Is the Save transfer glitch from Season One to Two still a thing?
I know this was a big deal two years ago when the PS4 copy first came out but I just bought season two recently and since I just finished season one this morning, I wanted to move onto season two but it says I don't have a save file on my system. I have the 1.01 patch downloaded so I really don't know what's going on. Kind of feel like I wasted my money now because I'm not going to just play the game with randomly generated decisions. Probably not the place to talk about this but I wanted to know if it's still supposed to be an existing issue. I put a ticket in with Telltale but haven't heard back.

I seriously want a refund at this point. I just went back into season one and I can't even copy the save file so I can see if it was just the slot not working. So both games are broken and I pre-ordered season three. Great. Thanks guys. I'm done with Telltale. This is a joke that they can't even release years old games without problems. I also can't get a reply from anyone and I've been waiting five hours. This is extremely frustrating. I spent over 50 bucks for both seasons and neither of them work properly.
this is why i think if your gonna play telltale's games your better off playing on the pc. the console version always have issues for whatever reason.
Yeah I wish I had a good PC. My laptop just doesn't cut it.
The save data is broken, not the game. Try copying the save data to a USB device, then deleting it from your PS4 system. The save slots should work again. You will have to replay the Season though, as much as it sucks.
Also, this happened to me twice (save files going corrupt) on two Season 1 playthroughs, but I was able to transfer them both times. Do you have any existing save slots in Season 2? If so, try deleting them and then try transferring the Season 1 save slot again.
Could I test it by playing episode 5 and then transferring to Season Two to check?
Yes, I think that should work. Note, however, that most of the time, the save data corrupts somewhere along the road, not during the last or first episode. Still, try if it works. Then do another playthrough if it does, and do this every time you finish an episode:
--> You can? Copy this save data to the USB device and overwrite the data already on it. This way, you can transfer the working save data back to your PS4 if another save data break occurs.
--> You can't? The save data on the PS4 is broken. If you already have finished episodes and followed the other steps (copying to USB), delete the save data on the PS4 and copy the working data from the USB device back to your PS4. You will have to replay the episode you just finished, but not the entire game. If the save bug occurs after Episode 1, you'll have no save data on the USB device. Just delete the save data on the PS4 and replay Episode 1.
Note that the save data contains all save slots. This means deleting the save data deletes all save slots, not just the one you're currently playing. I would suggest playing through the game once and then copy it to Season 2, if possible. As soon as you start Season 2 and played to the first auto save, you can delete the Season 1 data with good conscience (Season 2 remembers what choices you made even if the Season 1 data is gone).

I had to return to the forum because I'm not getting any answers. It seems like my Season 1 game is glitched or something. I think the save file is corrupted but the problem is I deleted the save file, started over again, and I had the same problem arise. Am I just screwed here and I wasted my money? I'm pretty angry about this considering I can't get an answer.
