Or... it was made with the intent of making money? As every other game in the world. And what's your problem with people enjoying it more than TWD? They're happy with their game and you're happy with yours.

I really never understood the hype of this. It just created so people can just ignore games more awesome than this crap. Some even consider it better than TWD, I DO NOT accept that.

  • I forget, did they say they were bringing back the new fighting mechanics from Minecraft Story Mode for Michonne? I didn't notice anything in there but hearts and switching targets, and I didn't see that here, come to think of it.

  • lel.

I can already see this thread going downhill, generally a thread made around taking the piss out of a game doesn't go well. Oh but who am I to say anything.

  • "nitpicky" is kind of the point of the "Everything Wrong With..." series on youtube. It was probably what this thread was for, because that 's what's going on in the Minecraft one, but here it's mostly complaints about the game. It's okay if they point out the silliest things, as that is what they're kinda supposed to do.

  • Okay, but I'm sure that @AronDracula thinks those things are "wrong" with the game but could still enjoy it. I sometimes think about silly, nonsensical things in games or movies, but I still enjoy them. Some stuff in TFTB were weird, but I'm okay with that. Some stuff Aron said I agree with, but that doesn't make me a bad person. I love the new Michonne series (and don't want it to end yet...)

I said in a comment above here somewhere, that there is a "Everything wrong with..." in the Minecraft section, and they are all focusing on the nitpicky story part or game mechanics, which is what the series on youtube is about, so, the same thing could/should happen here. This isn't meant to be a thread of complaints of the game, it's supposed to be a fun discussion where people can say some of those statements "out of nowhere" as a joke, even if it isn't their true feelings about it. (Although, not a place to only do that just because you hate the game.) Hope this helped, and maybe cleared things up? (I tend to ramble on sometimes...)

Oh, but this statements proves that you acknowledge you're making sins out of nowhere. I believe we should strive to be as unbiased as possible.

  • People on the forums said they hoped that Michonne would have Minecraft's sword fighting, but that's about all I recall.

  • Sinning games is nitpicking. Nitpicking is not doing the ones that obviously make no sense, they are the ones that could even slightly not make sense. So don't go saying "You're just nitpicking here!" Because... That's the point. Ding!

  • Okay, everything makes more sense now. Seeing things in a humorous light definitely could've helped me understand the purpose of the thread. I apologize for the misunderstanding, @AronDracula!

I always chuckle when I see in the menu that @AChicken posted the latest comment.

(To agree with @bigdogg0821 here, and to get this point through to everyone in the thread because I'm sure some people are confused and angry at some people's "nitpick filled" comments...)

EX: I could say "Main-character-suffers-from-hallucinations-but-doesn't-tell-another-character-about-it cliché! (about Michonne)" but that doesn't mean I hate that part, it's just a small detail I'd like to point out... I really like Michonne. (And I'm excited for the next episode...)

Yeah, "it's just a chicken spouting random stuff!" -- (BokBokBok, gobblegobble, purr... BokBok...)

Anyway, it isn't entirely clear what this thread is meant to do. I'm sure the original poster saw this in the Minecraft thread, wanted to make it here, but didn't totally know what he was doing? But, it's okay, I'm just looking at all the angry comments, trying to defend people here and explain things to the clueless... Just your friendly neighbourhood chicken. (I'm sure you've got it, but if you are familiar with Telltale's Minecraft series, go check out their "Everything wrong..." thread, because I'm sure you'd see many small, insignificant details being torn apart there.)

Okay, everything makes more sense now. Seeing things in a humorous light definitely could've helped me understand the purpose of the thread.

I found those cringe-worthy, to be honest.

    That seems... unlikely...

No but really, I appreciate them adding variation to the notifications, but those were a bit too on-the-nose, and oddly specific in how they're worded. Something more neutral like "Norma is suspicious of your story" would have worked better, I think

Long loading screens are way too long I agree. They should improve that in the future. The black bars who appear during fights

  • Occasional frame rate issues. Especially around the blending in with the zombies scene when randall is firing from distance

  • That, and also the audio cut-outs are way too frequent and destroy any sense of immersion and completely ruined ep. 2 for me.

That said, I probably will end up playing ep. 3 anyway since I've already come this far.

  • Yeah I also had the audio problems at times. What platform are you on?

  • My biggest beef would have to be the lack of interaction with characters. Season 1 you could chat whenever there was a slow moment. Season 2 you couldn't but you still kinda got attached to people, but nobody cried when say Carlos died because you didn't have much interaction with him. Now it's even worse; Sam's sobbing over Greg's corpse and you're standing there like "...eh." Hell, you have one conversation with John. ONE! I was more attached to Sam The Murder Dog than him!

  • It's only 3 episodes. That's it.

  • That seems... unlikely...

People Who Think You're Lying Get Angry.

I didn't really mind the first one, but I felt like the one Worded Like This took out of the scene. Some people write like that in the YouTube comment sections.

The only thing that stops me buying the Michonne series myself is the entire length, and how it conflicts with the pacing of the narrative, the characters not being interesting enough during their short appearance for me to be invested in the story, and the story itself being a rehash to older plot elements found in Season 1 and 2.

At this point, we're nearly done with the mini-series as we approach the finale, and I feel as if we've only just got into the meat of the story. Knowing that we're most likely only going to get another hour of wrapping up the entire conflict between Michonne, Pete, and the two groups fighting each other, there's a chance that the story will end in an anti-climatic fashion that accomplishes very little and doesn't do enough to add more character to Comic!Michonne.

Put simply, the mini-series takes the 'mini' far too literally.

  • Short episodes are way too short

    lol

Since when did walkers know how to walk underwater?

Because they're dead lmao. There's no gasses in them, they won't float. They won't drown either.

    Sam is discount Max Caufield.

    LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT

    Greg is a terrible shot.
    Randall is a terrible shot.

what does that have to do with something being wrong about the game

Yeah worst games always get nominated for awards, win awards and have five star reviews

  • How short are these episodes I cant decide wether to buy or not

  • That would be because Telltale thinks people liked Season 1 under the lense of an interactive TV show and not a role playing game, which is why all games after have less hubs/etc.

  • And 22 is old is it?

    • Episode 1: 1 hour and a half.
    • Episode 2: 1 hour.

If you want my advice, I think it's worth buying. Season 2 episodes had 1 hour and a half to 2 hours and people bitch a lot about their quality in retrospect the Michonne's 2nd episode had 1 hour and I haven't seen many people bitching about it, keep that in mind.

Whoa, that is short! I cant justify paying that much for a three odd hour game, maybe when its on sale I'll take the plunge. Thanks for the quick reply

Edit; I just wanted to to point out to the life is strange bashers one episode of lis is equal to this whole mini series in regards of length plus the waiting time in between episodes was shorter and the games cost about the same price

    Haven't played Minecraft: Story Mode—and I won't ever—so I really don't know, but isn't sword-fighting the same as fist-fighting and knife-fighting, in terms of gameplay?

Still crossing my fingers that GoT Season 2 will include that

Definitely not horrible but it's definitely overrated, and it definitely did not deserve any awards. And I definitely said definitely too much. Definitely.

  • People complained about season 2 choices not mattering. In Michonne game I don't really see any interesting choices to be made, much less our choices not mattering. Doesn't feel like i've bonded with anyone, fell out with anyone or really formed any type of relationship with anyone (except maybe Pete) based on choices. A lot of the most noteable choices feel like hollywood, action, heat of the moment choices such as "kill this guy" or "let this guy live". Hopefully season 3 isn't of the same ilk.

That's true. I was amazed when LiS episode 4 took me 3 hours to finish, but that does not make this series less awesome tho. If you're not going to buy this game at least I recommend that you check it out on youtube, imho, it's a story worth watching.

  • At least I can agree with that but still. It came out of nowhere to make people forget about TFTBL and GOT. It's such a Beyond Two Souls spin-off.

what does that have to do with something being wrong about the game

Easy, Greg doesn't aim for the head to a close walker and Randall had a lot of time to hit Michonne with bullets while she was climbing slow the fallen tower, that's the power of Michonne's plot armor.

Accepted. I never meant I hate Michonne mini-series so much. I was doing that for fun. Even CinemaSins makes me laugh at some sins they found.

  • Made people forget about TFTBL? I don't think so, definitely didn't divert my attention, or anyones for that matter, I was very active in that forum when the series was going and I didn't see none of that. Maybe GoT? I didn't care much for that game so I wouldn't know.

I don't see how it's a beyond two souls spin-off at all. Beyond two souls was a great game in my eyes, even with David Cages quirks. Also Life is Strange = Time Travel, Beyond Two Souls = Story about a paranormal entity connected to a girl. Completely different subjects.

I probably shouldn't have mentioned it.

What's similar between them is that the choices you make don't matter until you choose how you want to end the game. But I'd admit that BTS is better than LIS itself.
