WHAT IF LILY RETURNS IN SEASON THREE?!

We all have remembered that in episode three of season one, Lily left the group after what she did to Carley, so I got to thinking she still might be alive because in episode one of season one, if you talk to her in the drugstore, she mentions she was in a part of the Air Force, which is considered the "wimpy" of the military, which means she could possibly and probably have the skills to survive. So, could she?

  • Its possible Lily could return, then again anything is possible. There are just so many unknown characters that Telltale could bring any of them back. If Lily does come back I feel like she would be a leader of a new group or come back stronger than ever. I definitely think Lily has the skills to survive and I'm hoping to see her again. I'm not sure how Clem would feel about seeing Lily again but I'm sure it would bring back memories and hopefully they will put the past behind them.

  • I mean, I would love for Lilly to return, but her character would probably be heavily butchered.

  • I would love to see Lilly return! Would be cool if she does return depending on your Season 2 Ending as well.

  • I don't think it would make sense to come in contact with any of the old characters unless Clem finds them at Wellington. Clem has traveled several states away from where Lilly was left so it would be unlikely to meet her again.

  • As much as I like Lilly, I would be infuriated.

  • Infuriated?

As much as I like Lilly, I would be infuriated.

  • No more returning characters, pretty please.

  • In the ending stats of ep 5 it was stated that she was never seen again. But if she does return I won't have my Clementine give her respect for what she's done.

  • Maybe she will be the villain?

  • Ha ha ha. I meant why would he be infuriated.

  • Oh okay lol.

  • If she comes back, I'm killing her.

I can't forgive her for what she did to my friend.

  • Because the season would lose credibility for me.

  • Well, Lee's friend, but I get the basic idea.

If she comes back, I'm killing her. I can't forgive her for what she did to my friend.

  • Personally, I adored Lily's character and would kind of love to have her back. Emphasis on kind of. I get that the chances of Clem running into not one but two old group members is extremely unlikely, but sometimes fiction can benefit from forgoing realism for a better story. There does get to a point where a story is just making the suspension of disbelief its bitch, and this could be getting there for a lot of people. (Or surpassing that point for others)

If Lily were to be carefully placed into the plot, not just standing as a good continuation of her character, but a good advancement of plot points and the development of other characters, then my problems with her return would be few. If they were to throw her in without much deliberation, destroy her pre-established character, force her into a role, or overshadow other cast members, then that is obviously a different story. There may be many opportunities for her character that I wish Telltale would seize, but they do have to focus on creating new characters and keeping the focus...well, focused. Damn that was not eloquent. Well, few of my comments are.

My thoughts on returning characters exactly.

  • I didn't like lily but I would like to see her return because she was an interesting character, I would prefer to see Christa return though but I doubt we'll see either of them :(

  • I usually pretend I am Lee.

I do that in every game I play, pretend I'm the main character.

  • I think ever since she turned out not to be the same Lily in the comics, Telltale have generally distanced themselves from Lily.

  • What I mean is that Lee is dead and Clementine is still the main character. If she doesn't trust Lilly for what happened to Carley/Doug, then yeah, same basic idea.

  • Huh. I wonder why?

  • That's the impression I've gotten as well.

But I prefer they keep it that way at this point.
