I will tell and not show on this occasion because I'm a lazy bastard.
While captive within the Capricorn Farm compound, Javier and Clem… moreentine are locked in the same room. The young man is shocked to learn that Clem is an independent survivor—he has the opportunity to either tell her to keep it that way, to rely on other people when she needs to, or to do what she thinks is best. A message will tell the player that she will remember that.

If he was burned in the neck with a cow brander less than three hours ago, I would find it unrealistic if the thought of helping Clementine and AJ before himself even crossed his mind!
It's not that we dont want you to have fun; This thread is made for the S3 release. When people keep going off topic, things get out of hand. Like I said, there is this thread available where you can post whatever off topic comments you would like.
But yes, @Skye19, you need to stop. It would be unfair for everybody to be deprived of a thread to talk about Season Three just because of your excessive use of GIFs.
Not that I want to give her the idea that it is okay to do so, but technically, the official Episode 1 Waiting Thread comes this Tuesday so it's not like locking the thread at this point would be a severe penalty.
On a tangential note, I'm planning for the actual Episode 1 Waiting thread to have more strict moderation like normal waiting threads do. Season 3 is a weird exception as we usually don't do super early waiting threads. Considering that news for a Telltale game is not super frequent prior to release, having early waiting threads encourages lots of filler discussion, which I don't think will be a problem going into the Ep 1 thread since we are super close to release and have a somewhat tangible timeframe for when the game releases. On the bright side, it did eventually give us the idea of making Pre-Season News threads, which will be the new norm going forward prior to when we get our Episode 1 Waiting Thread up 4-8 weeks (ideally) before a series premieres.
The Season 3 waiting thread was a bit weird and we don't intend to recreate general waiting threads like this for future series prior to an Episode 1 thread, but to be fair, that's partially on us for making it in the first place.
,,Why? What did I do?"
At least get the quotation symbols right if you're being snarky.

I was normally planning on doing that, but the Batman thread so far didn't take off too much. I'm not opposed to the idea but I think we need to either revise it or find a way to make people stick around. Granted, Batman's community is not as large as the Walking Dead community, but I think we probably need to revise some of the ideas.

hype!!!!!!11
And don't forget the Forum Lounge threadish!
So, yeah, now's probably a good time to give a heads up - this thread was a bit unique and different due to how early it was, but the Episode 1 Waiting Thread is going to have our normal rules and moderation.
That means, we're going to start flagging more posts if they are off topic, over using gifs, or filler posts made by people posting just for the sake of posting.
Also, another problem I've noticed as of late - people in multiple forums are starting to over use large text. We don't mind it being used in small amounts or for good reasons (like labeling different sections of a post), but I want people to stop using it just because they can as it makes threads harder for users to follow. It can be visually distracting, and it makes mobile users have to scroll more.
If you want to post a Twitter hashtag, type a space before your hashtag so your text does not get large, like this for example:
#WalkingDeadNewFrontier
...versus:
WalkingDeadNewFrontier
As you can see, it makes posts cluttered and distracting for people to read if it's not used for a good reason.
It's not that we dont want you to have fun; This thread is made for the S3 release. When people keep going off topic, things get out of hand. Like I said, there is this thread available where you can post whatever off topic comments you would like.
I don't know. Javier looks he has a third degree burn.
Third-degree burn Excluding fourth-degree burns, third-degree burns are the most severe. They cause the most damage, extending through every layer of skin.
There is a misconception that third-degree burns are the most painful. However, with this type of burn the damage is so extensive that there may not be any pain because of nerve damage.
Depending on the cause, the symptoms third-degree burns can exhibit include:
waxy and white color
char
dark brown color
raised and leathery texture
blisters that do not develop
Without surgery, these wounds heal with severe scarring and contracture. There is no set timeline for complete spontaneous healing for third-degree burns.
It's possible the skin around the burn flesh would hurt, and that getting branded [particularly in traumatic circumstances] might make him go into shock, but after 3 hours he might be managing okay. Also if you think about the fight or flight response, that might change his mindset in a dangerous situation and he might not feel the pain so much.
Also Javier has family, with possibly one younger sibling around Clem's age if he and the girl shown in the recent screenshot are related. So, he might think twice for a teen and a toddler in trouble than guy with no family ties.
And you're not mad are you? Because I was only being jokey before with the thingy on the Javy douchebag thing ;_; I'm sorry. The ladder sequence is cool with all the dialogue choices, and the idea of carrying A.J in a backpack like a substitute for those baby carriers.
If he was burned in the neck with a cow brander less than three hours ago, I would find it unrealistic if the thought of helping Clementine and AJ before himself even crossed his mind!
Less than a thousand words and there's already a plot hole! Just have Javier offer his help and Clementine decline.

I hadn't even thought about it that way. Survivors have to get crafty, though! Cut a couple of holes on the corners of the backpack and AJ has himself a fancy baby carrier!

Not exactly sure if this has been posted yet but I just came across an interesting article.
“The Walking Dead: A New Frontier” is said to… more focus on Javier and returning protagonist Clementine. The Season Pass Disc will provice access to the first episode of the installment as well as the future episodes of the game. While the first episode will come with the Season Pass Disc, the other four episodes will be available for download on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store as they become available.
"it provides access to the first episode" Meaning that episode one had already released? So more hinting to E1 releasing before November 15th?
" “The Walking Dead: Season 3” players will view the game’s storyline via Javier’s eyes. Javier is the protagonist focused on finding his family amid the zombie apocalypse. Interestingly, gamers will also know Clementine’s past through playable flashbacks. This explains why players can play as both Javier… [view original content]
I don't think we'll only play as Clementine during the flashbacks for the entire season - perhaps just during episode 1 so we know what happened exactly. I mean... everyone wants to know and it's better than just offing Kenny and Jane in five minutes and being done with it.
That said, I doubt they can stretch one giant flashback taking up half the screentime along five episodes so we'll probably get to play as her in present time too, just not during the first episode.
It'd feel really odd if they just threw her away like that. Besides a vocal minority, Clementine is still the most popular character and their poster child.

Telltale have not announced specific platforms for New Frontier, but expect the usual - PC, Xbox One, PS4, Mobile, etc. 360 and PS3 are also still looking to be supported if the Season Pass discs are anything to go by.
I'm going to post the official Episode 1 Waiting Thread either tonight or tomorrow. After that, this thread gets locked. If you have any last words (preferably actual contributions to discussion and not memes/filler posts/etc), feel free to get it out of your system.
A moment of silence, for this thread. You will be missed [plays amazing grace]

Many people are worried about S3 not being good...but im not worried...i feel like this series is going to be about hope....thinking that they have gone though enough loss and heartbreak....and wanting to make a new world...to rebuild...to love again without the feeling of them being eaten or shoot at....Seeing Clem grow from a small defenseless naive little girl to a one finger-less independent strong mother-fuckin BADASS TEENAGER!!!!!!!! Everything you said could be valid points as to what might happen in S3.
Though, Telltale did already confirm that Lee Everett is dead and will stay dead.
