Honestly? Yes, it's reasonable leaving either brother behind, as long as the reason for leaving that brother is valid.
I've seen many people that say that leaving Asher behind is right, while other people say that leaving Rodrik behind is right. But... there isn't anything right and wrong. If you left Asher behind, it's cool. If you left Rodrik behind, it's cool, as long as your reason for leaving the brother is cool.
It's seriously like Kenny vs Jane all over again. There's always a person that tries to convice someone's opinion that it's wrong, if that 'someone' has a different opinion than that 'person'. But why is it the right thing to leave Asher behind? Why is it the right thing to leave Rodrik behind? As I said, there's nothing wrong and nothing right about it. It's just neutral, if you know what I mean.
I think we should be more grateful. If GRRM had been writing this episode himself, he probably would have killed both brothers. (And put in an extra scene with Gryff raping Talia just to be a troll.)
I guess I misinterpreted. I thought you were saying saving Asher was wrong. But there are plently of Rodrik fans that say saving Asher is wrolng as well.

People are disagreeing. Nothing dramatic's happening. Relax.
All right. I'll calm down.

Thanks, now I'm going to have nightmares tonight.
Well, I'm not one of them.
