Anyways, same things about continuation/entry point blabla... but cool that we get details on what to expect from characters appearing and some themes of the season. Now, I don't read the comics (but I probably should, and maybe will in the future) but I do watch the show, so, I hope they're well-known enough that they've been on the show, that way I can kind of get a sense on who they are. But I don't really care because this is pretty cool anyhow. Yeah!

The Walking Dead season 3: Telltale boss confirms cameos from 'very well known' com… moreic characters
Telltale's third season of The Walking Dead begins later this year, two years on from the conclusion of season two. It marks a significant shift in the series, acting as both a continuation of the story and a new entry point for players who haven't played before.
Head of Creative Communications Job Stauffer discussed this and more in an interview with IBTimes UK conducted at Gamescom 2016. Most notably, he confirmed that "very well-known" characters from the comic book series, which these games run parallel to, will appear in the upcoming third season.
"As we get into this third season, it does start butting up against where the comics are now," said Stauffer. "Geographically we're very much closer to Virginia, and that does open the door... we will be seeing some charact… [view original content]

Definitely a lot more excited now, but not enough for full hype. I'd love to see some comic book characters come in, but not if they're gonna waste them on minor roles. I'm hoping Michonne comes across Clem on her way back to Alexandria, and if it's too late for that, Michonne in general please. (I fucking love her). As for all the other info, that's slightly exciting too. But I'm not getting too hyped after what a train wreck Season Two was.
Monthly, huh? Let's hope they've worked on later episodes a lot before Episode 1 comes out. If they rush it out the door it could be a horrible disaster of a series.
Well, we did just get Deltino and Dojo on board recently, not to mention in the time that passed after Season 2, we also added InGen, Cathal… moreOHara, and HiroVoid.
When Season 2 launched, it was just three to four active mods (on top of the new site debuting in 2013, which only gave us extremely basic mod tools at the time). Now that we have more active mods and way better mod tools, I think we'll honestly be fine. Even if not, we have a few more potential names we could ask to join us.
EDIT: Also, with Telltale going back to monthly episode releases, I think the waiting will not be as bad, so people won't get as nutty and anxious during the wait.
If the well known character turns out to be glen that would be pretty cool since they both know eachother from season 1.
Other then that, i really hope they dont stick around the whole game.
Honestly, I don't like how they'll be bringing in characters from the comics. I just hope it'll be cameos like in TWDS1 with Glenn and Hershel. I personally hated how in Game Of Thrones Ramsay constantly fucked you and couldn't do a thing since he was from the show. So yeah, liked it in Season 1, hated in Game Of Thrones.
I haven´t read the comics only a few pages but the Tv Show was AMAZING!!! I love Daryl Michonne,Carl and Maggie and i would not mind seeing them in S3 !!! Actually that would be AWESOME!!!!!! ^_^ But some people are saying they want Eugene or someone else and i have no idea what the fuck people are talking about...
Ugh comic characters nooooooo. Keep them seperate, every character that has crossed over hasnt worked very well as we cant really effect anything with the,

I don't mean to spoil anything, but a few of those characters are dead, very dead. Dead in the comics, dead in the show, etc.
We're more likely to Andrea and Rick then we are to see many of those characters.
The comics are very far ahead.

She's cool, badass and she's Rick's girlfriend. She's like the "second in command" in Alexandria, and now she's also Carl's stepmom. Also, pretty smart. And she lives.
Daryl doesn't exist in the comics. And Carl is a little shit. Maggie is too busy taking care of her baby and Hilltop. I'd rather see Andrea, Oceanside or Magna's group.

Good to hear S1 and S2 will have our choices matter going into S3, loved those games and it would mean a lot if they something with it. As for the comic book cameos I do have my worries. Plot armor and having little impact involving choices with em could prove to be rather frustrating. But as usual, we can only hope.

My read from this was that we will definitely be playing much more as Javi than Clem. I know some will be very pleased with that but for me it will be a bit of a let down. As for meeting comic characters I am also nonplussed by that info. I just don't like most of the comic characters any more. I guess I would like to interact with Andrea or Michonne, but like others have pointed out those characters will have plot armor and restrict both choices and storytelling options. Telltale's game has always stood on its own quite well and I don't see how bringing in comic characters will in any way help this game or be anything more then useless fan service. I don't want Clem to become some ancillary part of the war with the Saviors or the Whisperers. That was what killed the GoT game for me. No matter what you do the story they are telling will have no long reaching consequences that would nicely tie into the Main Arc from the comic. I do not want Clem's story to become some footnote to the story of Rick Grimes, Clem deserves far better than that.

Uh... please, don't call me dick, it's not nice. Besides, I'm a girl, so I would be more like a bitch, maybe?
I was kidding, Carl isn't a little shit, just dumb and annoying sometimes, he fucked Lydia, wich isn't someting 13-years-old-boys usually do, uh? Also, he wasn't nice to Sophia when they were dating, even when she accepted and forgive everything he said (to be fair, they were eight years old at that point...), he sleeps with the daughter of the enemy (who is way older than him) and pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend's mother once, he killed a little boy and several saviors, so, yeah, fuck that kid!
He did a lot of good things, I give you that, but he stills acts in a immature way, and that's dangerous.
Aaaaaand I wasn't saying anything bad about Maggie! I just sayd I didn't think she will show up in the game, please, don't kill me.
Edit:
Its your opinion but if its mean then dont fuckin say it.
Oh, looks who is saying it! What you say isn't very nice, either.
Yeah. I can't wait to see what dialogue our decisions will affect this time. Cause it won't affect anything else as this article confirms we will see Clem long after season 2 so they don't have to follow through as we'll be playin as Javier first.

I love this film!!!!!!!! XD

Who the fuck is Eugene?
I LOVE THE SHOW!!!! ^____^
Pffffffff not Andrea she shot Daryl.....and to boot she was really useless in the Show i want to see Carl or something...
Yesss!!!!!!!!!! Finally someone wants to see Michonne!!! I also want to see Carl Maggie or Daryl ^_^
that Andrea is nothing like the comic Andrea at all so basing your preference off that is a tad invalid
It's not possible for Daryl to be in any Telltale game as he doesn't exist in the comic universe.
What is she like in the comic then ive never read the comic
:´( Noooooo......i though he was..
Dont remind me! Lol ^.^
basically everything she isn't in the show (so badass)
Ohhh i might have to start reading the comics then
Yes, Andrea in the comics is better than in the show. First of all she doesn't act as stupid.
She's cool, badass and she's Rick's girlfriend. She's like the "second in command" in Alexandria, and now she's also Carl's stepmom. Also, pretty smart. And she lives.
You might not want to spoil some of that stuff for them as they haven't read the comics.
ANARCHY!!
Daryl doesn't exist in the comics. And Carl is a little shit. Maggie is too busy taking care of her baby and Hilltop. I'd rather see Andrea, Oceanside or Magna's group.
Glenn died.
Like two years ago.
So no.
Oh please, Ramsay appeared literally twice and both times it was minimal and did something for the story.
Nope, Daryl was specifically created for the show alone as he isn't in the comics, same with his brother Merle.

Loverz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
One of AMC's biggest mistakes.

You'll find out... soon
Edit: and there will be a metric but ton of people theorizing how Lee could still be alive
Well I can garuantee you will not see Daryl Dixon
^.^
Whoa, no need for those words buddy. He merely stated his opinion which is allowed. He never said you're not allowed to like Carl.
You need to settle down.

It was the only way they could get away with ignoring our choices for the story they want to tell. Start with Javier long after season 2 ended.
