Who did you sit at the dinner table with? Kenny's group or The Cabin Group?
In "A House Divided" during the dinner scene, who did you eat dinner with? Luke and his people or Kenny and his people?
For me it was Luke and his people. Kenny was a few screws loose, and I wouldn't trust him to take me to friggen Target. He was my best friend in Season 1 but I barely was on his side in Season 2.

Kenny's group. We had some catching up to do.
I eat with Kenny, because I wanted to catch up with him, and he has always been my friend. But I instantly felt bad for doing it because of Luke's reaction.
Kenny. Finding a guy who I was friends with as Lee who I thought was dead suddenly turns out to be alive, hell yeah I'm sitting with him. Sorry Luke, but you don't have anything on my boy Kenny.
Considering the fact that we just had a crazy reunion with Kenny, someone that we previously presumed dead, I had to sit with him and catch up a little more. And while this is a valid complaint against Kenny's Season 2 presence, I do have to admit that my relationship with him as Lee also influenced my decision. Either way though, I would've sat with him considering the surreal circumstances.
Luke
Luke, because Kenny sucks
I sat with Luke, because at the time I felt that Clementine would have more of a connection with someone who was eager to befriend her as a older brother figure, and had actually interacted with Clementine more than Kenny had in the entirety of Season 1.
If I remember correctly, it would've been the Cabin Group. I was likely sticking with them for the time being and recall Kenny saying "When you sat down with those people the other night...."
I really wanted to sit with Kenny, but Luke's group still seemed on the fence about staying there as Kenny's group seemed completely open, and I wanted Luke's group to trust them.
Luke, because I don't like Kenny.
Kenny. I wanted to catch up with him and at the time, I still wasn't too keen on the cabin group thanks to the whole locking Clem in a shed and letting her bleed out.
I ate with Luke and his people. I like Kenny, but I liked Luke more. I was well invested in that frienship.
Kenny. Was one of the most satisfying choices in the whole game for me. Was never a huge fan of cabin group but I barely even trusted them at that point.
Luke . Mostly to let Kenny know that things have changed.
Kenny has the same reaction as Luke did.
Sitting with:
Yeah, not the best idea.
Anyways, this choice was dumb in itself. Why the heck was everyone sitting in different tables? I mean they weren't that small! When you have strangers who you just met inside your safe fort, you should probably try and get to know them. Check if they're reliable and what not. What you don't do is ignore them and treat them as if they're some other kind of species. Just saying.
This raises a good question... Did Christa ever tell Clementine how Kenny disgustingly decided that it was best to leave her to fend off by herself when she was held captive by a psycho? Makes me wonder...
That is a good question! Does anything change if Kenny didn't want to go with you at first? I think not, seeing as he ends up going along anyway later on, but it's still an interesting point.
Luke. Wanted to keep the cabin group close. Didn't want them to think I didn't want/need them anymore. Knew Kenny wouldn't take it personally.
My initial choice was sitting with Kenny. Wanted to spend time with him and catch up.
I don't know, it just doesn't seem like Christa to off-handily mention that Kenny had once considered leaving Clementine to be kidnapped by the Stranger because Lee didn't help him enough.
And as far as I know, Clementine never discovers this detail since she never brings it up herself. Though technically she can know, because 'we' know through Lee's story back in Season 1.
Kenny may be a dick sometimes but he does have alot of good scenes. ((That talk in the truck you re talking about for example lol))
also i ate with Kenny Because i wasnt used to the cabin survivors yet so i decided to go with a familiar face
Obviously Kenny, considering at that point, he was really the only character I was interested in. Luke and co were boring as fuck and I'd spent enough time being stuck with them.
Sat with Kenny...been years since they saw each other.
I sat with Luke bc I was invested in the brotp between him and Clem.
Luke, I hate Kenny.
Okay, that's what I thought.
Sarita had Stockholm Syndrome?
Well, he didn't know that...at least, not yet.
A demonization/flanderization of her connection to Kenny, who could be interpreted/demonized as potentially abusive by some people. Reggie got a similar rep for wanting his old job back.
That's kinda the point, I think. Either a trigger of genuine guilt or a disaster waiting to happen.
Initially I choose Luke because I wanted to gain trust with the Cabin Group and honestly, I just liked him better.
...But then I switched to Kenny because I figured, realistically, Clem would want to catch up with him.
I loved both groups, so it had nothing to do with who I liked the most. I remember going back and forth the first few times playing the game, not really picking based on what I thought was the best option and more random. But I've started sitting with Luke and everyone else more, considering we got off to a really rough start with them locking me in the shed and all. I thought that after that I might still have to prove that they can trust me and that I'm not just gonna run off and be with some other group. On the other hand, Kenny and I have been through a lot and I know he wouldn't immediately hate me just because I sat next to someone else at dinner.
Yeah, that is an interesting way of putting it. I don't quite remember my logic, but I did make a similar choice.
Ken, I mean at the time he was presumed dead. Also Luke's group/Cabin group had just locked me in a shed nearly a week prior. Ha
Maybe calling it outright Stockholm Sindrome may be a bit too much, but there are definitely hints that that might've been the case, on being their little interaction in Episode 2:
Sarita: I got it, Ken.
Kenny: Nah, I got it, hon.
Sarita: I'm pretty sure I can manage Ke-
Kenny: I said I GOT IT!
Sarita looks clearly distressed and bothered for a fraction of second but quickly changes her expression and proceeds by complimenting Kenny and giving an excuse for his overreaction.
I don't know why else the writters would insert something like this to their episode if not to hint to some sort of slightly one-sided relatioship between them.
Yeah, not gonna lie, I thought that was gonna tie in to whatever happened with Kenny after he saved Ben/Christa. I'm surprised you didn't mention how Sarita glanced over her shoulder for a split second before complimenting Kenny.
I had Clementine sit with Kenny's group.
I don't remember, but I do know that it was so difficult that I put off for... a day? That said, I don't think I liked Kenny as much as in S1 because I was hoping for the returning character to be either Christa or Lilly, and of the ski lodge group, I was really only fond of Walter.
I had Clem sat with Kenny despite despising him for two reasons.
I think it's pretty dog to ditch Kenny for dinner even if you don't like him much. You've been through a lot with him, unlike Luke, and it's just common courtesy to catch up with someone you thought was dead.
I think Lee would've wanted us to sit with Kenny.
Kenny, because I felt it was a miracle he was alive and after what Sarita told me about him, I felt more sympathetic towards him.
Kenny. He was a selfish guy so the portions at his table had to be bigger.
There was also a chance that his new woman stashed samosas somewhere.
