The Walking Dead: The Alien

The Walking Dead: The Alien is a little 32 page issue released by Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin, detailing some events in Barcelona, Spain. It's canon (confirmed by Kirkman), too! I don't wanna spoil much, but it's definitely related to the comic series
The best part, you can get it free, or just set the price to what you want. It's from this site that offers comics meant to be read digitally from the creators to it. If you feel the creators deserve some money, chip in! Here is the link to get it:

I thought it was a neat little tie-in, with Jeffrey Grimes and such. It's also good to see the apocalypse is everything else and such. I wasn't the biggest fan of the art, but it's cause I'm so used to Charlie Adlard's style.
It was a nice thing to read, and yeah.
What an unexpected plot twist, for real! It's good to know what happened to Rick's brother. I thought that the story was pretty good for a self-contained 32-page comic issue, and the characters were decently developed and interesting. This also confirms that the apocalypse has taken over everywhere in the world.
Edit: Holy shit! Oh God, oh God! I'm pretty sure Kirkman said earlier this year that he was going to be introducing a new character though a different medium, didn't he? Claudia could very well have made it to the US and find one of the communities!
That be neat, I'd like it.
I really liked it! Unfortunately I don't have money to donate
Ooo, it'll be really cool if Claudia shows up in the comics
Holy shit that was really really good! Hopefully we get to see Claudia pop up in the comics in the future.
I'd love to see more spin offs like this down the line!
I believe @XxSoulxX is from Spain, so they might be interested in this.
Took a minute to get accustomed to the art, but this shit was fucking brilliant and I hope we get more Walking Dead coming from Vaughan and Martin. Awesome to finally see Rick's brother. Now we have to wonder of Claudia will ever make an appearance in the story.
Richie Grimes...no I can't see it. Unless it was in a serial about his young rambunctious adventures with Shane! But that's a different story.
Thanks for mention me! And yes, I'm real interesting. I'm glad they decided to make a WD story in Spain.
A lot of people loved this, so I'll take a break this afternoon to read it
Just downloaded now! Will read after work. Might print it out. Might also print the cover on A3 for a poster
Finished! I loved it. Wonder if Claudia will find Rick in the comics, but that last scene seems like she will never find him
Or she will? I don't know xD
PD.: Damn, i didn't expect Jeff to die that soon
Printed it out haha - put in a nice cover and binder
Well I guess his real name could be Richard Grimes, who also goes by Richie or Rick.
I always thought that his real name was Richard Grimes, to be honest. Is it common for Americans to have a short form of another name as first name?
Yeah, for example my name is Daniel but everyone calls me Dan or Danny, obviously mine isn't as big as Richard to Rick, but I'd say its pretty common to have a nickname.
Being from Spain and more specifically from Barcelona itself this was an amazing surprise! I really really enjoyed this. I'm so glad I got to see my hometown (or what was left of it) in the TWD universe!! This was an awesome read.
Oh, but I'm talking about cases where the nickname is the same as the name. Like if your actual name was Dan or Danny, instead of Daniel. Does that ever happen?
I apologize in advance if this sounds foolish.
Oh, as if Rick's name was really Richie.
Id say finding someone whos real name was Richie instead of Richard or someone who's name was Dan and not Daniel wouldn't be very common, but its not impossible.
Just in case @MetallicaRules and @OzzyUK haven't seen this, tagged.
I wouldn't be surprised if they had and I look like an idiot now
Woah. Never heard of it, but seems so cool! I'll read it tomorrow
That is so weird, I literally just got done reading it 5 minutes before you tagged me. I thought it was alright, I do hope we see Claudia in future issues of TWD and we can see Rick's reaction to what happened to his brother, that would be awesome.
I know a Kim a Mike and Tom all on they're birth ceritificates. They are all the youngest of five or six so the parents got tired of spelling out names. its pretty common these days I think.
Claudia's get-up was literally Spanish Kingdom guard
I did see it and i thought it was pretty good, i had no idea Rick had a brother unless i forgot he mentioned it. I think it will be interesting if Claudia does show up in the regular comics to give this story some conclusion but it would be almost impossible for her to find Rick as she has no idea where his group is located.
this was well worth the read. printed it out and used up an ink cartridge, now I know how much ink it takes to print a comic. JEff Might not be dead. Claudia might chop the foot off, its not like they have to run much on the boat!
she thinks the american government has some sort of trick for dealing with the Zs. she is going to washington D.C. and Alexandria isn;t terribly far from D.C I think.
Bomb so the Spaniards are setting out for the new world again! History all over again!
He lost too much blood, we can see it in the final pages, it is basically impossible for him to be alive.
it just looks like a lot of blood because its the only color in the book.
I don't think so, the rest of the water was with a different colour, and it was right behind the boat.
Finally got round to reading this. just forgot. What a surprising twist! It's Jeff Grimes! No we know his fate, now will Claudia appear in the Comic? Not sure if that would be good or bad. It's highly unlikely that she'll find the group.
Overall was a good one off comic, nothing special just gave us another glimps of a Grimes family member, that didn't make it.
He's been mentioned a few times, but in recent years he's not been mentioned. Wish there was another grimes tbh aha
well claudia thinks the US government has a cure or something so she'll be headed towards D.C. which is fairly close to Alexandria. I think if she makes it across the Atlantic she'll have a good chance.
