'Shiva' Episode Discussion

Mid-Season finale of Fear, hard to believe it came this fast. The group reached Rosarito, and the results were...interesting. I'm kind of curious what's going to happen here.

I suppose I'm going to be rotating between the forum and the the story sync.
CHRIST look at Travis' dogs...... Goddamn
What's wrong with Travis's feet?
Strand's ripped. I'm jealous.
Goddamn it Nick, wake the fuck up.
Being running/talking too long, barefoot I think?
It's refreshing to encounter a group of people who think that being a walker is the next step. Thinking about it, who says that it is not? There's no way of knowing if they remember their past life, other that Milton Mamet's experiments, though I don't get how they'd be supposed to react if they can't speak and have an unstoppable hunger.
Holy shit, Chris really is fucking insane
Well, Chris is definitely not a "good" guy now.
Shit man. Half the damn group has gone apeshit
Out of all the possible ways that Chris could've grieved—holding onto his dad; retrieving alone in one of the rooms; eating lots of pozole—it had to be angsty teeny, because conflict.
I mean, who wouldn't go apeshit for some pozole!
Well, I did not expect Travis to want to leave. Maybe he'll go to the Abigail with Strand.
I can't even lie.... that looks good as fuck.
I got a bad feeling about this. I think Celia is going to die, or shit is going to die.
I've never tried pozole, but it does look good!
I'm hungry now. Better go eat some humans!
Finally, Madison does something good, thank you.
Daniel and Celia are assumed dead?
Well uh, not good. Daniel...
Am I the only one that is completely and devastatingly underwhelmed by the character of Madison? More specifically Kim Dickon's acting? No matter whats going on or what she's doing, she has that same damn facial expression. And I kinda feel bad harping about that because I'm a largely unemotional person myself irl, but then again, I'm not a character/actor meant to intrigue and entertain people.
Nick, don't pull shit right now!
Oh my God.
And Nick lived among them, and they lived happily ever after.
The main cast is now reduced to, what, Maddie, Alicia, Strand and Ofelia
[Claps slowly.]
Wow. The credits don't even have music.
Is that meant to show how I feel.
And I even forgot the question mark.
Wooooooo shit! Anybody watching Preacher???
So another safe haven is destroyed by our "heroes".
I enjoyed the episode, I thought they characterized Daniel pretty well in there. I also like the fracturing of the group, it seemed organic and made sense.
The whole place managed to go up in flames quicker than Monroe
I heard a theory suggesting our group will turn bad seems plausible now
.
Would you look at that, Talking Dead's In Memoriam segment didn't include Daniel, suspiciously similar to how they didn't include a certain someone in the first half Season 6... a certain dumpster diver... I don't know why I'm not-so-subtly hinting at who it is, but I'm going to keep doing it...
I'm thinking the reports of his death have been greatly exaggerated
Are they gonna get scattered? Uh oh, I hope 2B doesn't end up feeling like TWD's 4B. Also, I think neither Daniel, Travis nor Chris are dead. I'm not sure about Celia. Rule number 1 about TWD is: No corpse, no death. Also, for a moment I thought Griselda was gonna chomp on Daniel before he set the place on fire. I think Strand, Madison and the others won't sail away with the Abigail, but they'll probably just wander around Baja to try to find the others.
P.S: I'm looking forward to Alex and Tobias's return someday.
I think he had been running barefoot all night looking for Chris.
He found a dumpster
Man, the actor who plays Daniel did a really god job in this episode! Overall I thought it was pretty god, but weaker than the previous few episodes. Judging from the promo the next episode is gonna be crazy.
I really like the idea that this may not be the apocalypse. I don't agree or anything but it's nice to see a new perspective.
It's funny how just like season 2 of TWD, they somewhat split up here to (more in the comics though).
I like that both sons are going through a mid-life crisis, and I like how both the parents had a different approach to helping them.
Also, cmon I know Daniel isn't dead. If he can survive that long without eating pozole, he can survive a house fire. Glad to see Strand isn't going anywhere, that'll keep Madison and the group interesting.
Now it's the waiting game. Hopefully the whole "no corpse, no death" thing still rings true because we need Daniel
Edit: This may be a stretch for some of you guys, but I'm starting to like this show a bit more than The Walking Dead. Still gotta grow into Madisen but everyone else I really like.
Even Chris.
Daniel got lucky REAL lucky
Fantastic episode. Really enjoying this show.
I think it'd be ridiculous if Daniel survived that situation.
Why do we need Daniel anyway? This might give Ophelia some development finally, his arc came to a satisfying end, not to mention the fact that a main cast member hasn't died since season 1 until now..
I don't think characters have to be highly emotive all the time to be good. Her stoicism is a facet of her characterisation.
Many people are unemotional outwardly, I don't think having someone like that on the show is so bad.
And it only took roughly thirty-fourty minutes of gameplay between the two episodes for that to happen.
Next thing we'll have a visual novel that introduces a bunch of main characters blowing up a community for shits and giggles.
I just love him so much and I don't want him to go. It would be good for Ophelia, and I really want her to be developed already. But I just love Daniel.
I bet Celia is not dead and am I only only one who like her?!
yeah he was cool. But if you think about it he ended on his terms, in a way he wanted to go out. So if you really loved him then you'd kind of let him go? As staying alive would likely just cause more pain for him.
