  • Its cool. People just lump in the Cabin Group as a whole as being bad without taking the time to consider any of their positives.(Alvin wanting to help Clementine, Luke trying to do right by everyone, Pete being the standout to many, etc.)

You bring a valid point—both of those characters are some of the most relevant ones in "A House Divided" or a subsequent episode. This went through my head and that's why I said "generally speaking."

Haha indeed so as does a determinant Mr Everett lol. It would have been interesting to see if Kenny would try and help her if walkers hadn't shown up and she just appeared. And Lee of course

Well, crap, you are right, Dan. Unless I take an ace from under my sleeve. What about Beatrice? It might have been out of pragmatism b

  • Kenny.......truth be told .. has always bothered me as a character to some degree. The troupe of the idiot redneck is so overused everywhere. And here it is at its worst. It's like writers never think that stupid people can be nice or carring. Heck Mrs. St. John comes off as a better person than Kenny! That just feels like a scripting mistake that they doubled down on in S2. The character of Kenny should have died trying to save Ben. However, I love his voice actor so...

  • If you don't want Kenny in Season 3, then shoot him or leave him in Season 2. Fans of his character deserve to see more of him as much as fans of Clementine, Jane or AJ do to see more of their beloved character.

Well, I would'nt call him an idiot, per say; just someone who makes rash decisions without fully reviewing the consequences.

Heck Mrs. St. John comes off as a better person than Kenny!

Well, that could be because she is, but that's just the opinion of someone who really enjoyed her.

  • Implying he wasn't one beforehand.

Well...he wasnt. I mean in season 1 he definitely wasnt, he did some harsh things but none had any evil intentions. Season 2 he gradually got there but he was still helping babies and other people, he didn start hurting others till episode five

Kenny had gone full anti hero Implying he wasn't one beforehand. maybe something with them finding arvo Wouldn't it b

  • And like I said this is just a massive 180, Kenny's whole attitude in season 2 is that of denial and him gradually getting more and more okay with doing horrible things for supposed good intentions. I've played the whole two seasons together and this scene just sticks out like a sore thumb and feels out of place. The only way it slightly makes sense if clementine really lays into Kenny after Jane and tells him he is dangerous and threatens to leave. However even then, this ending doesnt feel right.

Personally i think Kenny shows remorse for what he did to Jane and all the other bad things he's done without actually saying so. I say this

  • Its like i said, we could also look at this final scene as a way of seeing Kenny open up (as in really letting out his true emotions compared to previous times) for the first time in a powerful way. It may seem like it doesn't feel right but at the same time I feel it is something he'd do anyway.

Ah well, I can't say enough how much I loved this scene though. From a feels point of view, it was probably the only good part of season 2 IMO

  • Well it wouldn't surprise me if they did what i said because think of the work they need to put in to make it work with 3-4 scenarios. I hope i'm wrong though.

  • This is my thoughts exactly! I wanna keep Kenny around my Clem as long as possible, it's as respectable as someone who doesn't want him around anymore. That's why our endings should matter. Kudos to you!

  • WRONG. I did not say that Kenny would never desert anyone. I said that Kenny would not desert YOU. Meaning Clementine seeing as how we're talking about Season 2 here. When you have a bond, he will stick his neck out for you no matter the cost. If you're an asshole to him then obviously he isn't going to put his life on the line, especially when he's barely known you for any length of time and you nearly let his son die. Whereas Jane deserted even her own family. That's weak as sh*t and I don't want someone like that in my corner, I'd rather a brash dude like Kenny than a flake like Jane.

he'll also never desert you Though he advocated to leave Lilly behind at the motel, after she had saved the group by killing the ban

  • It is common practice to use the word you instead of one in English, so I rightfully understood that you were speaking in general, as in saying that he would never desert anyone. This is proven to be a misunderstanding, so everything is fine—there is no need for excessive capitalization nor extreme insults against a character who has nothing to with what we were discussing.

  • Don't backtrack because you tried to twist my words. 'You' and 'Anyone' are not commonly used as interchangeable words, that's weird of you to try and say. I capitalized for emphasis, there's nothing wrong with that, and Jane was brought into the conversation in the OP, so I then carried on that trend making her part of my branch of conversation.

  • I hate Kenny the person, love Kenny the character....if he and Jane are in season 3...they should have the same screen time. Kensplainers are people too!

  • I am not interested in discussing this any further.

I wish you a nice day.
