I have no idea really. Maybe there were a few signs somewhere once you got further north? It definitely wasn't by word of mouth. If it was, you would think that people that got rejected spread the news. If that was true though, Kenny wouldn't have been shocked by the lack of room. Basically, I have no clue and all I did was type a paragraph of why I don't know. Such a great answer.
Well I think Kenny's shock for lack of room was because he heard everyone saying how great and safe it was, just to find out that they are now not letting people in.
I guess. I just kept thinking that the people that got in stayed in. Unless they were out scavenging or something, and then they ran across other people that they mentioned Wellington to. I feel like the only way it would really spread by word of mouth was if people weren't accepted in. But if they weren't accepted and there were limited spots, I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't share that information for two reasons: In this world, I wouldn't exactly walk up to someone and talk to them because of past experiences. Also, I'm sure a lot of people would like to keep news of a safe but almost full society to themselves. More people coming to the gates would equal a smaller chance of them getting in. I just also couldn't see Kenny reading a sign for Wellington and actually believing the information he was reading. I don't even know if I'm over thinking or under thinking things at this point.
I guess I'm saying I people were rejected and they passed on the news of Wellington (which I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't) why wouldn't they mention it was full?
Probably the old fashion way, the way word used to get around before the internet, and before the telephones were ever invented. People actually talked to each other, and told others what they saw.
I can't tell. Telltale obviously made a lot of unsolved situations in Season 2.
Everyone's heard of the Shangri-la. I imagine Wellington did a bunch of recruiting before they got filled up.
Word of mouth. They had to run into people in the 6-8 months they skipped and not all of them would be hostile.
As other folks have mentioned, word of mouth.
The same way people from different regions communicated with each other before there was modern mail and cell phones, etc. A lot of people in zombieland are normadic. Rumors spread evetually. It seems like Wellington turned lots of people away prior to Kenny and Clem.
Broadcasts?
I would imagine besides word of mouth (people leaving Wellington, tell others about it, a la Magna), there might be radio broadcasts.
Off-topic, I know, but I am sure they were in the same community that Stephanie talks about. It has to be. Everything lines up!
