  • Well if Season 3 takes place after Season 2 then probably not considering he's super dead by that time.

  • and he is also dead in the comics. hersal's death was dales for those that don't know.

  • No, Bob replaced Dale's death in the show, Hershal replaced Tyreese.

  • That was the Dale I was referring to. Also Hershel took Tyreese's death and Dale's death was original in the show.

  • Hershel took Tyreese's death? What do you mean?

  • Tyreese was killed in the comics at the prison the same way that Hershel was killed in the show.

Hershel in the TV series was decapitated by the Governor similarly to Tyreese in the comics.

Than how did Hershel die in the comics?

Because if he was anything in the comics like he was on the show, I'll bet he went down fighting - judging from what I've seen on the show - Hershel's character on the show in general, tells me that he fought to the death.

    Am I right?

Also, I heard that Hershel was a bit younger in the comics, than on the show - like in the comics that he was somewhere in his mid 50s, as opposed to being in his early 70s - like he was in the show.

    Is that true?

Tyreese was killed in the comics at the prison the same way that Hershel was killed in the show.

  • After being overrun by the Governer's men, Hershel and his son Billy try to escape the prison while being attacked with a hail of bullets. Unbeknownst to Hershel, Billy was gunned down in the process and was dragging his sons body. Hershel kneels and begs for the Gov to just end it and he is shot in the head.

Also he is very religious. Espically if his kids swear/curse. This can be seen when Andrea takes some of the group for shooting practice. He also says that this is all gods work etc.. You know, religious stuff.

  • If you want to know more maybe look up the comic characters on the walking dead wikia.

    Or try the comics :)

  • Herschel in the comic is Hershel from the game Episode 1 S1

  • That wouldn't work anyways because the game is in the comic universe. Either way, Dale is dead by this point.

  • He meant that if Season 3 takes places after Season 2 of the game. The games have always been set in the same universe as the comics, the show has nothing to do with both these mediums. Dale is dead in the comics by the time Season 2 of the game takes place, so obviously he'd be dead in Season 3 aswell.

  • They ruined her character arcs in the TV Show by remixing the story—not to mention that she and Carol magically got separated, because they were together at Hershel's Farm after it caught fire.
