I liked the slower pace of Amid the Ruins. There were more opportunities to talk to the characters and get to know them.
Most of the dislikes aren't actual dislikes but indicate lack of interest because they were one-note characters. Reggie, Alvin, and Mike could have been good characters but they didn't get much attention from the developers. Troy wasn't the most likable guy but he could have been more grey than black. I got a glimpse of what could have been a redeeming quality before Jane shot him and left him as walker bait. Arvo was a good character but that whole scene was kind of unnecessary.
