't follow canon.
This isn't the case, though. I freaked out! In a good way, I mean. I was really happy that it happened. I wasn't shipping them because knowledge of the comics stopped me from shipping, as I had no hopes that it would ever happen, no matter how much it looked like it had to happen AND IT HAD TO HAPPEN SO MUCH AND IT DID IT HAPPENED GUYS IT TOTALLY HAPPENED.
