The Ben example, I agree with since it's possible to try to save him and fail. The Bonnie one, not so much, because it's more like she only dies if you actively tried to not save Luke.
I believe that there already is a mechanic like that, it just isn't used very often. Like, if you don't shoot the zombie that is holding Ben… more in the bell tower in S1, the game treats you as if you dropped him. In S2, if you don't break the ice fast enough when you cover Luke, Bonnie dies. Though these are kinda not QTE, they are things that if you don't do in a certain amount of time you have something in the story change?
This sounds like a plausible idea, and a neat one, too. I like the fact that only a small percentage of players would have their own playthrough with a certain condition—more or less supplies, good or bad relationship with a character, or even whether a character is alive, unknown, dead or undead.
OH I GOT THIS AMAZING IDEA! (ok not that amazing but still good)
"secret" options and secuences depending in puzzles in the huds and chai… morens of options.
Let me explain myself:
You're in this hud, let's say, an abandoned house. A random character is trying to open a locked chest. If you find a key, that is in a drawer, behind a locked door that you will only be able to unlock if, before, in the previous episode, when someone offered you one of two different weapons, a knife and a hammer, you chose the second one. You will use the hammer to break the lock (if you chose the knife, the paylable character will say something like "I wish I had a hammer..."), you will find the key in the drawer and use it to open the locked chest. In the chest, there will be either some ammo, one or two weapons or food. You can either keep the ammo/weapons/food, let the group decide or give it some or all to another random character. Who knows, maybe those people will end up liking Javier or Clementine more than they thought they would if they had to play them side by side? Who knows
What about getting a choice between the 2 characters for each scene instead of being forced to play one then another ?
Or getting a choice … moresay after chapter one to play one or the other, while the second character become a NPC for the rest of the story (would be even better if they have partly conflicting goals and can't completely trust each other).
Would certainly please both people wanting the game to be a new Clem adventure and those wanting an adult protagonist, more than playing half the scenes with a character they weren't wanting to play.
It may sound like a silly thing to ask but I would love it if they kept Season 2's menu style. Every episode was unique in it's own way. The… morey all had different colors, slides, background music, options menu image, post episode image and post episode music which was neat!

There's also a bug that allows to exchange the colors between episodes. You can make the river from All That Remains purple, blue or pink. Or the statue from Amid The Ruins yellow.
It's not an huge feature but I really liked it.
I'd like for the return of special statistics please, I liked seeing all the choices I made in favor of or against all the characters I encountered in The Walking Dead Game and The Wolf Among Us, it kind of reaffirmed me that my decisions had some effect on different individuals.
More side quests, what I loved about the first The Walking Dead Game was how I had choice over smaller stuff or could even ignore it and sometimes that would actually effect the story later on. Things like finding the candy bars and being bale to give them to different characters in episode 1, having the option to fix the swing in episode 2, if Carley was saved - getting the chance to tell everyone Lee's secret in episode 3(Which was a nice choices have an effect moment imo) etc.
In addition to this, the seamless feeling of the first Season that made things feel like they were logical and characters actually saw you differently based on your decisions.
Finally, something new I'd like to see is perhaps a Journal that contains character information and even a choice & consequence page? Similar to Until Dawn. As the game progresses we could learn new things about characters and that information would be permanently available in the journal and would change as the story goes on similar to the Codex Pages in Game of Thrones.
Music like this or this during the normal secuences in important moments of the episode (sad moments, intense moments, rage moments, the-bad-guys-killed-a-fan-favourite-and-me-and-two-folks-are-getting-ready-to-infiltrate-in-the-bad-guy's-forteress-to-cause-a-surprise-attack-even-when-our-leader-told-us-not-to-do-it-so-the-rest-of-or-group-can-attack-later-and-save-our-asses-in-the-last-moment moments...)
I don't care if its graphics are good or bad, I hope they make more gameplay like twd s1. In twd season two we found less gameplay ( example episode 4 and 5). but in twd s2 we found cinematic moment mostly instead of gameplay like walking around, solving things. Example twd s1 start the train engine etc.
I seriously need to know how we'll be able to pass our choices to different platforms! My computer died recently so I'll most definitely be playing on mobile. Which leads me to...
Get you shit together TellTale. Mobile users do not deserve to have to wait two days until the episode is properly released. If you give a release date make sure that the episode is released at that date, not 3 days after!
I also hope that the mobile version of the new engine gets properly tested, so that the crap that happened with Batman doesn't happen again. I mean seriously, how did QA let pass that episode? Made choice x? Consequences of choice y happen! Jfc...
Technical features apart, I'd like if TellTale started introducing child zombies. I don't know what's the deal but every The Walking Dead media lacks any type of zombie children. Be it the comics, the show, Fear and even the game (that at least had Fivel). We're in a post apocalyptic setting, children died just as the adults did, it's brutal, but it's realistic.
Clem being treated as a kid, but in a way it annoyes her.
Random Guy: Ok, so here's the gun shop points at a random point in a map. We should be able to break through walkers with our waepon. Random Girl: Yeah, I like it. Javier: Yeah, what could go wrong? Clementine walks in Clementine: So... what's the plan? Javier: Uh? Nothing, Clem. Just go to sleep. Clementine: Do you guys really think that after four years of this shit no one took the guns? Random Girl: Do you have a better idea? Go to sleep, Clem. Adults are talking. Clementine: If we start a fire in this building points at random building in the map, Walkers would go there, and de would have the suroundings of the gun shop free... Random Guy: Yeah, Clem. Whatever. Just go to sleep. (?) Clem is really, REALLY pissed off
tbh i'm the only one who doesn't want to see the same characters from S2 ..it would be too old school, it was great when they brought back Kenny tho, but i just want to bury the hatchet and say that Kenny,Lilly, Molly, and Christa are dead (or at least 2/4 ig Ken could stay??? depending on your choices) and meet some new characters. We're talking about new graphics, scenes, story, etc anyone from the pasts two seasons would be too gimmicky (unless Glenn pops up that would be cool)
Clem being treated as a kid, but in a way it annoys her AND players! No, i think Javier and Clem will be team leaders and both of them will look to each other as equals, which means exploring and exciting gameplay and lesser dialogue play like s1/s2 was all dialogue but tt will step their game up, right?

We won't see him before it happens because we've already long passed his death at this point in Season 3 since it's chronologically closer to the comics now.

I don't think so since Robert Kirkman did say that the comics might go past 300 issues and that it's going to go on for a long time (http://… moredailydead.com/exclusive-robert-kirkman-talks-issue-100-and-the-future-of-the-walking-dead/) so I don't think the end of the apocalypse is coming anytime soon.
I'm not saying i want to see a scene like that between Clem and Javier (at all).
It never ceases to amuse me though, when the default res… moreponse is 'that's illegal, you can't do that!'. I mean, really, this is a fictional narrative set amidst the Zombie Apocolypse, where people are hunting and Eating each other. There are no laws anymore. There is only personal morality - what you can live with having done, be it for survival, protection of someone weaker, compassion/empathy, or even a sense of comfort and belonging.
Like i said, i don't want there to be that type of intimate relationship between them, but the argument should be from a moral standpoint and not a legal one that has no relevence in this world the characters inhabit.
I get that you posted this 3 months ago, but I was sort of joking about that...
In fact, while I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT it to happen, it would be interesting, if it does.
In season 3 I'd love to see more character interaction. One thing I really loved about season 1 was being able to get to know your fellow survivors while you were exploring your surroundings. I felt that they really cut down on that in season 2 to rush the story along, which was a let down for me.

I loved how the menu gradually changed as the story progressed, it was a neat aesthetic change

Please just new zombie models. I'm tired of being able to name them since they're reused so many times.

There has to be a dance off.

ikr relatable characters would be better. 400 days is a good example and was the best walking dead in my opinion

she's been swearing since s2 unless she sailor-fies it
If that's what you mean
i would like to see a relationship thing amongst plenty characters like in the comics 4 example and hopefully between Clem and whoever you pick
But Glenn died like two years ago...
He was brutally murdered in front of the eyes of his daughter and pregnant wife.
Did Glenn have a daughter I never knew about?
Sophia.
i knoww, i mean maybe that wouldn't be the time Clem would be in just yet? maybe we'll see him before that happens idk gosh u mood killer! lol
What inspired you to create that username?
We won't see him before it happens because we've already long passed his death at this point in Season 3 since it's chronologically closer to the comics now.
a closer huh? mm maybe the apocalypse will be coming to an end too?
idk i just thought of the color red and elmo and letter x's lol

says the goofball who likes their own comments aye
Oh yeah. Forgot him and Maggie adopted her.
But I can't like my own comments, it's not a feature in this forum.
Personally, I don't really care to much. The only thing I'd like to see are more realistic ways weapons are handled.
For example, Kenny and Lee always seem to be able to pull a pistol from nowhere, and when carrying that battery. Lee just put it in his pocket.
That's the kind of crap I'd like to see change.
Where is this conversation even going.
