Darn it. I know for me at least. Last of Us has stolen some of Walking Dead's thunder
I have to say I still am really excited about the upcoming Season 3 game but after the new Last of Us trailer reveal I am thinking about that game a whole lot more than I am A New Frontier. More curious about what Ellie will be like than I am Clementine.
It's silly since Last of Us 2 likely won't come out for another year and a half to two years but for me at least the TLOU trailer reveal has stolen some of the upcoming TellTale games thunder.
Any of you guys feeling the same way. Thinking more about how crazy Ellie might end up being in their new game than what Clementine's future will end up being in New Frontier?

Lol. One could say that every year Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty steal thunder from other games. That doesn't matter to me at all. I'm excited for Season 3 already. On a side note, I only have an Xbox 360, lol.
I'm really excited for both games. I'm buying a PS4 just to play The Last of Us 2 (and some other exclusives).
But i dont think TLOU will steal any of TWD's thunder. They said that game is in a very early stage and i wouldnt expect it to be released until the holidays of 2017. I'd imagine TWD Season 3 would have been fully released by then, considering the first two episodes come out on the 20th of this month.
Nope. I like the Last of Us but it won't top The Walking Dead in my eyes.
The difference is that TLOU is still years away, whereas TWD is days away. We also won't get news on TLOU till at least E3, by which time TWD is already done.
I've never played the first one so i don't really care about the second one.
I like TLOU, But i'm more hyped for Walking Dead than TLOU. Nothing can extinguish my twd hype!
I never cared about TLOU to begin with, so it doesn't bother me.
I was never interested in the first season of The Last Of Us.

I'm the same way as you, @sony12. I'm also more excited for the Last of Us than any other Telltale game coming out. Because...honestly, I'm fed up with Telltale.
I think after TWD S3 and GOT S2 comes out, unless there'll be more seasons, I'll stop buying their games.

I enjoy The Last of Us and I'm excited to see the story continue, but it just gets so depressing...

Perhaps it's because the Last of Us Part II was just revealed and you have a lot more questions than New Frontier has.
It's a natural thing. I'm sure once the Walking Dead starts you'll be all about that and when the next Last of Us trailer rolls around the Walking Dead will be done you'll be all on that. It seems more of a tendency rather than a hard feeling.

Well, I'm a Naughty Dog fan but I'm a Telltale fan as well. I'm excited for both. But TLOU 2 is higher in my book because Naughty Dog always have their games figured out. I'm happy to see my two favourite video game little girls growing up and become stronger.
They grow up and go on Vengeance quests so fast... makes a parent proud.
Yeah most likely. They made an effort to tell us they are still in very early production so you know it isn't anywhere close to getting done. 2018 most likely and if it gets pushed back it will be 2019. That may have been why they chose to make Ellie 19 in the next game because it will be five years after the previous release and if she is 19 she will be five years older than she was in the first game.
I'm sure to. Right now though in the few days after that trailer release I find myself thinking about Ellie's game more than I do Clementine's game.

Lol. A look like that implies that they want to do more than just steal. Anyways yeah Ellie is one of the most well developed characters in video game history. Definitely one of the coolest ever created.

Still more hyped for TWD. And I don't see that changing, unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I'm still really looking forward to TLoU, but the simple fact of the matter is this-- TWD impacted me a lot more than TLoU did. I mean look, I really liked TLoU, but it just didn't resonate with me the same way this series did. The things I felt, the way I connected to both the characters and the story... those feelings were all the more intense for TWD than they were for TLoU. TLoU comes in a close second, though. Well, actually, maybe third. I'm not entirely sure.
Anyways, I've been hooked on TWD since the first episode came out 4 years ago, and they've managed to keep me reeled in for every step of the way
At this point in time, I am ride or die with this series, and I'll go down with the damn ship

I relate and agree so hard, it hurts.
Loved both games, but gladly they're coming out at different times. Sure we got two stories here with Badass girls stuck in an apocalyptic environment and they will probably share some storytelling elements, but there is no reason we can't be hyped and enjoy both.
I'd say writers of TWD s2 stole it.

That's no good reason to hate her character. Her being popular isn't the fault of the character.
If that's the case then Clementine is a bitch for stealing the spotlight of lesser known games.
Because their stories are getting weaker and weaker and weaker every game they make.
