Guardians of the Galaxy FAQ
(1) A Guardians of the Galaxy game from Telltale? How did that work? Does the gameplay revolve around action or story telling?
The game contains the trademark Telltale game style that was created with The Walking Dead in 2012. As with all games by Telltale, the game focuses on a new perspective with new, intricate stories set in a well-known setting. In this case, the new stories are set in a new Marvel universe with a new take on the Guardians of the Galaxy. The game progresses through the player's dialog and plot choices, interspersed with carefully orchestrated QTE action sequences.
(2) When was 'Guardians of the Galaxy - The Telltale Series' released?

(3) For which platforms is 'Guardians of the Galaxy - The Telltale Series' available?
It is available on consoles, PC/Mac, and mobile devices.
(4) How many episodes does the series have, and how much does it cost?
It is a five-episode season. Episodes are priced at $4.99 individually, or you can purchase all five Episodes at once with a Season Pass. Prices vary per platform.
(5) Does this game take place in the Marvel comic books or the cinematic universe?
It is its own interpretation of the series that borrows inspiration from other interpretations of the series, while also throwing in several original ideas and twists, similar to Batman - The Telltale Series.
(6) Aren’t Telltale games all about dialogue? How can they handle an action series?
Telltale games do indeed focus a lot on character development, but Telltale is certainly capable of making action scenes too. In newer Telltale titles such as The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, The Walking Dead: Michonne, and BATMAN, Telltale does a good job at incorporating lots of action scenes into player choices and character development.
(7) What is this comic story I read about? Did Telltale Make that too?
Guardians of the Galaxy: Telltale Games is a comic book that takes place prior to the events of Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy. Like the game, the story is told across five parts. The first issue was released on July 26, 2017, and the final issue was released on November 22, 2017. A trade paperback collecting all five issues was released on January 24, 2018. The individual issues can be purchased in digital form for Kindle or Comixology. The five-issue collected edition can be purchased as a paperback from Amazon or digitally from Comixology.
This comic was not produced by Telltale. It was published by the license holder for Guardians of the Galaxy comic books, Marvel Comics. The comic was created by DC Comics writers and artists and is set in the same universe as Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy series.
