... dead. Why do I think so?
We already now that Clem will appear only in Javier's flashbacks. Why? Why can't we play as her and Javier - just like we did in TftB? Because she's dead? Dead do not have flashbacks. Ok, so Javier is telling story about a girl he met, who did something important, helped him, whatever. If she appears only in his flashback, then she's not present in the real time. Why? Is she... dead?
The picture of grave. Is it a random grave? Why would Telltale show us random grave? Maybe it's Clem's grave. Story may start with Javier digging, thinking how it has all begun.
What do you think? Is she dead?

umm unless i missed something there are no javier flashbacks (not including the extended footage stuff), the flashbacks that are mentioned are clem's that take place between season 2 and 3 and thats when we play as her

The playable flashbacks won't be Javier's, but Clementine's. The scene we saw of Javier and Clementine in the extended preview was in present time, therefor she can't be dead.

Telltale want tears. Last harvest didn't satisfy them. They have to kill lovable character.

No. The likelihood of this grave being Clementine's is the likelihood of it being Javier's.
If Clementine dies it would be in Episode 5 because we know we'll being playing as her. That being said it's still not likely unless this season is the last.
I would doubt so; even if this was the case, they would not start the Season that way for a character like Clementine. They would have to do a lot of build up, instead of immediately throwing players into that situation. Lord knows what would happen if they pulled another Omid situation.

I mean, it was never confirmed Clem ONLY appears in flashbacks, in fact it seems the opposite, and there will never be a flashback that has both Clem and Javier.
Also, Borderlands had two playable characters and you could still interact with the other when you weren't in control. There was even a whole scene where you talk to each other back and forth.
