Clem or/and Javier are like some kind if messengers, since they are badass and know how to survive in the real world. Stephanie (who, acording with this theory, is from Wellingtone) and Eugene (comic characters, ask someone else) talk and she decides to send them to see how things are doing in Alexandria and stuff. The third season will tell the story of these two and they crew in they journey from Wellingtone to Alexandria, with all the Capricorn fucks in the middle. Maybe they will be the next villians in the comic? They will work with the Whisperers? They ARE the Whisperers, a part of their group we haven't seen yet?
True. It would be about a 400 mile trip. Not as far as the trip from Georgia to Virginia but they also had vehicles for that trip. Though they don't have vehicles anylonger they still have horses and I would imagine they would use those.
Possible. However I don't think the people from Wellington would be the ones to travel to Alexandria. Wellington would be the stronger community and would have little reason to use their resources to go on a long journey. Alexandria however would have more of a reason to go on that journey. The place they are at currently isn't as safe as they would like it to be and they (especially after this war that is going on right now) would probably be seeking out a potentially more secure location.
As far as Clem and Javier being sent from Wellington to check out Rick's community the timeline in the comic wouldn't fit with that. Eugene has only been talking to Stephanie for about a week or two and Stephanie just mentioned what state she was in in the latest issue. They would still be a ways off from either community actually sending any type of party to the others location (in fact I think we are still about two years worth of comic releases away before we actually see the community from Ohio that Stephanie is at be it Wellington or some other place).
Honestly I think Clementine ending up at Oceanside is much better than her going to Alexandria. Oceanside seems to be the place that TellTale is sending its characters to as the comic doesn't really seem to have plans to do much with it other than just letting the reader know it is there and is a place they are trading with.
