Could the ******** still be alive?
I was just replaying "no time left" for the third time and I've noticed an interesting outcome for one of the choices.
So, if Lee managed to strangle the stranger and then decides not to shoot him, do you think there's a possibility of him surviving?
Firstly he doesn't come back as a Walker, although Clem and Lee were staying in that room for quite a while (smearing the guts around Clementine's clothes).
Secondly, if you do this, Clem says "he will come back". Yeah, she probably ment him becoming a zombie, but what if she actually ment that he's not dead and just unconsious?
Anyway, what are your thoughts about it, guys?
P.S. I'm sorry if this discussion has been brought up before.

He's Dead...
The why didn't he turn into a Walker?
Telltale has confirmed that Lee is dead.
Because you have the option to shoot him or leave him (I shot him).
And he does turn if you leave him, but...I doubt he would be getting out of Atlanta.
I dont think hes talking about lee...
He isnt talking about lee, in fact you already replied right?
The stranger is dead, even if for some reason he isnt in that specific scenario he wont show up again, there would be no point. The character didnt seem to be living for anything anymore.
Oh...I look like a fucking idiot right now.
Oh what am I saying, I am an idiot.
But yeah, I think the Stranger too is dead.
Its not really your fault im guessing the title had been edited to censor the name, but whoever did it hasnt added the name into the text
Considering you are given the option to shoot him in the head if you manage to strangle him as Lee. I really doubt it.
That's what I did in my playthrough.
Ah, just read the message a little more thoroughly.
Thank God, a message that's not about Lee's survival.
Here we have a prime example of why it is important to read the actually thread before commenting
Yeah, I guess it's kinda my fault for not mentioning that i'm talking about the stranger and that it's not an another "Lee might be alive" thread.
I just thought that people could figure it out, because the censored name consists of 8 letters, not 3.
Sorry, guys.

Ok, now my Internet connection is almost dead and I've accidentally spammed 5 comments.
I'm just gonna leave now before it gets awkward

Pretty sure that choice of shooting him or not was meant to show who Lee fully became at the end of the story, was he going to stop him from turning or let him become a walker because what he did.
It becomes a force of habit when the forum is sometimes flooded with topics about whether or not Lee survived.
Mistakes happens.
No offence but please don't make such threads because it really is stupid. The Stranger dies either way, even if he did not die being strangled, we won't ever see him again
I just thought it would be interesting to speculate on what happens to him if he really did survive. Did the Walkers outside the marsh house got him? If not, does he still tries to find Clem? Did he get over his family's death? e.t.c.
Yeah, that is kinda an interesting idea.
Somehow...I do not think he was the type of guy to get over things. Any man who carries his dead wife's walker head in a bag may just not be rational any time soon.
I don't think so. If she did mean he might come back as in wake up, then Clem is ruthless at 9 years old.
To be fair i kind of think the same way you do at things like this. I always wondered if Vernon had survived and the vague explanation from Joyce saying "we lost Brie and Vernon with that damn boat" to me is not concrete evidence. I have often wondered if he got out alive and where he is or if he is still alive but sadly we'll never know this. Same could be said for Molly and Lilly. You could even speculate about Andy and Danny St. John if their lives were spared
That is a good point about Vernon, since she's technically listing off a number of things that went wrong for them.
Molly and Lilly are classic examples of leaving of their own volition, with both being skilled and intelligent enough to likely get by on their own.
The St. Johns are debatable, but more unlikely than the other characters seeing as their farm was last seen being overrun with walkers, with Danny being caught in a bear trap with a high chance of bleeding out or going into shock should he free himself, Walker!Brenda seen coming out of the house by Lilly, and Andy dropping to his knees in defeat ignoring the incoming walkers. A possibility, but not a very likely one.
...What?
Read it again.
I did but how is Clementine saying he might wake up ruthless?
I think he/she means something along the lines of how shocking it would be for Clem to be right on such assumption, upping her badassery, which is crazy for a 9 year old to have any amount of, if you will. Then again I could be totally wrong lol.
He's dead. It's likely we will never see or hear mention of him ever again
The phrasing. Telling Lee "he might come back", in that moment, would kinda make it sound like: hey Lee what are you doing, we have to kill him. Whereas Clementine's tone was more to the point of: Hey, Lee, should we kill his brain?
ayy lmao
Oooh. To be fair, that's not really her being ruthless so much as smart: if he wakes up alive, he'll surely be pissed and try to come after them again; if he comes back turned, he could catch them offguard and then Clementine could be bitten, too. If you know the guy was after you and he could awaken/turn at the most inopportune time, why not just put him down while you got the chance?
Now that I think about it, it's that type of thinking that was part of the reason Carver and Jane bothered me.
The Stranger most likely reanimates into a walker. I hated him from the moment he took Clementine. My Lee wanted to protect Clementine with his life.
Well in a New Frontier they can mention him and has fate when talking to Javier or during the FlashBack episodes. I just hope the Flashbacks are kept an eye on because I don't want something to be in the flashback such as Clementine fist fighting another person and in Season 2 she never mentions that. It's like wasn't that important to bring up.
This thread is a disaster.
Nah, man... he's dead.
Turning isn't instant. Some turn within minutes, others took hours, and I believe a rare few turned days after their death.
Lee can shoot the stranger in the head afterward to prevent him from turning, or leave him be. Either way, Lee strangled the Stranger until he stopped breathing, you can even see his face turn lifeless and hear his last breath. So yes, he is dead.
As for Clementine, she is 100% implying that he will turn if left alone.
