  • A user of the forum said that the team previously working on what originally was "Divided We Fall," the original second episode of the season, is now working on "Ties That Bind - Part Two." This means that "Part One" and "Part Two" do not only have content of the original "Ties That Bind," but also a little of "Divided We Fall."

The original "Ties That Bind" was even shorter than two point five hours, yet they made Bruner say that it was too big to be one episode.

  • We've waited two and a half fucking years, yet they couldn't just throw us a bone and give us a 2/2.5 hour long episode? They had to chop it up and take off a good 30mins/hour to the whole season, and then try to make it seem like they're giving us more? Fuck that, man!

  • That was the case with Michonne, with an hour and a half.

If what @Shiyo296 has said is accurate, A New Frontier's is shorter.

  • If they're all that short, that makes the season 6.5 hours at most. That's literally just over half of what Season 1 was.

  • Okay this is honestly dissapointing.
I really wonder what was so huge in episode 1 that it had to be splint into 2 episodes.

I fucked up the time, the both episodes are one hour and 15 mins, exploring the menu adds 10-39 more mins.

  • I think its even shorter than Season 2.

  • Did anyone happen to catch the name of the writer for these 2 episodes when this thing was aired? Just curious.

  • Fuck this! If this actually true then seriously fuck this. I hope they don't make another TWD game after this. Again if it's true then i am done once this game has finished. I feel fucking betrayed and i've not even played it yet

They're two hours and a half combined, according to what @Shiyo296 just said. Edited section How is two hours and a half "too big," Kevin Bruner? They screwed us over and then did it again backwards.

  • I wouldn't put too much stock into the times of the episodes since it was a crowd play. The time was probably skewed a little bit considering in a crowd play I doubt they went all out looking for everything in the episode, hell, they probably didn't even stop to talk at hubs if there were any.

  • I'm texting someone right now who played it and they said it felt like an hour and a half.

  • Calm down, maybe that episode is short because is the one of Clem flashbacks, and since it has 9 openings the episode is going to be very different every time you replay it.

Wow, are they serious? That is honestly really disappointing and it makes no sense why they couldn't have episode one be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Instead they had to split it into two episodes, only leaving us with another 3. I swear, if the rest of the episodes are that short I am going to be pissed. This is a new season with a new playable protagonist that has a big family, we have to get attached and build a connection with these new characters and they make it the shortest season yet?

  • spoilers any? PMs? Seriously I do have to laugh at all the people who get mad at literally every Telltale game and complain at Telltale (while yes Telltale has done alot of wrong in some regards) but these people act like it's something new but they'll be back for the next game like seriously if you put up with it you must like it so get over it.

Bu- bu- but quality over quantity, guys! It's like, are you kidding me, Telltale? It took 2 years just to make two 1 hour and 15-minute episodes! What is the fuck up with that? If all 5 episodes are that long, the entire game is only going to be 6 and a half hours long. That's shorter than a fucking Call of Duty campaign; COD focuses mostly on multiplayer but it also has a campaign and an arcade game mode, yet its story is longer than TWD's. The Walking Dead is only a story mode; there is no excuse for these short episode lengths. Unacceptable.

I'm honestly hoping it's just the first two. For some reason they thought 2 hours and a half was too much for one episode, because God forbid, they couldn't make their fans happy after so many years of waiting. I don't see how this season will manage to make me care for Javier and his family (and all the new characters) if each episode is that short.

Guys you need to calm down! don't you remember what they said a few months ago? they are streamlining episodes because WD fans don't want to sit around learning about character's backgrounds and the mundane stuff like hubs ,the enviroment ,and scenary... xD

  • Three people were there, as far as my knowledge goes.

    • Shiyo296

    • Mikey

    • Rayan

The first, who is a member of the forum, assures that each episode is an hour and a quarter long; the second first agreed that each episode is an hour and a quarter long, and then said that they're an hour and thirty to forty minutes long; and the third, who has spoken to @Dont_Look_Back, says that each episode is an hour and forty minutes long.

We have to find more people; we're relying on three, at the moment.

    Two things:
    1. We start off as Javier. This means the extended look is probably like the part in S2 with Omid and Christa.
    2. And I think our worst fears have come true: Clem is apparently only playable during flashbacks.
