Winston, Carver, and Troy. Anyone who intestinally hurts Clementine is a dead man.

  • I wouldn't say he had little personality because there's clearly a little more to him than being Mr. Funny Upbeat Guy. The problem is he didn't really have a real character arc and thus, didn't really get as much development or screentime as he could have that didn't require you to seek him out.

Yeah, probably. He was just one of those characters I couldn't bring myself to invest in or find even remotely interesting, which for me, is usually what contributes to whether or not I'll like the character.

I actually did a topic fairly recently about characters that don't quite enrage you like the story says they should. Feel free to check it out, as well as contribute to it and its predecessor, which arguably fits your opinions of Omid and Bonnie( assuming you're refering to 400 Days)!

I checked it out and left a comment applauding you for your great analysis of the rivalry between Kenny and Jane, although I might also leave a comment in a little more depth about Omid. Oh, and I'll be sure to check out your second thread as well.

In season one? Probably the St Johns. In season two, Carver. If we're talking actual members of the group rather than clear antagonist

  • Well clearly not, that was just me venting out my frustrations? I thought that was pretty obvious.

    Also

Carley was at least a good shot, potentially saving Lee's life.

Katjaa was the "medic" and also did take care of Kenny's gunshot wound.

    For Arvo

    "Is worse than Ben"

Literally whilst Ben at least had reasons for why he normally messed up, Arvo wasn't smart, contributed seemingly nothing to his group other than "I am Russian and I can translate." Also whilst he seems to not want conflict to escalate...he escalates it, he's the one who brings the Russians on top of Clementine's group, and he straight up shoots Clementine for a dumb reason (I blame writers for this). Ben never actually went out to actually hurt somebody on purpose.

    "Is an idiot."

Look at him. He's an awful survivor, he doesn't know how to shoot, doesn't provide any support to his own group, not even his "sister" or anyone else, and we still have no idea what he was doing with his supplies.

"I'm glad Kenny beat him to a pulp."

    Well I am glad.

Complains about not having food despite the fact that he does NOTHING FOR THE GROUP OTHER THAN PATCH UP A FENCE - WOW - TOUGH JOB TERRIBLE G

  • I don't ''hate'' a character, I hate their way to act.

  • i hate clementine! more than any other character from both seasons, i hate the fact that she is still living and Lee and Omid are rotting corpses, i hate the fact that she got away with it! they deserved better than dying by someone else's negligence!

  • How did you get through S2 having to play as her?

  • I hate Kenny and Jane the most, because Jane annoyed me from the beggining with "Jaimie, I've seen this before, my sister Jaimie, Jaimie this Jaimie that, I've seen things like this before"... and Kenny... I really liked him in season 1, he was a funny guy, but in season 2.. man.. Of course I didn't mean to offend anyone who loves them, that's just my thoughts :)

  • it was terrible! i regret it!

same with Larry, angry ticking bomb ready to blast on Lee,
Troy, a worst kind of person

  • It was an unused idea for his character. So technichally he didn't.

    I still hate him though

  • What does that have to do with the thread?

  • If you have an issue with a Mod talk to one in a PM. Remember Rule 1 of the guidelines.

  • Ok, I do remember reading that now. As someone who actually kinda likes the grumpy asshole, I was hoping he didn't lose one of his positive traits in the game proper.

Though, you could argue that he is verbally/emotionally abusive in that he clearly doesn't calm down when she tells him to. She's obviously worried about his heart and he's too busy being pissed off, as if he doesn't do that enough. lol

It was an unused idea for his character. So technichally he didn't. I still hate him though

  • Yeah, as much as I didn't like him, being a devoted father was probably his most redeeming quality, so I'm glad they didn't put that in.

Kenny for being such a self-righteous hypocritical asshole (TTG's games are full of characters who are more than willing to blame the protagonist/s for their problems and refuse to take responsibility for their own actions, but, together with Gren and Beauty and Beast from TWAU, Kenny is probably the worst of them all. The fact that he goes on and on about making hard decisions and doing what needs to be done even if it means sacrificing people you care about, and then starts throwing blame around/lashes out violently or starts wallowing in self-pity/breaks down completely the second someone makes a decision he doesn't agree with or someone HE cares about gets hurt/is sacrificed for the good of the group... pathetic).
Sarah for being completely useless. Carlos for coddling Sarah, making her completely useless. Bonnie and Ben for being spineless wastes of space...

I almost wish I could have sided with Carver. If he hadn't been so ridiculously possessive and vindictive, he would have been my favorite S2 character.

  • Larry, hands down. God, I had a huge smile on my face when I sided with Kenny to smash that bastard' s face.

  • Actually, he was still abusive. One of telltale's staff mentioned it in an interview after the first season finished.

Hate is too strong of a word. Dislike or annoyance maybe.
    Season 1
-Larry (He was an asshole but I still tried to save his life)
-Kenny (He was an OK guy at first, then the whole Lilly/Kenny situation, his hypocrisy about what "needed to be done", his constant whining to find a boat, I decided to go my own way with Clem after helping them to find fuel and a battery for the boat)
-Vernon (For stealing the boat and wanting to take Clementine with him)
    - Brie (Don't know why I never liked this character even when I didn't lie or threaten them)
    - Danny St John (That guy gave me the creep, I kinda pity Brenda aside the whole cannibalism thing and Andy was an antagonist but I didn't dislike him as much as his brother)

    400 Days

    • Justin (Like with Brie, I never liked that guy)
    • That trigger-happy guy in Vince story, don't remember his name unfortunately
    • Dee (She was an asshole to me and love triangle, that is all.)

    Season 2

    • Kenny (Became worst than season 1, beating Arvo, Wellington =boat)
    • Jane (Like Kenny she sees Clementine as a replacement for her lost family, didn't like her manipulating me into thinking Kenny was loosing it because I already knew it. Decided to choose my own path after leaving her.)
-Carlos (Despite being a doctor, he hasn't been pretty useful and didn't like him overprotecting Sarah from the outside world which indirectly caused her death. She had so much potential)
  • Yeah, so Telltale kinda fucked me up with S2 endings :/

  • Exactly.

    I disagree with this much.

If by support, you mean gun cover, then duh because that's the reason he came after Clementine's group in the first place. However, if you meant support as in help/assistance, then you couldn't be more wrong. It is very apparent even without translation that Arvo acts as an emissary for his group due to his ability to speak english and his nature allowing him to be convinced to follow someone else's orders. He seemed to actually be hiding the supplies for his sister, who is implied to have sickle cell anemia, acts as a decoy to track down and approach the Howe's Ski Cabin group so his group could surround them unnoticed, and he straight up admits that Buricko is the one giving him the orders . And when things start getting tense, he not only tries to keep the Cabin group docile despite Luke having a gun on him, but he outright argues with Buricko and Vitali when they refuse to back down after learning about the baby. And, of course, he spends most of the gunfight trying to keep Natasha alive and eventually forms a vendetta against Kenny and Clementine when they interfere and 'kill' his sister, respectively.

While you're right that we never learn exactly what he was doing with his supplies(though I inferred that he was stashing them away for either emergency or conquest purposes), he definitely seemed to want to protect them. He just found a poor hiding spot and got unlucky.

  • The fact that the medicine in the bag consisted of painkillers, the diagnosis of the symptoms he describes, and the paleness of her skin all match up:
"Take whatever you want, but don't take the medicine. It's for my sister. It's for my older sister. She is sick and the pain makes her cry, and that makes those things come. "

Also, unused dialogue apparently flat out says she has it and her unused english voice gives off the impression that she is straining through the pain to yell at everyone when things start getting tense.

  • I think what I was getting at is and something I should have made clear is that it would be nice to see more positive threads than those such as "who do you hate the most". Of course the OP made this and it is what it is

I have mixed opinions on a lot of people, but two especially that I didn't like towards the end is Mike & Bonnie... They were really nice at the start and cared for Clem throughout, but what really rattled my boat was when they were leaving me, Jane & Kenny taking ALL of our supplies leaving us with nothing, even taking the car that Kenny got working himself... I know Arvo is an asshole, but he was never nice to Clem so left him out of this "rant"... I've never met two as traitorous little bastards ever apart from them.
