Redeeming a villain
It is sad...you are either going to help Harvey not become TwoFace or you get Catwoman to be a hero...if only you could do both.

Harvey becomes TwoFace no matter what. Only his physical appearance seems to change.
And even if you save Catwoman at the debate she's not quite a "hero" yet.
No...his actions and speech are softer and is more willing to talk about getting help...I believe that he is scalable. It all starts with the choice at the debate....to redeem either of them it depends on who you save...and then you have to save Harvey again when his car is being chased....brush off Catwoman...if you do not save Selina at the debate, she says you let me know where we stand...as does Harvey . I think the chance is either him or her.
Even when you support him all the way through he shows disturbing signs of bipolarity. I would not consider him sane.
No, he is not sane...but then again other than The members of the GCPD...who in the Batman universe is sane?
Point taken. Telltale went on record that one villain would not appear should the player make the right choices. All signs point to Two-Face being that villain.
So we keep Harvey from being a villain...sadly this is predicated on the idea anyone would choose to save him over Selina...luckily there are 4 save slots and the game is fun enough for me to fill them all.
Well I think it's nice to offer the choice. There is hope that Harvey does not quite give in to become Two-Face, shouldn't that be enough ?
It also makes replaying episodes a rewarding experience.
I stuck with Selina though and I'm not disappointed at all. Selina and Bruce are made for each other I just hope the romance conclusion will be fulfilling for both of them.
Agreed
Speaking of villain being "redeemed". As absurd as it might seem I think Penguin turning its back on the Children of Arkham is downright plausible. As Bruce said to him before his resignation speech he is a pawn. A status he seemed content with as long as he got to see us fall, but I suspect he won't accept to be sacrificed and discarded when no longer needed.
I would not rule this out completely, there are two episodes left much could happen and one chapter is called "revelations"....
Who knows perhaps Lady Arkham herself could see the light, we can imagine all kinds of things really. My imagination ran wild and I ended up with the scenario that she is Bruce's half sister whose mother was commited and dies in Arkham.
I can't imagine Telltale going with this but it's always fun to speculate.
Interesting...it could be, but he has been such a bastard to Bruce...would rather punch him until it stops being funny.
I may have gotten carried away with my choice of words. It's just pure speculation without anything to back it up, what tipped me off was Bruce's comment about him being but a pawn which we all know he is, my mind worked from there, I interpreted it as some sort of foreshadowing but really there is not much to support that speculation.
If anything I think him being downright eliminated by the CoA is more plausible, perhaps we could be offered the choice of saving him. I like the idea of Batman being so noble that he could actually save one of his enemy. That would show just what an incredible character he is.
I'm holding onto the hope that the redeemable villian is Harvey. While I personally would describe the Catwoman in this game to be an anti-hero, (even in the first episode) the majority of the choices are Harvey vs. Selina, so I guess she kind of is his "villainous" counterpart.
Harvey definitely has to go through his issues. Otherwise, I don't think I or many other players would care as much or find him as enthralling. Now redemption...I think determinant redemption is something that could fit into Telltale's narrative quite nicely.
He wasn't looking too good in the episode four preview, but maybe all of the choices we've made could allow us to keep him from venturing entirely down his dark path in episode four or five. Harvey will no doubt continue to be a tragic character, but I could see him receiving a dark, yet hopeful determinant ending instead of only a depression-nuggets darker than my soul ending. (These are my dreams...please refrain from crushing 'em into tiny-bite size pieces and devoring them as I watch on and cry in a dimly-lit corner)
I suppose that Oz is also a possibility, and while in the majority of cases I would snatch up a redemption arc with an unhealthy level of fervor, I don't feel as enthusiastic about atoning Oz as I do other characters. Boy, while I still sympathize with the fellow and agree that the Children of Arkham exist because of injustice, I want to bitch slap him and the rest of the Children of Arkham to oblivion. I do love Oz's voice-acting, but everytime he speaks in that comically sleazy voice of his or whips out his pseudo-professional accent, a part of me dies inside while I maintain my cold and uncaring outward composure.
Given the choice between Oz and Harvey there is no doubt I'd try to save Harvey. Oz does not really fit the profile of a yet-to-be redeemed villain, he will in all likelyhood be left to his fate by the Children of Arkham.
I don't think I'll be able to save Harvey however because I sided with Selina right from the start. Sorry bro you are not worth the trade-off. Bruce needs emotional stability and Selina has no feelings for him. I'm glad Telltale went down that road and pushed very hard for a Bruce-Selina romance.
I agree that this is interesting to consider, but I'm skeptical. Oz has already murdered people, and seems to be going whole hog as far as upending the status quo, but it would be interesting to see him hesitate in some way depending on how Bruce comes back from being brought so low. I agree, though, that he's more likely to be betrayed or otherwise regret his loyalties.
I think that Harvey will inevitably do some shitty things come episode 4, but I'm thinking you'll be able to stop him/talk him out of doing something particularly heinous-- maybe to Gotham, or maybe to someone Bruce cares about (coughSelina). Or Alfred, or somebody close. Spitballin' here, and I agree, it's fun
I have:
1. Save selina & Montoya
2. Save Harvey & Harvey
3. Save Selina then Harvey
