A small, interesting thing I found - From Telltale's relationship working with WB, Warner Brothers Interactive is helping Telltale bring Walking Dead: Season 3 to retail in addition to Batman.

No: The crowd play takes place 1 week before August. Not three, two or one day, but 10 days before it could conceivably release. I can't wait that long to get my Batman, knowing the episode is done, people have seen it... Graa!

BATMAN – The Telltale Series will be making its worldwide debut as a digital download with its first episode in Augu… morest on consoles, PC/Mac, and iOS or Android based devices. The series will be available to purchase at retailers starting September 13th in North America as a special Season Pass Disc, which will include the first of five episodes in the season, and will grant access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates. The series will then be available to purchase at retailers across Europe on September 16th.
When exactly in August will the game premiere digitally? Stay tuned for next week, when the world premiere trailer debuts alongside the digital release date!
For those heading to San Diego Comic Con next week, we have an extra surprise. On the night of Saturday, July 23rd, you can be among the VERY FIRST to experience the premiere episode of BATMAN - … [view original content]
This is my first time buying a TT game at launch--I'm wondering if I should get it on Steam or download off this site. My past experience with Steam has been kinda ropey (GoT episodes wouldn't get released til hours after everyone else had them). Has anyone else got stuff direct from TT before, and if so would you say it's better than Steam?
Well, this episode premiere-to-release delay would make sense, as it's a bit like movies. Some movies get shown at a film festival at least two months before they release to theatres.
If you buy the Season Pass on PC, it includes all five episodes. If you buy the Season Pass DLC on Consoles or mobile, it contains all the episodes in the main Season after Episode 1. Sometimes, I think they take off the cost of one episode on the Season Pass, but I do not frequently play Telltale's games on console/mobile (I play on Steam/PC instead) so you might want to ask another user with more experience on that instead.
The Season Pass disc comes out later after Episode 1. Episode 1 was confirmed for an August release, but they are releasing the disc further on down the road.

I'm not the best person to answer this, but I can say that the first two series TTG launched on Steam actually came out on Steam hours before being released on the site. I haven't been around for the more recent launches, so if someone could chime in on that, it would be nice.

Ok, you've got me there. But it'll be fine if you resist the urge to look up details, or spoilers of it while waiting... Avoid contact with those who've seen the livestream or were at SDCC, and you can retain yur sanity
I'm not entirely sure but I know that where I live the PS4 prices for episodes are a bit higher than the PS3 ones, that includes the Season Pass - which is usually only the cost of 4 episodes, with the exception of Game of Thrones which costs 5 episodes for 6.
I think I'll have a little TTG marathon before Batman Episode One releases maybe start watching Gotham too to get me into the mood. Will definitely be seeing Suicide Squad next month.
I hope Suicide Squad restores my faith in DC Extended Universe. I am actually looking forward to see Ben Affleck Batman again. Hopefully he is more in line with his comic self in this movie. Although I wonder if Batman's segment takes place before or after BvS.

Does DC have a timeline for their movies? I don't know where Suicide Squad fits in, the only thing I'm sure of is that BvS is between the Justice League film and Man of Steel.

The flashback sequences will no doubt take place before Man of Steel. The present story might take place during BvS or just shortly after.
Or it could even take place before BvS, considering how they mention Superman in the trailer and that could mean that Superman was still alive during Suicide Squad.

I saw the tweet. It was unrelated to anything Telltale and just a personal screencap he took. I dunno why he deleted it, but it wasn't anything you guys would have been interested in anyways.

That's nice. "Thanks" a lot Skybound
Yes: I am loving that logo.

How much will it cost?
Yo, what? I've bought season passes in the past for $15.
Except for Game of Thrones and Michonne, which didn't have 5 episodes.
Those were probably discounted.
By using a font so similar to the Mask of the Phantasm/alternate TAS font, they're setting the bar pretty damn high. You're under the gun, Telltales.

How much do you think they'll (the episodes) cost on PS4? And the Season Pass as well.
Is there a difference?

Episodes are usually five dollars on their own.

Soooooo there is a retweet on the TTG page from Gamestop that says that the game is coming out on 9/13.... that is a bit later than I expected.
The Season Pass disc comes out later after Episode 1. Episode 1 was confirmed for an August release, but they are releasing the disc further on down the road.
But movies at film festivals don't get live streamed to the public where people can spoil the episode to literally anyone because they're a dick.
Ohhhh I gotcha, thanks for clearing that up

Steam has been the better option ever since Tales ended. episodes have released at least an hour or two later on the Telltale store compared to Steam.
Phew...just a few days more
Thats retail version

Who all think that episode 2 would release on September 13, alongside the retail disk?
Hmm, could be.
They'd be making a combination of the hype for Episode 2 AND the retail disk.

Did anyone see the tweet job deleted? I'm assuming it was about Batman.
Did you screencap it?
I tried typing the link in myself but it just keeps loading forever.

I typed it, and it loaded. But...
Aaaaaaaaaaand it's gone.
At least we know that it was a picture. Unless I did something wrong.

Am I the only who is waiting for Carmine Falcone to say something more than the game itself? Because......Richard McGonagle.

"The hype rises..."
Welp, I guess that explains why we got the Minecraft Ep 7 trailer today and not tomorrow. :P
Ready....
