Originally, I shot Kenny because, no matter how I felt about Jane, stopping him from going down the same road as Lilly was more important. Then when the truth came out and I stood up to Jane, I replayed the final chapter after the credits and made sure both were dead.

That and the fact that most people see shooting Kenny as "putting him out of his misery" or that "he's just too far gone". Every time I see that reasoning I'm like, well let's just hope an apocalypse never happens in real life and you won't have a family member/friend that has gone through hell and needs help/someone to be there for them and you think it's best to just kill them. Sure, this is a video game, but still.
Look pal, we get it, you love Kenny, you hate Jane. You are more than welcome to your opinion. But these kind of comments are unproductive. This community became one of the most toxic communites I have ever been a part of durring season 2. It was so ugly.

First playthrough I went to Wellington, But after I heard Kenny say "Just take the kids" I legit broke down and started crying.
I had to replay it and go with Kenny on my final choice as I just love Kenny so much.
I don't hate Jane. I'm neutral towards her. Perhaps there was an initial dislike moment when she antogonized Kenny but that's it. Also there's nothing toxic about what I said. Why so touchy?

How are they being toxic? Like you said, it's their opinion that the endings with Jane left a "is that it" vibe in the air and that the Kenny endings were happy. If you don't agree that's fine, ignore it or make a productive comment saying why you disagree. But to complain because they are stating their opinion is a bit unnecessary.

Because I have seen what snide comments about "Right or Happy" endings leads too. It took what was fun community and soured it to the point where it has still not recovered fully. Its started simply and got ugly in a hurry.
I am as guilty as anyone from that time, still surprised I didnt get banned.
There are no right answers, but when folks start talking about the endings like there is only one choice. Then the tribes start to Balkanize, then the mods step in, the forums shut down and then the bans get handed out.
Im no angel, Im one snarky bastard to this day (I bet the mods kind of hate me). But the language we use is important and the language your using right now leads to ugly stuff.

Shoot Kenny - I shot Kenny because he was going to murder someone for no reason. In that moment, he was a monster that needed to be stopped. He refused to listen to anyone else but his andger and paranoia, and that led him to almost manslaughter Jane with no justification, or solid reason even. I wanted to believe that he would be happy that I stopped him on time, but seeing the alternative where we let him live and him not showing any regret or guilt for what he had just done to Jane, even after knowing that she had not done the crime he had punished her for. A person like this is not ok, and as I saw a user comment a while back, knowing that there is an ending of Clem leaving a safe place to stay with the person who destroyed and scared away everyone she bonded with in the last few days and killed the last person who was legitimately worried about her with no good reason and without any signs of regret for his own monstrous crime is the utmost disturbing.
Forgave Jane - Her point was proven; Kenny wasn't stable and was unable to filter his anger. I do wish she hadn't lied to me, but I blame that on the game that never gave me the option to say "Yes" when she proposed leaving.
Turned the Family Away - We just can't let in a group that outnumbers us. They could easily exile us from our place or even kill us. When there are lives at stake you can't just take risks. Letting them in is putting blind trust on strangers. I do whish the ending wasn't so ruthless. Had the option of giving them food been there and I would've given it to them. Had the option to sugest them to come back in a few weeks so the place could be well prepared to recieve new people and I would've chosen it. Unfortunately, it was one extreme or another. I just chose the one who seemed less risky.
You have attempted to dehumanize a large portion of the users in the forum today, by saying that we do not have emotions and see people as things and are psychopaths. Do not be surprised to find that you are less than welcome on the website.

I didn't say it like that. Please do not lie. I said "they can be" in half-serious tone. Also you are not doing any good by removing the context by not quoting actual post I was replying to. Because what you said sounded a little bit inhuman for me. Also I don't think you can speak on the behalf of whole site.
It's funny. You two just started to make it a bit out-of-topic and personal while everything was fine, by complaining about toxic tendencies.

Actually, I joined this queue after you had engaged in off-topic conversation! Just check the time of publication.

It's funny people that went with Jane really feel like they need to explain themselves unlike those that went with Kenny. That speaks for itself I think.
I'm with Jane and AJ at Howe's.

Seriously, what the hell is your point here? My comment, if anything, shows that a Jane fan can fundament their statements and say something besides "I chose Kenny cuz he's fluffy kek".
It's funny people that went with Jane really feel like they need to explain themselves unlike those that went with Kenny. That speaks for itself I think.
It's funny people that went with Jane really feel like they need to explain themselves unlike those that went with Kenny. That speaks for itself I think.
I've played it all different ways, but this was my first run through.
I played it as Jane killed the baby and she was asking Clem to "play along" without fully explaining what was going on. It was very insulting and if you stand in front of both of them Jane constantly attacks or pushes you out of the way (I can't remember the details specifically at the moment). So with her having killed the kid and was trying to fight Kenny or make him look like a monster I was under the impression she was a psychopath, not to mention she tried to leave at the first sign of trouble and even left Clem a couple of times and didn't stop to help so she was all about herself, maybe narcissistic. She forced the issue and put me in a place where I had to decide who I wanted to survive. Kenny had never made me make that decision and in his mind he was just defending his family from a killer.
When Kenny said he wanted to just get the kids in I realized that he would sacrifice everything for Clem's well-being so she wasn't going to pass that up and lose Kenny again to choose people who didn't care about her at all. The reality is they could always go back.
Yeah, I often find myself questioning that mentality myself. After all, its part of the reason I would sometimes disagree with the approaches of people like Kenny, Lilly, and especially Jane.
At the very least, him killing her is pretty clear cut in getting across that he's outta control and he even acknowledges it himself regardless of what you do. Facing rejection/death with dignity and all that good stuff.

Did you really just say that when you just got finished making an entire thread explaining yourself as to why you choose Kenny. Pretty hypocritical don't you think? Also, not to mention, PLENTY Kenny fans go out of their way to explain themselves. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but you seem to think they don't. Also, there are plenty more threads like this, but most were deleted because they were offensive. I've seen plenty.

When the r… moreandom person on the internet thinks they know who strangers are merely off their choice in a videogame.

Old thread
But I stayed with Kenny.
To keep it short: Stayed with Kenny. Because I trust him and he's family. You don't give up on family, no matter how broken they are.
Originally, I shot Kenny because, no matter how I felt about Jane, stopping him from going down the same road as Lilly was more important. Then when the truth came out and I stood up to Jane, I replayed the final chapter after the credits and made sure both were dead.
I always find that quite psychopathic but whatever works for you
Yeah, I know right? OOC is Serious Business indeed!
In a way, it was cruel mercy for Kenny and karma for Jane, so I just macguyver'd a "happy" ending for Clementine and AJ.

I stayed with Kenny. I'd never leave Uncle Kenny.
Original ending, I'm with Jane and the family, but when I found out what Jane did i hated it, but stuck with my original choice for purity purposes.
Alone is still the best of all endings in my mind.
Stayed with Kenny until the end. Thankfully the game rewarded me with the happy ending instead of some "Is that it?" ending
first play through was the alone ending as i did not see clem going with jane after what she made her do.
i lost that save so i'll be using the staying in wellington one for my import.
