Two things:
1. We start off as Javier. This means the extended look is probably like the part in S2 with Omid and Christa.
2. And I think… more our worst fears have come true: Clem is apparently only playable during flashbacks.

I'm honestly hoping it's just the first two. For some reason they thought 2 hours and a half was too much for one episode, because God forbi… mored, they couldn't make their fans happy after so many years of waiting. I don't see how this season will manage to make me care for Javier and his family (and all the new characters) if each episode is that short.

That might happen, we have no clue. But what if it doesn't? If we don't play her in the first two (other than flashbacks) why would we play her in the final three?

These tweets seem a little confusing...why would he say, "From what I understand you only play as the new guy?" He was there, wouldn't he know for sure that you can play as Clem and Javier? Maybe playing as Clem is determinant, depending on your ending??
Also what on earth does he mean when he says, "I think Clem will be the Kenny version for Lee"?? Does he mean that how Clem reacts to Javier can change determinantly, and there'll be some sort of point system, like with the Kenny-Lee relationship in Season One???

I don't get it but the lengths of the episode don't matter to me just make it a good story the length doesn't matter even just 60 minutes is fine with me as long as it hooks me it's all good I don't understand why people make such a big deal out of it.
Yeah, I dunno. I mean, he was clearly there. Maybe he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed? Clearly, he would be able to see if they played Clem or not but he possibly just worded his sentence awkwardly. I'm not too sure what he meant when he said: "I think Clem will be the Kenny version for Lee." I guess we will find out on Tuesday.
Well, we know Clem is not dead in Ep 4 and in Ep 5 we can see Luke resurrected.
(Jesus seems to be a character that is going to stay the whole season... such a shame)
Fucking hell! All these fucking changes! One thing i loved about previous games is looking ahead at the episodes getting an interest of the episode titles. Now we get fuck all! For fuck's sake!
You guys should all join the Olympics for the long jump, because you're all great at jumping to conclusions.
Idk, I things it's incredibly shortsighted to call off a game because of vague hearsay and estimations. Telltale obviously put a lot of work into it with the data mining they did for Clem. We don't know for sure if they rushed through hubs our options to make the crowd play shorter. Let's wait for the game to release to get an actual time before swearing at the telltale developers.
Of course, the last time I told people to have faith in telltale was when I tried to assure people that the writers would not be awful enough to kill Nick off screen before Amid the Ruins came out, so maybe I just jinxed everything.

For people who don't feel comfortable about Javy, people at the crowdplay didn't dislike his character... I'm not saying how his character is because I don't want to give spoilers, but they said he's fresh, new and unique compared to what we have seen. Hope that makes y'all feel better.
Comments
Only two episodes have released. We'll play as her in the other three.

You'll see a shirtless Javier each episode, that will make you care.
man this thread is to cynical even for me.

That's unnecessarily rude.
I wasn't being rude! I even called him/her cute!
I was truthfully going to say the same thing
For people curious:
Actually, no, I don't believe in Santa Claus, and how was that comment innocent/cute?
"Kenny version for Lee"
Someone keep salt licks away from Clem.

It wasn't for you, it was for Don't Look Back because s/he said that we will play as Clem in the episodes 3-4-5

Thank's, lol. I don't know how to post images like that... Kinda embarrassing for me.
So proud of me Clem.
it's what i figured. clem is back to her role in season 1 and our choices will change how she reacts to javiar as opposed to being Static.
thats what if seems like.

Oh, jeez. My mistake.
wish they did a livestream of this
GOD NO! That just be a shit show of people coming in here and being dicks.

The format changed a while back, but no problem.
There's a new AutoMod for Twitch which cuts down on toxic stuff.
This is why people are scared of the Walking Dead forums. Everyone seems easily angered and exaggerate.
Calm down, man. They didn't even change anything. The episode slides just weren't shown in the Crowd Play.
Reserve your judgement for release day. Stop getting so worked up over things.
Sorry guys. You all know like with everyone that i want this game to be good but i am very worried
did anyone see the antagonist?

Did the crowd play use the story generator?
Think so....they picked ending up with Jane and the family at Howes
[sees the Javier hater comments. "Clem isn't main protag."]
I thought we were past this guys.... why does no one give Telltale a chance with this new season's characters?! Come on!
That's what happens when people have been waiting for something for years and receive negative news about it.
Sometime in the second episode you might see them.
I've been waiting just as long as everyone else.

So have I. Some just know how to handle it better.
