Found this neat new article about Episode 1. Here are some excerpts:
"We put a lot of energy into doing a lot of upgrades to the tech and the engine", Bruner said when discussing the improved visual style of the game. "All the lighting's in real time now and higher resolution models and the surfacing of everything and the materials are all upgraded - it's the best looking thing we've ever done". The gameplay has also been improved too. "We've tried to upgrade the QTEs and the combat sequences as well, so they're all choreographed in a new way", being choreographed by a stunt group specifically for the game. Telltale have also "layered in a lot of innovations into the QTEs" and there is a new system whereby the player earn finishing moves by filling up a meter in fights, getting to use them later on in specific situations.
A key addition to the game is "a whole new mechanic for the detective side", Bruner drawing attention to the fact that "Batman is the world's greatest detective". Included in the game then are "new ways of collecting evidence and making conclusion about what's happened in a particular scene" when walking around, and this can be done as either Bruce Wayne or Batman. Also added to the game are dialogue options that split into three ways as opposed to two binaries. "Here we have places where we add third options every now and then, just to make the story branch more and kind of give more variety".

Man, I am happy Telltale is FINALLY realizing how pissed fans get with waiting. Monthly episodes are for the best be it Walking Dead, Batman, or Minecraft.
As a minor update for "all episodes aiming to be out by the end of the year," Job is hinting that they might release Episode 5 a few weeks i… morento January if they cannot reach a December release for that particular episode, but the rest of the episodes are still due by the end of the year. There is still a chance that Episode 5 could release in December, so we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, I'm super stoked that Telltale are finally going back to monthly releases. Once people see that it can actually work well (just as history shows that they made it work for older titles), I think that will get rid of a lot of the skepticism and concern from people who only pay attention to Telltale's history from Walking Dead Season 1 onward and think it can't be done.

Well, well, well Telltale... You're pulling out all the stops this time (and improving on them in many ways)..
earn finishing moves by filling up a meter in fights, getting to use them later on in specific situations
Interesting, kind of like how if you had certain items in TFTB, (like Dumpy) you could use it at certain points throughout the game. I like it!
the fact that "Batman is the world's greatest detective". Included in the game then are "new ways of collecting evidence and making conclusion about what's happened in a particular scene"
I'm sure we can expect a really cool stylized recreation of the crime? (But not with all that Arkham Techno stuff?)
Also added to the game are dialogue options that split into three ways as opposed to two binaries. "Here we have places where we add third options every now and then, just to make the story branch more and kind of give more variety.
Not sure what they mean by that one... I guess three paths in a scene instead of the usual 2? (Old: Go to X, Go to Y .... New: Go to X, Go to Y, None of the above?)

I think more like Go to X, Go to Y, Go to Z
Or more "gray" choices rather than black and white.

To add on to InGen's example, you could think of Episode 3 of Wolf where you have three locations and get to choose the order you visit them in, with the story being tailored for different combinations of choices.

I think Minecraft has gotten monthly releases(almost), but unsure if Microsoft is paying them more to do so or if it's to go back to the old formula before Walking Dead. It's a silly joke I hear on how MS is paying TTG to rush the episodes out of Minecraft.

They confirmed they will be releasing a Season Pass disc, where Episode 1 is included on disc and Episodes 2-5 are free downloads included with the purchase of the disc if you have an internet connection.
I am really excited to play as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I think my version of Bruce will be much kinder and less playboy like, although he will still be very protective of his identity as Batman. As Batman I will play him as a ruthless and fearless vilgilant, but he won't use lethal force.
Similarly to Playing Dead, Telltale is going to make a talk show for Batman and they are shooting the first episode this Friday.

Well, those episodes will come out on the same day as each episode, I think (right? I never really watched the old "Playing Dead"s of TWD.) so you won't need to worry about that, you'll already be playing it!

8th. Got it? I was too lazy of a butt to look it up.
So, Batman's here soon, eh?
wat?
SOONer than you thinking
i meant actual soon, not telltale soon
Around 1-2 month to release - It's still SOON ^.^
Yo if you see a news story saying this game is delayed, don't click on it it's clickbait.
If anyone sees a news article saying this game has been delayed, don't click on it it's clickbait lol

Job played a nearly finished build of the first episode of Batman today!
Weird, there was nothing on his twitter.

Soon as in August or September perhaps.
Oh wow, that sounds awesome!
Will there be a disc
Short answer; Yes.
Long answer; Yeah.

Still waiting...damn, days need to pass faster
I thought they already pass faster. I thought my 10 grade would pass slowly but it actually passed faster
I agree, past few weeks passes in a blink of an eye, especially whole month of June.

Will they show the gameplay? If yes, i aint watchin it to get spoiled
I'm going to try and play the episode before watching it - since it's what I usually do with the exception of Game of Thrones and Life Is strange xD
And Greg Miller is the host...
