Your favorite Trailer for The Walking Dead Game.

edited March 2016 in The Walking Dead

What is your favorite Trailer from The Walking Dead? For me, it has to be this one. This trailer made me grip the edge of my seat, especially the very end.

Not only did it get me excited for Episode 5 of Season 2, but it's also got me excited for Season 3 - and what's going to happen. I just hope the writers actually define Season 3's clearly - as to what is the take-away message, if you will.

Anyway, without further delay, here's that trailer I mentioned. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did, and still do!

It's so wierd that despite being the worst episode of Season 2, Episode 4 has the best trailer and credits song.

  • And the best slide.

  • Yeah, which has NOTHING to do with the story.

I love the In Harm's Way trailer. Something about that one just sticks fondly in my mind.

Also, I want to give a real honorable mention to the Long Road Ahead accolades trailer. In my opinion, pretty powerful:

  • Mine would be a tie between the Amid the Ruins trailer and the A House Divided trailer.

  • And I thought she was going to kill some people and I mean unseenable characters in the slide.

  • Sorry to have to say and I know it depends on individual taste but.... I felt all the end credits songs of season 2 sucked! except for episode 3. Especially awful sounding was episode 4 and I tried to fast forward or skip to menu but couldn't so I muted the speakers. Only episode 3 was the best fit for season 2. And All of season one had great end credits

  • The Episode 5 finale trailers for Seasons 1 and 2.

  • Can you atleast say why you didn't like episode 4's credit music? I thought the "Salty Seas" fit the episode perfectly.

  • I like the credits songs, but I always feel that the end credit tracks for Episodes 3 and 4 didn't really fit with the actual episodes themselves. Songs don't have to match up lyric by lyric no, but the emotions in the song didn't seem as if they quite belonged to the events that transpired.

Can you even explain what's wrong about all of them? "In The Pines" was fitfull for Episode 2 as it's about Clementine going to the mountains, "In The Water" is about Clementine going to a river full of massacre and "Salty Seas" is about the relationship between Clem and Sarah. All of them fit the episodes well so shut up and learn how to think about them.

Not counting trailers that have been posted already one if the trailers i did like was the one for All that Remains, i still remember they hype when it was first posted and i remeber that some people thought that Nick was Kenny :P

  • Don't tell him to shut up. He didn't even give his reason as to why he believes the credit songs didn't fit the episodes. He might have some good points.

Really stranger? And You could afford to learn how to speak to someone with different taste than you..without sounding like an upset offended toddler.. Only because someone doesn't care for what you care for in the same way or fashion.

    .. Good Day.

  • Salty seas had a strange melody to it for an episode that left off with one of the biggest and most exciting Cliff hangers of that series. It just drained me out of the tense mood when I first played it.

Your on the edge of your seat with the gun stand off, the Russians all fire away and then you get that depressed salty sailor tunes like your lost at sea or just lost your dog. Which didn't fit the episodes ending (to me). That and it just doesn't sound that impressive, And every episode seemed to carry this same "sad farmer by the creek" tune at the end. Yes the apocalypse is sad but it is also haunting, scary, and a survival thrill..Episode 3 had a sad themed song already which actually did fit with a couple cherished members of the group lost to the herd (Nick, Sarita and Carlos.) Especially Carlos and Sarita because now naive sheltered Sarah has to carry on in shock after tragically loosing her father in front of her and ditto with Kenny and his second lover.

I will take back episode 5 because even though it was just a repeat tune of season 1 Lee and Clem moments. It had a sense of nostalgia and completion of a hellish journey and hope of life improving somehow but unsure if it will get better or uneasiness of what's comes next.

  • Good point! It felt a bit off considering the big cliff hanger at the end of episode 4. But overall, I felt it fit the episode in general! The song reminds me of Clementine and Sarah's relationship, Jane and Jaime's relationship, and even Kenny. Considering the episode was mainly about those four characters. Sure it felt a bit off, but it matches the overall theme of the episode.

  • Most didn't feel like they belonged in season 2 for me except for episodes 3 and 5 they were decent for what it was worth. And all season 1 was spot on even 400 days I would say. I really hope season 3 will be best of all in not just the plot, but sound track too. Even still it's tough for them to top season 1.

  • I see your point and it is understandably logical. Or one great theme for all episodes like how season 1 of the game did , how the wolf among us did, or even how the walking dead TV series currently does it. one awesome tone and carry on with that till the end without lyrics and only instrumentals. Maybe that's what I was looking for with season 2. To be a bit more like season 1 in most aspects. But I doubt I'll ever change my mind about the songs except for episodes 3 and 5 ...far as S2 goes.

  • I don't even care, I loved Episode 4 and I remember everyone getting hyped after this trailer.

  • I freaking know right. This is a five episode series. Why in the heck did we need such a filler-like episode. I feel that the episode had the opportunity to explore Clementine, to have her reflect on the experiences in the new world, a alone episode in which she just wonders in the woods to think, the mile walk to the museum would've been perfect time for something like that , but that 1.5 mile walk was skipped.

Also, how fast did Clem get to that museum?
