Question for those who finished Michonne (no spoilers pls)

I havn't played the Michonne miniserie yet, but I have played through TWD s1 and s2. However, since then I have bought a new computer and lost all my save-files. My question is, does it add to the experience to have played any of the previous TWD games? Does it have any inpact on Michonnes storyline or can I just skip playing through season 1 and 2?

    No, Michonne is a completely separate game, you dont need season 1 or 2 (but you may need them for season 3 for very minor changes)
