Shipping in the Walking Dead
Okay, so while preparing to conceptualize my next project, I decided to do a smaller scale discussion that everyone could chip into and contribute their own entries(unlike my last two threads--HEY-YO!). So, let's talk about a topic that is universal, not to mention dangerous, to any fanbase: Shipping. This is fandom talk for rooting for your characters of choice to form a romantic relationship. While I wouldn't really describe myself as a shipper, I have viewed many different characters as potentially liking each other several times from a young age. With a world so full of death and...undeath as the Walking Dead Universe, there are bound to be some character interactions that makes the viewer/player raise a hopeful eyebrow. So, since the most recent thread on the topic has been closed due to age, I think I'll take it upon myself to create a new one in its stead. So, TTG Forum Members, I got a question for ya: What is/are your OTP(s)?
Note: If you are unfamiliar with TV Tropes, then you are probably gonna be confused…so I went ahead and added a few examples with explanations! Feel free to use these terms...or don't! I don't care, its your time to shine! So shine on you crazy Diamonds. Get weird!
Shipping Tropes
• Anchored Ship Where the characters can’t commit for personal reasons
• Angel/Devil Shipping When the two characters are distinctly good and evil comparatively
• Birds of a Feather
• Crack Pairing When the characters don’t really make sense to be randomly paired together.
• Cargo Ship When a character is in love with something that is inanimate.
• Crossover Ship
• Dry Docked Ship When the characters may have been a thing in the past.
• Foe Yay Shipping When characters who are at odds each other might have chemistry.
• Ghost Shipping When one of the characters might be dead. Lol
• Ho/Les Yay When the characters are of the same gender.
• Incest Yay Shipping When the characters are supposed to be related.
• Mentor Ship When one character is the other’s pupil.
• Mind Game Ship When the characters relationship comes off as manipulation on one’s part.
• Minionshipping When the characters are a villain’s henchman and an allied villain/henchman.
• No Yay When the two characters romance with conventionally uncomfortable baggage.
• Official Couple
• One True Pairing (usually abbreviated OTP)
• One True Threesome (usually abbreviated OT3)
• Opposites Attract
• Shipper on Deck When one character approvingly encourages a relationship between other characters.
• Shipping Torpedo When one character disapprovingly discourages a relationship between other characters.

• Toy Ship When the characters are considered a bit young to be in a relationship.

• War Ship When the characters are supposed to be on opposite sides of a conflict.

Ben wanted to "totally bone" Lilly. Carley tried to talk him out of it once but also had his back.
I can't start shipping now, it ruins people's lives. (kidding)
Seriously though, I don't see the point on shipping, so yeah, guess I'm outta this one.
Personally, I don't ship. If there is a romance in game, then I pretty much just have my thoughts on that. I either like what's there or I don't. I never ship people that aren't together.
I did like Carley and Lee together. I don't know why, but I thought Kenny and Katjaa were perfect. I didn't really care too much in either direction for other in game relationships. They were just...there.
I guess my OTP would be Kenny and boat. Or Larry and Lee. Those pairs are what dreams are made of.

Actually, this is probably a good chance to ask: do you think Paige's crush on Sam should've been blatant?
I myself ship Lee with Lilly/Carley, Eddie to Wyatt (or at the very least, I'm pretty sure he's bi), and Paige with Sam, but not the other way around. I wish I had an opinion on the Rebecca and Walter ships. I do not like Jane/Luke or Sarita/Kenny at all, horrible fits.

And if Lee decides to shoot her in self-defense, Danny somewhat sadly insists that, "You could've just taken her down. You didn't have to kill her. I mean, I know she was crazy but...damn!"
