I wasn't really aware that the hubs/puzzles made Season 1 comparable to an RPG game to a small degree. I thought it was more of an adventure driven genre.
That would be because Telltale thinks people liked Season 1 under the lense of an interactive TV show and not a role playing game, which is why all games after have less hubs/etc.
Sinning games is nitpicking. Nitpicking is not doing the ones that obviously make no sense, they are the ones that could even slightly not make sense. So don't go saying "You're just nitpicking here!" Because... That's the point. Ding!

Haven't played Minecraft: Story Mode—and I won't ever—so I really don't know, but isn't sword-fighting the same as fist-fighting and knife-fighting, in terms of gameplay?
I think not every understands or agrees with how CinemaSins, as well as other Sins series made by different people, deliberately nitpicking a movie/game for the sake of humor and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Doing things like finding 5 bottles or really long awkward out of place stealth to make the game longer doesn't exactly equate to a better game or value.
Whoa, that is short! I cant justify paying that much for a three odd hour game, maybe when its on sale I'll take the plunge. Thanks for the … morequick reply
Edit; I just wanted to to point out to the life is strange bashers one episode of lis is equal to this whole mini series in regards of length plus the waiting time in between episodes was shorter and the games cost about the same price
What? Reread my comment. I was defending the topic and stating how the idea of this is to pick every little detail and criticizing people for doing that is wrong
It's just meh overall. The writing is better than Season 2, that's for sure but some characters aren't developed at all (John and the blonde girl from episode 2). It doesn't help development if the episode is barely an hour.
No, you need to evade attacks and not get too close to the enemies, move to a safe distance and then attack.
It's the most free combat system in Telltale's games :P
the whole reason why her plot armor is validated is because she returns in the comics, AND she's the playable character. I really don't get why people just chalk up plot armor as a fault, they're not supposed to die until the writers decide. that's like sinning a zombie game because it has the zombie apocalypse in it. it's the entire point!
and what's the point in having a story then if the main character trips over a rock, hits their head, and dies in the first 30 minutes?
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT
Muhahahahaha.
Greg is a terrible shot. Randall is a terrible shot.
what d… moreoes that have to do with something being wrong about the game
Easy, Greg doesn't aim for the head to a close walker and Randall had a lot of time to hit Michonne with bullets while she was climbing slow the fallen tower, that's the power of Michonne's plot armor.

You don't think I know that? Gee, I get why she won't die but Randall sucking at aiming just makes it unrealistic.

Oh Clem&m are you missing out. She's the best original character besides Randall. I'm putting my bets that she'll be in season three.
Just if you can. Give the series a second chance. The game is still a telltale formula game but it's intricate in its own right. I liked it more my second time through

People complained about season 2 choices not mattering. In Michonne game I don't really see any interesting choices to be made, much less ou… morer choices not mattering. Doesn't feel like i've bonded with anyone, fell out with anyone or really formed any type of relationship with anyone (except maybe Pete) based on choices. A lot of the most noteable choices feel like hollywood, action, heat of the moment choices such as "kill this guy" or "let this guy live". Hopefully season 3 isn't of the same ilk.
Felt like a cliche story. Like a classic TWD storyline that I feel like wouldn't really change the characters much. Though we do find out about michonnes family and what happened to collete and elodie, the actual conflict seems of less importance.
It's like michonne has dealt with this, and in a sense the player has dealt with this for a while now. So when we sit with Greg he tells us things like, "You don't look scared. You look like you've done this a hundred times". It's the everlasting struggle of coming to terms with what this world is making you into and either holding onto the hope of change or letting the world take you.
I honestly would rather have been Randall or even Norma in this storyline. Think how cool it would be to deal with michonne and her crew. Have to decide whether ppl disrupting your community is worth it. If you want to be maniacal or methodical and how michonnes group would treat you based on this. It just would've been a way better received storyline if we were in the other people's shoes.
You dont collect bottles for 15 hours lol. I like being able to wonder around I find telltale game abit too on rails if you know what I mean flaffing around collecting stuff and looking at posters lets you feel like the world actually is interactive. I love telltale and every time a new game is announced I cross my fingers and hope they are going to be more gamey than moviey and imalalways dissappointed. Come on telltale let me enjoy the world you make at my pace stop driving me through them!
Doing things like finding 5 bottles or really long awkward out of place stealth to make the game longer doesn't exactly equate to a better game or value.
But what's the point (no pun intended) in nitpicking the game if you have no solutions?
cinemasins and gamesins do it for views and money. That's the world I get it. Why do you do it on this forum?
Rather than pointing out things that could actually get better for the next games, since this is their site and telltale staff or sometimes here, why forget the nitpicking and focus on making the games better.
Like calling out the lag and the black bars are good. Calling something a sin even though you understand why it's there is just insane. Even when I call out the plot points of the game it's not too nitpick but to provide the opinion and give ideas on how they can improve.
If that's not your point your wasting your time. It's not like your dartigan or gamingsins
"nitpicky" is kind of the point of the "Everything Wrong With..." series on youtube. It was probably what this thread was for, because that … more's what's going on in the Minecraft one, but here it's mostly complaints about the game. It's okay if they point out the silliest things, as that is what they're kinda supposed to do.

No, no, I get it. it's just some people are getting angry over what people are saying (ex: Greg is a terrible shot. ... Randall is a terrible shot. ... What's the point of Zachary having two missing in his right hand? What's the cause of it? Before or after the apocalypse? Until Telltale gives us a confirmation about it, it"ll count as a sin.) I'm only trying to explain to people how the usual name of "Everything wrong with..." works. A few people are thinking others automatically hate the game 'cause of the nitpicks... You can write your complaints or advice to Telltale if you want, but I wanted to get people to understand the reasoning behind it... Cinemasins or other people do it for humour, others are trying here too.

Can you Link to the article where it says that. I'd be so disappointed if this somehow ended up not influencing season three with all these "(blank) will remember that" showing up. It'd not be a waste but this wasn't only for comic fans. I'm pretty sure someone will be on season three

Then your statement is false until verified.
Can't wait for Paige to show up in season three. Unless they bring someone back from season one I'm only looking forward to her.
What surprised me the most is how very little you really learn about Michonne. Also, how they pretty much threw away the other members of the group and immediately aligned Michonne two characters. One them that can be entirely gone for the rest of the second episode besides the beginning.
The only thing that stops me buying the Michonne series myself is the entire length, and how it conflicts with the pacing of the narrative, … morethe characters not being interesting enough during their short appearance for me to be invested in the story, and the story itself being a rehash to older plot elements found in Season 1 and 2.
At this point, we're nearly done with the mini-series as we approach the finale, and I feel as if we've only just got into the meat of the story. Knowing that we're most likely only going to get another hour of wrapping up the entire conflict between Michonne, Pete, and the two groups fighting each other, there's a chance that the story will end in an anti-climatic fashion that accomplishes very little and doesn't do enough to add more character to Comic!Michonne.
Put simply, the mini-series takes the 'mini' far too literally.
i don't think any of these people will show up in season three cause they are on the coast, close to the kingdom, the hilltop and alexandria, and the saviors. Wellington is a far cry from them. this all takes place when Michonne is absent from the comics, before the fair and the whisperers show up.
It's the length of each episodes that concerns me, not the mini-series containing three episodes instead of five.
Episode 1 can be completed in 80 minutes, and the second episode can finish in just one hour. To compare, an episode from Season 2 would be roughly an hour and a half in length, and an episode from Season 1 can go up to two hours.
Because there's only three episodes to tell Michonne's story instead of five, I would have thought that each episode would be longer to compensate, but in this case they episodes are even shorter than a typical Telltale game episode. It would have made more sense to combine In Too Deep and Give No Shelter into a single episode, since the pacing of the story gives me the impression that the story is only 1/3 done, and yet we're already at the finale.
I just don't think the Michonne's mini-series is worth a purchase from me at this point.
They did 3-4 depending on whether or not you count the skip from S1 to S2 as one. (The 2-year skip after the restroom death, the week-long skip in A House Divided, and the 9 days skip at the end)
No one has to go to Alexandria. In fact this is said to be during the time before season two. Though I don't have the link I know it was stated that this happened or is happening before Clem and Wellington
I'm having fun just chopping off heads with her mechete. It's fun, and that's all it needs to be for me. Defiantly worth a buy IMO. There are no flaws I can point out, I'm just having fun with it.
this is Michonne from the comics. Its filling in time that she was missing from the series; after the saviors to before she shows up at the fair in the sailboat. the series is mostly about Michonne trying to come to grips with the death of her children. so how does that dovetail into season 3? it doesn't. Michonne isn't going to Wellington. she is not gonna meet up with Clem. I don't think the stories ever intersected much, except for brief appearances by Glen and Herschel. Its a standalone thing they have already said that

So you mean I'm complaining about the game being bad? They MAY be nitpicking but some of them are funny to read. Don't you have sense of humor?
Well, yeah, I meant more of an "emotional" role playing game, but you get the idea.

And it makes the most sense, since it's Minecraft.
loved episode 2.
Thought episode 1 was boring.
She's not a teenager. That's what I was correcting him on.

Hopefully you didn't kill Randall.
Cause then you'll see how the choices matter.
chancing the screen restoration every time a action seane happen that is distracting. sin for that. the qte are difficult as well

That would have been cool but I think Norma and Randall are better antagonists and if they had done that, it would make Michonne seem antagonistic.

Michonne is somewhat antagonistic even in this mini series. It'd fit well especially with the player knowing michonne is a protagonist
I'm sorry I don't know.

yeah but no one who knows about Alexandria and the other places would want to head for cold ass wellington.
Just the same problems season 2 and other recent Telltale games had.

That scene with John was very poorly executed - for some reason I find myself intensely hating the character.
