  • Wait what if Kenny/Jane get captured along with AJ, and Clem joins Javier to get both their families back from this group of killers who are probably like the Wolves or Saviors (maybe combined?)?

I don't hold hope for Kenny/Jane even appearing in S3 sadly

  • I think the new trailer strongly hints that they are dead unless Clem is talking about Lee and other people who have died along the way. It's not looking good.

I can totally accept them being dead, i expect it. But what I don't want is telltale to fuck us over by giving them offscreen deaths mentioned only through dialogue. If that happens it's just lazy and also it would be a lie as they originally said our ending choices would matter.

  • Oh, thats true, also with offscreen death of Christa which we thought she died, she probably shot in the leg. Remember when that dude Winston in S2 of episode 1 who was chasing Clementine in the woods? If you let him drag Clem and not grab onto the tree and get shot, one of his friends come in saying, "The OTHER one got away." so Christa is not dead. She managed to escape when we thought she died offscreen.

  • Oh yeah, it was a scream first, then gunshot making it feel like she got a bullet to the head if you choose to distract the thieves. I thought those guys wanted to know if she was with more people.

  • Hey actually canon or not that is quite interesting and I didn't know this. Maybe she really did get away. But if we really do ever see her again i'll just shake my head because realistically it's stupid

  • The weird thing is that Christa is not in Wellington, so were those guys wanting to capture her, or did she managed to get away, because it is hard to chase people at night in the forest

  • Originally, she did. Mike's original subplot had him explain that she got away as far as he knows because "Ralph" got shot in his ear. Victor showing up and mention that they gotta go if you let Winston drag you indicates that either Christa may have gotten away and he wants to give chase or they didn't have what they were looking for. Also, whether due to an animation error or a deliberate choice, Carver seems to briefly react to hearing her name if you ask him, so that's a thing I guess.

Didn't realize that death scene revealed her escape by letting Winston drag you. So those guys were supposed to be some of Carvers group who were searching for those people, and we find Victor half dead with other people who got executed.

  • Perhaps. After all, Johnny is pictured alongside the North Carolina Bandits in concept art. Personally, if that was the case, I prefer the idea that they were hired by Carver to look for the Cabin Group.

  • Do you think telltale scrapped the idea of Christa returning in S2 after episode 1?

    Sure.

  • Probably. The way they write her off makes me think she may have been intended to at one point, possibly even showing up in Kenny or Jane's place.

Also there are too much mentions of Christa during the episodes, but no expectations of actually seeing her.

  • Well, I'm pretty sure she ceased being mentioned in Episode 3 and Amid the Ruins, but you're right. As it is, Christa is essentially there to raise Clementine for two years and then be separated from her at a key time to give Kenny a motivational advantage in the final episode.

  • Oh yeah, in episode 2, Clem said to Kenny she talked about getting to Wellington, and makes Kenny more motivated to find it.

  • Lily isn't coming back. Accept it.

  • I actually meant that invertedly(motivating Clementine to be with Kenny) but sure.

    Is this a legitimate argument?

I mean, with Kenny there was significant evidence that he'd return. The stats screen said he was lost not dead, we kept the picture of his family, and Telltale even told us we'd find out what happens to him.

With Lilly there is absolutely nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilch. A probably reused RV asset, and just the fact that she's been gone a long time. It's been since s1e3 for crying out loud.

  • How come the stats for Lilly say "you told her you'd go with her in the RV?" (If you chose to be friendly with her) I also assumed Molly would return, but she had no stats, or maybe TTG scrapped it.

  • I want her to come back.

So I can kill the bitch.

I can't see her returning as anything other than an antagonistic character. I'm sorry Lilly fans but in Season 1 she showed herself to be a backstabbing hot-tempered coward that murders an innocent in cold blood and robs her own group, leaving them for dead and these two acts were all witnessed by Clem, how people still think these are the actions of a good caring friend is beyond? If these two happen to meet again, most likely and this is based on how she was in Season 1, Lilly will act all fake and friendly and be like "no hard feelings", the only believable reaction Clementine will have towards her is anger after the way things ended with Lilly and the group otherwise she'd be stabbing the likes of Lee, Kenny, Duck, Katjaa, Ben and Carley/Doug especially in the back by not showing any ounce of anger and knowing Lilly who has a temper(killing Carley over an insult is a good example) she might end up threatening Clem if Clem doesn't take too kindly to her and gives her attitude or wants Clem to keep her mouth shut. Your choices in Season 1 with Lilly should have no effect in later seasons because you were playing as Lee. But my opinion of wanting Lilly to return or not, as much as I want her to return so she can pay for what she did and give us closure on her and us, the people that like Carley, I want her not to return because I got a feeling Telltale will try to turn her into some brave hero when she showed no such thing in Season 1 considering there was no option to say she deserved to get left behind in Clem's dream sequence with Lee.
