Is it obvious that Christa and Omid were supposed to have Alvin and Rebeccas story lines?

It seems to me that they messed up a little while writing the story due to needing clem to be a bit bigger ( to be able to do the stuff she does in s2 ) but having christa's pregnancy already started. They then scrapped this idea when they realized and killed off Christa and Omid and introduced bec and Alvin.
Think of how better it would have been if it was Christa in that frozen tire, turning into a walker while holding her son and we as Clem have to shoot her or let Kenny do it. And leaving Omid to die in Howes Hardware. That seems like the way tell tale wanted it to go.
and another thing, do you remember when Eddie from 400 days could be seen in the silhoet fior season 2 episode 4? wonder why that was written out

Eddie wasn't intended to be in Season 2. Just because you can see a part of his face in the diorama, doesn't necessarily confirm his appearance.
Rather, he's a "placeholder".
a very disappointing and confusing one at that don't you agree deardrie?
No Omid and Christa were not intended for Alvin and Rebecca's story. If they were they wouldn't have made a Pregnant Christa model.
And as far as I am aware, in my playthrough, though Lee say's Christa is walking for two we never learn that's she's pregnant until Season 2.
No, the writers for season 2 just wanted a fresh start. It was said before Episode 1 came out that the episode was a kind of prologue to the rest of season 2 so new players could just jump right in.
That don't make sense
What I am saying is they didn't have to make a pregnant Christa model. They could've just had normal season 1 model of Christa. Christa and Omid were originally planned to be killed off in Episode 1 so they could have Clem on her own.
not if they intended to show christa giving birth like I think they did. What sense does it make to introduce a pregnant character only to kill her and introduce another pregnant character? They really did want to go that way but realized they needed Clem to be older so they had to kill her off
Yeah I wouldn't say it's very obvious but it easily could have been done and would have been better
They weren't expecting people to overanalyze a placeholder episode slide like they did.
they knew dam well what they were doing those teasing dics lol god I love em
There can be more than one pregnant character, you know. What @Anthorn is saying is that they wouldn't have used a pregnant Christa model if they had scrapped the idea of her giving birth. That was never the initial idea.
its called exposition, they needed to tell us what happened to her baby as they hinted the crap out her pregnancy in season 1.
And they still didn't even tell us what happened, they just wrote it out like the mistake it was.
Yeah. No, they wanted Clem to be on her own so they got rid of Christa and Omid. If they realised there was no point in having a pregnant Christa then why bother making her visibly pregnant in Episode 1. It's not like the Time Skip happened in Episode 2. What you're suggesting is Tell tale were too lazy to change Christa's model and just left her pregnant. Rebecca and Alvin were in Episode 1 too same as Christa and Omid so your theory that they changed their mind is wrong. Omid and Christa died like they were supposed to.
OH MY GOD TELLTALE ACTUALLY ABORTED CHRISTAS BABY!!
They needed to tell us what happened to Kenny but they didn't. Let's just say. Christa's baby got unlucky, real unlucky
OR...or.....
It was aborted like the unwanted baby it was.
The way I see it. Season 1 writers had a plan for Christa and Omid and then they left. Season 2 writers wanted to put their own stamp on characters and so got rid of Christa and Omid, because Episode 1 was supposed to be a prologue into season 2 and they didn't want season 1 baggage. Then they realised they hadn't fleshed out the cabin characters out well and brought back Kenny because people liked Kenny I guess.
you need to stop man, I have sandbagged the hell out of you, I win bruh, game over, go home.
XD
OMG .............
because once they realized they had to use a time skip they figured they were obligated to show us at least some of what happened to Christa and Omid and the baby, that's why they wrote in TWO TIMESKIPS.....
Hoa are you not following this?
Because you're trying to ascribe a storyline that wasn't there to explain why Alvin and Rebecca were poorly written.
Just because Christa was pregnant doesn't mean that she was originally intended to be in the role of Rebecca. She had no role other than to get separated from Clem.
I WILL KILL YOU AND EAAAT YOU ARGH
no the cabin crew ( that would have just been Pete Nick and Luke ) would have geled.
I read somewhere that Kenny was supposed to be the antagonist for season 2 and be in charge of a small community but they scrapped it and created Carver
People who found out were a small fraction of the fandom, who were part of this forum and other social media fandoms like Twitter and Tumblr. That's not many people as compared to everyone who played Season 2.
You forgot to include Carlos and Sarah.
You can't take that information as legit if it wasn't stated by Telltale, especially if you don't even remember where you took it from.
About your other comments… I really don't see how Rebecca and Alvin are rehashed Christa and Omid. The four of them are very different people, as far as we know. If the last two had initially been planned to take the former two's parts, then they would have also scrapped Christa being pregnant at the start.
I've actually heard Gavin Hammon say just that in an interview.
I saw it on walking dead wiki
I think having Kenny be in charge of the Howes group would've made for a better story; along with keeping Mike as the one of the guys that ambushes Clementine and Christa in All that Remains.
