I heard Telltale didn't like Sarah and didn't care about her death. I always felt bad for Sarah because she was clearly broken. When she said that during my second playthrough, I felt guilty as hell.

While I didn't laugh at Sarah's death, I'd be lying if I said I cared for her character and was saddened by her death. I found her to be incredibly annoying and was definitely a liability, but I'm interested to know why you liked her character?

Fair enough. I disagree with the potential part, as I felt no matter what happened, Sarah would never been able to adapt to the life of a survivor and would always be a liability, but hey, to each his own.

True. Whilst there were aspects of the season I enjoyed, overall the writing just wasn't comparable to season 1. I mean it's like Telltale couldn't be arsed to engage in the new characters they created, just killing them off before they even made any impact in the story. It was disappointing to say the least, and I'm really hoping Season 3 will be better.

The thing is and i hope i am wrong but unless they bring back all those elements of season 1 then I don't see season 3 being an improvement. It's like they made so much effort with season 1 with all the hubs, character conversations, once examining an item etc then talking back with a character a new dialogue option comes up, the optional puzzles like fixing the swing or finding batteries for Carley's radio. All this is what I loved getting involved with in the first game

That is exactly what Season 2 lacked the most. They brought them back in TFTBL, GOT, MCSM and TWDM though.

It was the saddest line, did you listen to how he said it....it spoke of horrors that he had encountered and guilt that was left unspoken. When he said that, he was not saying he was lucky...to him it was a continuation of hell.
Come on man! We get you hate him but give a proper response to a saddest line of dialogue and not a jokey one because you hate the character so much. It's just going to cause arguments.

When you choose "Stop thinking about yourself" during the scene with Kenny in the train
"Stop thinking about yourself, man. You feel guilty; like you killed any chance of a miracle for Duck when you ran away from Shawn Greene. Well, there's no room for that shit. This isn't about you! It's about a woman back there who needs her husband, and a boy who needs his dad!"
That is a line where no matter how many times I hear it, it still gets to me.
What makes it even more powerful is Kenny's reaction to it. He has this super sad look of realization when Lee says it.
Oh, and a line I rather liked from the Michonne miniseries:
"It snowed the day my wife died. Her heart gave out. Sam found her. She... she passed in her sleep. We buried her so the boys wouldn't have to see her like that. The snow... it covered her grave. Erased it, like she'd never been there at all."
Ive not actually played those others you mentioned except for Game of thrones and if i'm honest, although a very slight improvement, i still didn't find the hubs to be that much improved not to the standard of season 1 TWD anyway. I also liked how hubs never or rarely disappeared in S1 but they annoyingly always did in S2 for example, after talking with a character, you can't speak to them again

Its funny because I thought Sarah could be one of those characters that could make it towards the end and Clementine being a big influence on her. Nope, she can die pretty damn easily TWICE.
I heard Telltale didn't like Sarah and didn't care about her death. I always felt bad for Sarah because she was clearly broken. When she said that during my second playthrough, I felt guilty as hell.
When, if you save Sarah, she can say "I could never be that good of a friend."
Maybe, maybe not, but she TRIED. Ben tried, Lilly tried, Christa, people from every episode of the Walking Dead game have tried, and chances are, if someone isn't a fan of a given character, they're heaping tons of shit onto them for trying to be a decent person and coming out worse for it.
For me this would be the scene where Ben falls down from the balcony.
And when he says he is okay and only hurt his leg.
And next we as players find out he actually fell on a piece of metal.
I felt so bad for him, I really needed to pause the game the first time I played S1.
Because his dialouge and the whole scene, really made me feel sad.
"You'll meet people. Good people. People better than me! People that don't have to look at you and feel ashamed at what they put you through." - Kenny to Clementine at the gates of Wellington.
(Can we have just one calm night) clem to the group in ep 5 how awful that they cant even have one night they dosent talk about surviveing thing just talk about some stuff make the person happy maybe we cant feel that until the time we fined our self like this a people in the a live all what they thinking about is the survive and the all ugly stuff we did and we need to do to survive
"Clem, it's time to go. You gotta get out of here."
"You - You can come with me!"
"No honey, I can't... It's okay."
"Please" - After you tell Clementine to leave Lee.
Or maybe:
"Don't go." - Last words Clementine says to Lee if you tell her to leave.
Any dialogue between Lee and Clementine when you choose "Leave Me" makes me tear up every time. The delivery of the line "Don't go" feels so authentic, and it makes me feel really guilty because I know what's coming.
Sorry if the first quote was a little long ^^
All these posts are making me evaluate my opinions...
I think it was the last episode of season 2, but that scene where Clementine has a flashback with Lee really got me. It really hit me how important he was to her and everyone else and how he was never coming back.
I think the last words from Kenny if you choose to shoot him are unbearably sad. I can't remember exactly as I only got that by watching other people's playthroughs but it's where he talks about wanting to die for the longest time after losing everyone he loved, but now that he's actually dying, he's really scared.

In season 1 - When you are talking to Clem about Ben (if you leave him behind). Lee explains how Ben wanted everyone to leave him because Ben knew the others were in danger if they stayed to help him. He asks if she understands and I think she says something like:
"I understand. He thought about other people before himself. My mom always used to tell me that's what makes a good person"
It's not the saddest thing, but for some reason it makes me feel sad lol. Maybe it's just the way she says it, or because it makes you feel bad if you left Ben behind.
"Keep that hair short."
"I'll miss you..."
"Me too..."
"I wish Lee was here...."
"What can I tell you to make it better?"
"Th… moreat you won't leave me."
"Oh, I wouldn't do that. I promise."
You're going to see Katjaa and Duck, you're going to see them again.."
"You're always good for a smile..."
"They don't have to look at you, and feel ashamed at what they put you through..."
In a playthrough where Clem doesn't shoot Kenny:
"Clem... [struggles] help!" -Jane
Pretty heartbreaking seeing a person you counted on leaving you to die or looking away while you're murdered.

Man, Sean Vanaman leaving is probably the biggest mistake he has done. Creating this survivors and leaving them behind to get a lazy development.
That's what I think it is. That's not the Clementine I know, leaving her friends to die, apocalypse or NOT..
Anyone that laughed at her dying is a heartless bitch. Nuff said.

Because I can really relate to her.
We both have some kind of disability, we both care about people, and most importantly, she had POTENTIAL.
Fair enough. I disagree with the potential part, as I felt no matter what happened, Sarah would never been able to adapt to the life of a survivor and would always be a liability, but hey, to each his own.
Indeed
It was just a shame that a lot of fhe writing in season 2 was bad. I'm so glad we'll always have season 1 to enjoy

Well, they have been working on it since July 2014. So it really must be.

(after they believe Katjaa has shot Duck)
Lee: "It had to be done."
Clem: "Okay..."
Lee: "There was no other choice."
Clem: "...Okay."
I well up a little every time I hear Clementine's delivery of that one word. So sad and defeated.
That... is actually a very interesting way of looking at that line, now that I think of it. Even if you're not being serious.

If Kenny is shot and says "we almost made it Clem, we were close, werent we?"
My parents it's so horrible and now you please please don't be one of them please don't become a walker

Yes! Gavin killed it with that dialogue!

Well she did tell Clem to stay out of it
And then she asked Clem for help but she let her get murdered. Apparently, the only statement that matters is the first one? Huh.
True but, without trying to turn this into some kind of Kenny v Jane type thing:
Jane hides baby, pretends baby is dead to fight Kenny, tells Clem to not get involved, then wants Clem to save her after her plan to kill Kenny fails.
