Happy Thanksgiving Thread.

First off, allow to wish you all a very happy thanksgiving! It's hard to believe the year has gone by so fast. And with each passing year, the holidays seem come faster and faster!

So what are you thankful for this year?

Personally, I am thankful that I have a home to sleep in, and a vehicle to take me where I need to go.

Secondly, I am thankful for all the friends that I have had over the years, and I look forward to the new year which is soon upon us.

How about you?

Comments

  • I'm thankful I'm an ungrateful shitheel that has never had to go digging out of dumpsters for food scraps or begging people on the streets for chump change just so I can purchase a little booze to help forget my own situation.

I'm thankful I've made it through another year without being killed by Somalia warlords or Columbian drug cartels.

There's a lot of suffering in this world, and I don't presume to try to act like I am "lucky" because of a gluttonous holiday that celebrates slaughter and backwards western world idealism.

Fuck Thanksgiving, people should always be appreciative of the frivolous shit they have and not reserve it for a hypocritical holiday.

  • I'm thankful for peace, love, family, and turkeys.

  • I'm thankful for my team. Honestly, hearing from so many people about how much their jobs suck - sure, there are long, hard days, but the people I work with are always by my side, and I feel like I can trust them with anything, business related or private, and they'll always have my back. They're great people and I love them to death.

  • Happy Thanksgiving to telltale and all its fans

  • Yeah...Yeah...the usual "Fuck the holidays, because life really sucks" rant.

    Heard it all before.

  • I'm thankful Donald Trump is president.

I'm thankful I have a, sort of, loving family.

I'm thankful I have 80 dollars in my wallet.

I'm thankful I have a fuckton of video games.

    I think that's all I'm thankful for. :p

  • If you've heard it before. Maybe you'd be a bit more thick skinned about it, huh?

  • Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am thankful for waking up this morning, family and friends, and God. I wish you all to have a wonderful day! :-)

  • I honestly hate thanksgiving. It's given me nothing but pain and heartache in the past just like Christmas, and every year the weeks of both of those Holidays are some of my worst weeks of the year. But I do hope all of you guys have a great thanksgiving. I'd be a giant jackass if I tried to bring other people down with my BS.

I try not to be edgy or pessimistic about most things. Not saying you have to "join the masses" or anything, it's just a mentality I personally find unhealthy but that's only my opinion.

  • I don't know about you, but making a whiny and sarcastic retort to someone who genuinely doesn't like a holiday that you like is pretty edgy and pessimistic to me.

  • I find it amusing I can say something, and people always have the creativity to misconstrue it.

I never said I was edgy or that everything in life is bad because I don't agree with a cultural celebration of a holiday that celebrates gluttony.

But I guess I'll be a "pretentious cynic" because of my viewpoints.

Foods pretty good, games too, can't forget buddies to go hang out with at midnight to watch old ladies break each other knee caps.
