Clem and Javier are with a larger group in the game
Just speculation but I suspect they will be with a decent sized group in the game (larger than just a handful of people). In the latest trailer AJ wasn't with the two yet we know he is in the game. So chances are there are people with them who are able to watch younger kids while other members of the group go out doing what they need to do to survive.
