Am I the only one...?
...who would have preferred having both Royland and Duncan at the end? I mean, Duncan/Royland had legitimate reasons for treason. In my first playthrough, I spared Duncan, cuz he was a reasonable guy, and I understand reason, but I had to go back and save Royland, my sentinel. I mean, they're both honorable and great men, and neither of them deserved to die. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I don't know, it felt good killing Duncan mate.
Rodrik or Asher dies because of the traitor, if Duncan/Royland wouldn't have told the Whitehil about Asher returning to Ironrath none of then would have died, the traitor deserve to die, killing a protagonist makes it personal.
It's more interesting with just one of them.
I don't think he told Whitehill about Asher. I think Andros told him before he was imprisoned.
Well what is off is how if you kill the traitor, the Sentinel survives by having Whitehill soldiers around him. How does your Sentinel survive? He got lucky. Real lucky.
And how would Andros even know?
Oh shit, good point.
Gwyn says that the traitor told them about Asher when you met her.
I forgot XD. But I still woulda preferred if both of them could be at the end.
I thought about it more and I decided that having both would be detrimental. They disagreed and fought for the entire season, it would only get worse considering one of them was a traitor. Like can you even imagine hanging out with Sentinel Royland and traitor Tuttle? No way jose
Exactly. The traitor (Duncan in my case) deserved to die
I think I did have them both at the end? ?
I spared the traitor. So I saw them both
You can't have both at the end, sadly.
Your sentinel died in the battle of Ironrath.
It might be just me but I see no point in playing these if I dont stick with what I chose, I enjoy playing the alternatives but if I just went back every time I made a mistake I wouldnt see the point in playing.
Also the betrayal remains one of the worst scenes in the game, all logic and prior character behavior was thrown out the window for some twist. I killed Duncan beacuse apparently he got hit in the head or something to have such a personality and behavior change.
Im happy with just my sentinel at the end
I rewind cuz I can.
I know you can I'm just saying I dont get it, why do you play a choice based game if you wont stick with your choices on at least your first playthrough.
I've seen tons of youtubers do it too and I just dont get why
I always have two save files when I play these games.
A first playthrough and a canon playthrough. I guess they regret their choices too much and they wanna go back
I absolutely agree. While making mistakes can be painful and costly (like me fucking up the Michonne finale and getting BROak killed), it is part of having a genuine playthrough. I play these games like I'm the character in real life, and as convenient as it would be life doesn't have a rewind feature.
Really? Well shoot, I mustve missed that part.
Did you see him get surrounded/downed by Whitehills?
aaaahhh probably
i cant recall rn but yeah
I wanted to save my sentinel thus i killed the traitor. He doesn't deserve to live.
