Have to agree with the majority of the comments here. As much as I liked the cabin group, the 400 days DLC did seem a waste and they would h… moreave fit into season 2 perfectly as would Nate as the villian. He'd already met Russell, Wyatt and Eddie. I am sure he could have bumped into the other characters along the way.
However, there's no reason why they all couldn't have all been included. Everyone of the 400 days characters that goes with Tavia appears at the camp anyway. Instead of making more new characters, why not give the 400 days characters bigger roles? They could replace Mike and Jane in the prison camp and even take on Reggies role or be included in Luke's rescue mission. Depending on your choices it seems Russell wants to find family, Wyatt may or may not want to find Eddie, Vince may or may not want to find Justin and Shel and Becca could always of been seperated.. Giving them all a reason to help Luke. There is also the option of… [view original content]
I thought you meant 400 days character group vs cabin group in a fight. 400 days group would kick the cabin group's ass because they aren't incompetent
If I were making Nate the villain, I would dispense with the work camp/survivor community concept and keep the group on the move. He wouldn't have to fill the same role as Carver to be a threat.
...they would have fit into season 2 perfectly as would Nate as the villian.
Because Nate sure is Big Bad material with his strong leadership skills and efficient use of labor.
Yeah, that's honestly the only way I could imagine him being a threat. He'd probably need a group of his own though cause otherwise it'd get ridiculous: a whole group of at least 3 badasses running from a drunk psycho in a pickup truck.
And I think I just thought of a neat way to tie it all together....

For me personally, I think that the 400 days characters not having a bigger role in S2 is one of the main reasons why I did not like S2. 400 days was a great DLC and had the same high writing standards from where S1 left off and had us hyped up about the arrival of S2 as TellTale clearly stated that 400 days would bridge the 2 seasons together.
As we went through each episode of S2 we were expecting characters from 400 days like Nate and Eddie to come as they were such popular well written characters with depth, but they never featured and instead we only get poor 2 second cameos from the determinant characters in episode 3.
I do agree with a lot of people that the 400 days group should of been featured in S2 instead of the cabin group as they turned out to be far superior in terms of depth and personality. They should have done this and to do it they would have had to scrap all that determinant character stuff at the end of 400 days and not have Tavia. Oh and Nate would of been a great addition to S2 as an anti hero or villain instead of Carver who they paid loads of money for just to have a famous actor voice him, they could of invested in a better writer instead!
I am still bewildered to this day as to why the 400 days characters never really made it into the game again apart from Bonnie of course and even then there is barely any connection with her to 400 days in S2, after that it's just the awful let down cameo's.
What the hell ever happened to Nate and Eddie??? We're still left in the dark!
PLEASE SPEAK TO US ABOUT THIS TELLTALE!!!
So much potential lost, forever.....................................

Honestly, why does anyone care? Eddie either cut and run or was eventually killed for Nate's revenge. Nate either walked off into the twilight with the old people's stuff, got himself killed by Roman's Group, or got bitten by Clyde/Bennett and died sometime after Russell's chapter, which would arguably be karma.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to come off as callous towards their fans. I'm sure everyone would be happy to see those two again. But out of all the things we could worry about, what happened to the dumb pothead and the pyscho trucker is pretty low on that list.

Crackhead? I think they were both pot smokers, which doesn't make someone crazy or a bad person, just paranoid. That's probably why he shot Nate's buddy. It would be interesting to see what happened if Nate eventually caught up to Eddie or Eddie wandered to the truck stop looking for Wyatt. They were cool characters. They had a different flavour.

Season 2 in a nutshell.
Oh, I'm sorry--pothead; totally different stuff. Happy now, Bonnie the Drug Expert?
Also, I agree that they were different and different is [usually] good. It's just that they aren't exactly the most respectable guys out there, so you'll have to excuse me if I do give two pipes and a blunt about what happened to them.

Actually come to think of it, if the 400 days characters had been given a bigger role in S2 then their characters would probably have been ruined anyway thanks to the poor writing of S2,
Just the way I see it my friend, I think that the game will never be as good as it was back in S1. They have ran out of ideas and many new characters now are uninteresting and they don't do enough to make you like and care about them, so when they die or whatever I just get a meh feeling.
Whenever there is a new character who I actually start to like, they end up lasting only one episode as they get killed like almost straight away, examples from S2 are guys like Pete, Matthew, Walter and Reggie etc. So instead they allow awful characters to last longer like Mike, Arvo and Luke who was just there for the little girls to love who aren't even old enough to play this game and for them to start that stupid fucking cluke thing.
I just don't agree with the potential being lost forever. The way I see it, if a concept never reached it's full potential, what's stopping them from eventually revisiting said concept and expanding upon it? Potential can be wasted, but that doesn't mean it's lost. I mean sure, it's a shame it might not happen with a character or story that deserved it, but potential isn't something that has to be a one-and-done kind of deal. Just because something fell flat one time doesn't mean you can't pick up the pieces and try again in the future. Maybe it'll work out even better than originally planned. You don't really know until you revisit it.
But who knows, maybe I'm just being too optimistic about everything. It just gets a bit disheartening to see how disheartened and/or let down other people are by S2 and whatnot. I don't personally feel that way about it, but I know the feeling, having seen the same thing happen to other games/series I've cared about in the past. I guess I just wish other people could have enjoyed it more.

I couldn't agree more, personally I preferred the Cabin Crew to the 400 Days characters, but the DLC was more-or-less pointless! They had barely a minute's worth of screen-time each depending on who you persuaded to come with Tavia and we have Bonnie who regardless of the DLC, if the DLC wasn't even a thing, would still fit in perfectly... I was disappointed with the outcome.

i dont have any spite toward the cabin group, for not having much of a backstory, I just dont think they were as interesting characters as th… moree 400 days cast was.plus we had more time to get to know them by playing 400days hence why I feel like they should of had a bigger role than the cabin group in season 2.

Did you see the picture?
Edit: Stupid faulty image links; it should be up now!
I don't know, they might be on to something there...
Because Nate sure is Big Bad material with his strong leadership skills and efficient use of labor.
I don't know; Russell and Wyatt aren't exactly special forces material. I mean, they absolutely pale when compared to Travis.
It doesn't help that most of their group spend their scenario's trying to run from something....

Well that is quite a negative outlook on things

Okay, this is kinda confusing me. Mind explaining?
