Exactly right, seeing as it was her idea, and her insistence that she would go whether she had an escort or not, they can hardly be blamed. They didnt exactly see that arrow coming either.
To be fair, they kept saying no, but Denise was going no matter what, since it was a personal thing for her that ultimately cost her in the … moreend. Short of knocking her out and tying her up, they couldn't stop her from doing it, and there's only so much control you can have over a person before you start going into Governor territory. People do what they do, apocalypse or not, and unless they're children you really can't lord over them, even if it's for their own good.

Though this episode is great, Denise's death left me speechless. AMC really screws with my feelings and that's not nice. "Why? ... Why? ... Why?!" I couldn't think straight after that scene. Seeing Denise lying on the tracks was heartbreaking. And she never got a chance to say she loved Tara. Was a bit disappointed with Dwight's burn... Considering the make-up on this show is so good, I was expecting more. Maybe they toned it down for other reasons, but still stick to my disappointment.

She will probably remain unknown forever which in my opinion is way worse than dying.
You'll always hope for the character to return, but she never does. (Damn I really miss Lilly ;( )
They can go over the top with comics because, theyre drawings but not as much with a real person. Like with Carl, a whole chunk of his face was gone, that would have been hard to reproduce. Thats why I give them a pass for not looking exactly like the comic. As long as it gets the point across, its good enough for me.
Well, "D" lost his "D", he's Wight now. XD "Eye" didn't see Denise's death coming, I thought Abraham was getting it. I feel sad, but still, I'm relieved that Abraham isn't gone yet. Amazing adaptation of Issue 98, I'm guessing the two remaining episodes will be adapted from Issues 99 and 100. I'm so excited to see Negan.
I Really liked the cold open and how they represented the passage of time with the repeat scenes slightly altered. Theyre very creative with editing and they made the town look very pretty with the shots across the water. This is why I love this show and think its a lot better than people give it credit for.
Also, "30 years is not long enough." Aww, he has a bit of a romantic streak. Okay, Abe, you got me. I will see where this ship goes.
What do you think she would have said, if it hadn't been for getting shot with the arrow?
How do you think she would've finished that sentence?
I've been thinking about that ever since the episode ended tonight.
Why does everyone hate Jake? He doesn't seem like a "Ben" case to me. In fact, I'd like him and Charlie both to survive, and maybe go their separate ways.
But isn't it easy to avoid that site? Or is that some new Facebook shenanigan? I remember that I looked the site up once or twice when I was really anxious before, but it never appeared on my timeline or anything.

I haven't seen all of this episode, but I'm getting sick of all these supporting characters from Alexandria dying. Denise had some promise, but yet again they go and kill somebody who isn't one of the main cast. That new honest trailer was right.
Did Carol's boyfriend die this episode? If not he's probably next, he's too deadable, somebody just there to die for her to get sad over. And that other chick with the glasses with the supplies, she looks dead as dead because they've done absolutely nothing with her. This show's getting too predictable with this. I'm serious, I'm pissed off about this. If it isn't the 'we have to have walkers every episode' then it's 'we have to kill somebody for dramatic effect' and often that ends up being somebody who got introduced that long ago.
Hey people working on the show here's an idea, how about leaving just a few people from Alexandria alive and let us see them adapt in their own unique ways like Gaberiel is figuring out? Because I'm telling you, cheaply throwing around the 'it's the walking dead' motto like poop for ratings all the time isn't doing you any favors.

I think they did a bad job with Dwight's face. It didn't look nearly burnt enough. Also I'm really starting to get the feeling Carol might take the bat
Theyre not doing it for dramatic effect so much as theyre trying to follow the comic, and just doing the remixing of characters. Someone had to die and Im sorry it was Denise, I really did like her, and they seem to want to keep Abe around since he is now in a new love relationship. Im not sure what would be better? Redshirts? No deaths at all. No matter what they do, someone will hate it,

R.I.P Denise. Such a good doctor, why die like that? She deserved better. I dunno what to say about this episode though, kinda boring but omg, Eugene did NOT just bite a dick! That hurts so much even though Dwight deserved it. One question: Did Denise take Abraham's place from the comics? Getting shot from the back of the head through the eye and saying her last words?
Tobin, Carol's boyfriend is still alive. Olivia manages the supplies. I actually kind of like Tobin and he's getting some development, but Olivia yeah she hasn't done anything recently.
Aaron, Heath, and Spencer are the Alexandrians that seem to be getting the most attention.
Don't worry though. I'm sure a main character will die this season, it always happens.

If anyone here knows about that stuff, can people keep on talking and not notice when an arrow goes through the back of their head and into their eye? With that out of the way, Abraham's death has always been one of my favorites, and I was really happy to see it translated to the show. I'm sorry that it had to be Denise, though. Oh, forgot to say… I wouldn't have minded if Dwight was a better shot. You know what I'm talking about.
I think Dwight's burn was realistic. And it saves them tons of time compared to a heavier made-up burn.
I'm not sure about the specifics, but it's possible for someone to actually survive being shot in the head, so probably. Between the shock and the brain damage I'd say it seems reasonable for her to keep talking.

Here's how I see it going down. I see Daryl and Dwight getting into a fight to the death, like Rick and the Governor, when Rick and the others go to war on Negan. It will be one of the first times we really get to see Daryl in a fist fight. And I believe that Daryl will kick Dwight's pale ass!!!

Yeah, I still thought it was going to be Abraham who was going to get arrowed, but the moment she started going on with her speech I knew she was going to get it.
Also, I wish Dwight's face was a little more burned looking, but I guess they couldn't really because of how often theyd need to apply the burn make up on him for every little scene he is in.

Well I guess Dwight couldn't be burned as much as he is in the comics because it would take a long time to add his makeup every time he would show up
I don't want main characters to die, I just want them to not kill off secondary characters all the time, lol.
Well, someone has to die, and its either them or random redshirts.
They better not pull a Christa. That would be completely unacceptable.

I'm guessing she was going to say "And face your fears".
Yeah, im just liking to think of it that way.
He wasnt really giving a speech, just talking about rosita and holly and how he was feeling.
Why does everyone hate Jake? He doesn't seem like a "Ben" case to me. In fact, I'd like him and Charlie both to survive, and maybe go their separate ways.
KCohere said. Its easy to avoid a site, but people post it everywhere its hard.
Dwights Mark was a realistic version of a face burned with hot iron. In the comics it looked like Negan flamethrowered half his face.
Sasha might still get holly treatment.
The finale is an adaptation of issue 100 so,
next one is 99 i guess
It was a really good opening. Good to see that there are still so many creative ways to do it still.

If you want main characters to die you won't have to wait much longer.
Yeah, but they still gave up pretty fast. Also I mainly meant that she was an idiot (not that I don't like her character).
I think it will be Sasha instead of Holly.
Well its realistic (yes they though the burn from the comics was overdone and hired experts to tell them who it would look.)

Did not expect Denise to be the one Dwight killed as an introduction. And I dont think Dwight was burnt enough in my opinion

did anyone see his side of his face??? it is burned bad, but i get it. his front should be burned more.
Yeah I did see it I'm saying it should be more red, raw almost like the comics
Here's how I see it going down. I see Daryl and Dwight getting into a fight to the death, like Rick and the Governor, when Rick and the others go to war on Negan. It will be one of the first times we really get to see Daryl in a fist fight. And I believe that Daryl will kick Dwight's pale ass!!!

Its really just for dramatic effect, kinda like what happened in Breaking Bad.
Yeah true, we do have to think about the hours it would take to do that makeup
I like Tobin, it was nice to see Carol smooching with her new, and very brief I guess, boyfriend.
She is so not into him though. Clearly he's just a rebound. Im not sure there is much happiness in that.
Its sadly the truth of life:
You want someone to hate you? Exist
You want someone to like you? Exist
Yep. They wanted to switch it around.
They were trying to make the burn look realistic.
I think sasha will be up in the tower
I wonder if Carol is going to come back in a while something like Alpha.
