If their first meeting plays like Lee and Molly's first meeting, where Clem beats Javi down unless the player has twitch reflexes, that would be amazing.
I really hope that writers of the Michonne DLC didn't have a big input in this. Because of that game it's made really doubt how this will turn out, I'm hoping for the best though, and it's very possible of a comic cross over aswell.
Dont think I'm going to like Javier if I can get him killed I will. Other than that Clem looks and sounds great but I hope we find out where Kenny/Jane is
I don't know how to explain it, but I think my main issue is the whole family thing and how Telltale is trying to "force" that on us and mak… moree us care? Every time we've seen Javier so far, he is always talking about his family or doing things to find/protect his family. And I'm just sitting here thinking, why the hell should I even give a crap about that? Specially when Clem and AJ are still out there. I have to get invested in this new main character AND his family? Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time getting attached to characters if I don't get to interact with them for very long and go through a bunch of different situations with them. Unless they seem like interesting characters straight from the beginning, which honestly wasn't the case with any of Javier's family members. That preview literally did nothing for me (except Clem at the end). But well, I just hope finding and protecting Javier's family won't be all what season 3 is a… [view original content]
Let it go. If i knew you'd keep this going i'd have just replied to the original post like i had originally intended before deciding that replying to the most recent post made more sense.
I agree, I was watching that scene with his grandfather attacking the family and I was just thinking I literally do not care about the emoti… moreonal connection you're trying to establish here just give me Clem, Aj, and the option to control Kenny or Jane.
Well, both. And she seems pretty badass in season 3. I don't agree with people who think she was bland. In S02 her voice sounded a bit too monotonous at times but she had her moments.
I quite enjoyed the preview. I feel that, for the most part, the updated graphics look pretty amazing. It still has a similiar comic book feel, but everything is more detailed. My only qualm there is with the eyes. The glare is somewhat off-putting. In all honesty though, I don't care too much about what the game looks like as long as it isn't a complete mess. Eh, I consider the eye problem to pretty insignificant. I'll probably get over it within five minutes of playing. I enjoy the stylized look though, so that's a plus. Imagining a special someone's beard with these new graphics? Hnnnnnnng.
Melissa Hutchinson did an amazing job aging Clementine's voice. She's still recognizable as Clementine, but sounds older. Perfect job there!
The prospect of learning about Javier leaves me enthusiastic. If any of the Telltale games in the past have any bearing here, I'm certain that I'll eventually grow attached to the guy and various of his living family members. I like that we'll be viewing the beginning of the outbreak. I always love seeing the initial chaos and how that affects the characters. And I'm kind of rushed at the moment, so please pardon any spelling or grammatical errors.
They showed roughly 3 mins of Javier's apparent origin story in which his family learn about how walkers come to be and some of them get hurt. Clementine shows up at the end in a different scene saving him from a walker by stabbing it in the back of the head while holding some sort of rifle and wearing some outfit that makes her look like hero that's traveled from a far place.
Basically, teasing who this guy is, bringing Clementine back at the end to get the crowd screamin, and showing very few seconds of one of their first scenes together--without really showing or telling anything about the plot itself. So, there's little for me to get an impression to comment on.

Me too. I aced that shit every time I tried, can't understand why people act like that shit is the last song of Guitar Hero on max level. And don't even get me started on the Kenny fight on the train...
I liked the trailer overall! Can relate with other that I watched it more than once myself. while re-watching it I directed more attention to Clementine. She looks pretty bad-ass (almost make me miss little Clemmy!) but the overall trailer, as well as the small teaser that we were given before gives me the notion that Clem may be involved in a...not so good group...
here are my reasons:
1. The large gun she is holding in the trailer: Where did she get that??!
2. Javier is cuffed when seen with her; why would she cuff a supposed stranger in this apocalyptic world, rather than avoiding him?
3. The "branding" mark that we saw earlier this year in the teaser: Javi's bonds are off, as he is holding a gun as well standing along side her. could he have been forced into Clem's group??
4. Clem's finger: Initiation??
IDK if this is a good theory, it just came to mind and i thought i could share
You know all the Russian's who weren't Arvo (in episode 4, they used his actor for Vitali in 5), apparently couldn't speak good Russian and look what happened to them...
Dont think I'm going to like Javier if I can get him killed I will. Other than that Clem looks and sounds great but I hope we find out where Kenny/Jane is
This was really good. I'm super excited for the game. It felt like Day 1 zombie apacolypse all over again, which is always fun to play. Let the good times keep coming.

Based off the most recent trailer and the other before it, Clem is going to be a lot more dark, violent, and cold. Now while I think she will be this way no matter what, I wonder if she has different styles of her new self. In Season 3, based off of the choices you made in Season 2 and who you are with, I wonder if she will be a lot more hot headed if you're with Kenny, or manipulative if you're with Jane. If you're by yourself then you might be free of these traits, but what other traits will you adopt if you have no one to guide you? I don't know but I'm interested to see how Season 2 choices will effect Season 3.
Didn't they say that how you treated certain characters in season 2 will matter in season 3 somehow? Or did I dream it? It would actually make a lot of sense, like how you treated Arvo (a stranger), Bonnie, Sarah, Rebecca, etc. if you were mean/distrusting or understanding/friendly, might determine how Clem reacts to Javier and other people in season 3. That would actually be awesome, but I'm not keeping my hopes high.
I'm still not very optimistic on Jane's/Kenny's part in the story though. I imagine they definitely will make an appearance, but I think (I hope) Telltale has learned enough to realize by now that they really need to flesh out their determinate characters before they just off them.
Hm makes me think though, maybe the reason Clem had Javi tied up was because Clem saw the tattoo on Javi's neck, and perhaps she thought Javi was related to the Capricorn Farm branders, and so took Javi prisoner because she thought he could lead him to Jane/Kenny if they were kidnapped by the Capricorn Farm brandits? What do you think, @BetterToSleep ? I know you like anything to do with Capricorn Farms lol.

That sounds quite possible and fitting, indeed, Sialark! If this were the case, the difficulty would lie in convincing Clementine that Javier is not part of Capricorn Farm. This would resemble a remixed Tales from the Borderlands, except Clementine is Fiona and Loader Bot.
However, I am not sure if Javier has already been branded at that point, given that, if I remember correctly, his branded side of the neck is not shown on the clip.

Outside of seeing Clem again, it didn't really do much for me. Jury's still out on Javi, but I don't have much interest in going through the outbreak again or doing an origin story for anyone.
My interest in the series is hyper focused on Clem, and 99% of that had nothing to do with Clem. But it was nice to see my Badass Little Sweet Pea again.
Comments
I feel like the only one who thinks that the Molly reflexes are really easy lol.
David: "Dad, calm down! It's me, David! You're in your house, calm down!"
Mother: "What are you doing!?"
David: "He's crazy! He attacked Héctor!"
Mother: "He's just... confused"
Javier: "Mum..."
Hope it helps! :-D
Prefer this Dora
…and also replying to me—which leads to your comment appearing as if it were advising me when I was in fact being sarcastic.
I'm pretty shit at recognizing voices. She sounds different but I guess that's to be expected now Clementine is older.

Maybe he grew up learning English, and ironically sucks at his native language
Not even a day, and this gif is already appropriate
Good work, @cRipper
Which Clementine? S2 or S1 cause it would be impressive if they made Javier even more bland and flat than S2 Clementine.
Let it go. If i knew you'd keep this going i'd have just replied to the original post like i had originally intended before deciding that replying to the most recent post made more sense.
Eh, i love Clem too, but at some point players might have to accept the involvement of new characters and move forward.

Really? What's the issue?
Let's write this conversation down as a misunderstanding.

That's quite possible, actually.
Et Ani?

Shut up and take my money god dammit! T_T

Well what can I say..? Play the game, play as Javier before you make your final judgement.

Right on brotha.
Clementine is playable too fam.
I'm so sick of this goddamn nonsense.

That would make having to play a new protagonist in season 3 worth it. But my hopes are not high either.
