There are only two games where a child has worked TWD of course and Last of Us.
It's nice to compare Ellie to Clem I think they would be best buds in a way both have a father figure of course TWD kills Lee off unlike Last of Us.
But I think Clem does have more to tell I would like to see her fighting against something in fact I do have an idea.
AJ wasn't breathing when he was born and began to cough which only made him breath but what if those few seconds mattered what if AJ has some sort of disability mentally not physically.
So he can't be blind or mute but it reminds me of Mass Effect's 2 Overlord DLC and the movie Cube which featured disabled characters that were helpful.
I think I can see Clem wanting to give up on him but she would find out he is smarter than we know not only will it be unique but something new we have never seen in a zombie game.
Before I get a rain of comments yelling at me no being mentally disabled doesn't mean stupid if you look at Mass Effect's 2 Overlord DLC David was quite smart able to talk to geth as well as other things the man in Cube was the same he was quite smart only socially unstable.
I am not saying Clem will hate him from the start but over time as AJ causes more trouble I doubt it though as I know people can get very offended these days and doing something like this is asking for a law suit from some woman who is 'worried about the children'.

If Clementine is going to be the main character in Season 3 (I want her to be) she will probably just end up in the same place (either w Jane or Kenny or alone ) and that will be that. Maybe since it would be hard for telltale to have different stories they would kill off Jane and Kenny so that every ending leads up to the same thing; alone. Actually I'm just coming up w this rn and that actually sounds like the best idea ever (at least to me) and it would only have to be different for the endings for a little while. And if you're wondering why Jane/Kenny would die; there is going to be a 4 year time skip so it would make sense since they're older. The whole story IS Clementine so she definitely needs to be at least a main role in the story (I personally want her to be the protagonist again) and yeah.

The special thing about Clementine is that since she is a child and still hasn't fully developed her character, making good/bad choices for … moreher is like making your own choices if u were in a apocalypse. For example If S2 Protagonist was Kenny and since I knew from S1 that Kenny is a crazy lovable bastard who can be an asshole sometimes, making nice choices for him wouldn't feel real at all. Telltale should not forget that Clem gave us the feeling that we are herself in the game and if Clem won't be in S3, it will be a big disappointment for the TWD fans. #TeamClem
