Blind Sniper Mod Edit:
Please refrain from posting spoilers in this thread. Even if you use spoiler tags, spoilers still show up in FP11's profile feed. I will potentially give out short bans to people who continue to post spoilers after this warning. - Blind Sniper

Pretty okay episode.I kinda liked it.Very short though.
Dis gon be good
Could this be the most hated walking dead episode? Or is Amid the Ruins still going to hold that trophy.
Somehow I don't think so
to short, should've been longer. TG said that episode 1 was to long and cut it into 2 episodes... well my ass...
Can somebody say something about the performance?
For the most part decent. A few cringe-worthy dialogue choices but overall, decent.
I believe they meant the game's performance on PS4/PC I'm guessing.
I've only seen bits and pieces of the actual story, and those were underwhelming at best. However, they were out of context, so maybe that was the problem. I'll reserve judgement for after I've played the episodes for myself. But I have seen two scenes in their entirety, and they don't require any context. They were terrible. I hate to say this, but they were absolutely shitty cringefests.
Again, I haven't seen or played the whole thing yet, but from what I have seen, I'm very disappointed.
Same situation as you thanks to Steam release times. I hope the rest of the game does better than the stuff we've seen, but damn.
Herpaderp my bad then.
The games perform relatively well, there is only one part where i experienced the game freezing for a split second between loading screens during an action sequence, other than that no issues.
Release time isn't actually a problem for me, I'm on PS4 and only have to wait for another four and a half hours (Europe). But I was still curious, and sadly I don't even feel like staying up until midnight anymore. The hype is gone and replaced by an eery feeling of foreboding. Sounds a bit dramatic, but it's actually true.
Wow that sounds like a cry into your pillow because your date never showed up on prom night type of scenario
Sorry if I killed your hype. Hope I didn't so you can get more enjoyment out of the episode than I probably will.
Your good. I'm used to people bashing stuff. I'm soft of immuned to disappointment at this point. I'm still very excited to play.
How short are we talking here?
Surprise you haven't found out yet. Both episodes are around 75 mins.
This episode makes me appreciate S2 a lot more
Mehhh. Why do telltale keep doing this? Where are they getting this feedback?
There are apparently a good chunk of hubs, and from what I've heard they've been skipped/rushed in the videos currently up right now. I'm pretty bummed too, but as long as I can get at least 3 hours tomorrow I'll live.
Ahh that's a bit better..
I wonder if they released two episodes at once to postpone concerns about length, as people will feel like they've played much longer than usual.
That's puzzling to me as well, I've rarely opened a thread or read a review about an episode being too long.
any more specific comments (minus spoilers obviously)? What did you think improved on season 2 and what was a step backwards?
They improved on the hub exploration and character interactions but the handling of characters, length, writing, and pacing is a step backwards
Thread: Ties That Bind Part 1 and 2 Spoiler Free First Impressions
I hope no one's made this thread and I've just missed it. If so, sorry. I haven't played the game yet (waiting for the season pass disc), but I've seen a lot of angry threads but nothing about what people have actually thought of the first two episodes and how they rate them so far. If anyone has any spoiler-free impressions they want to share, feel free. I'd love to get an idea of how people rank the story so far.
I did...

Thanks! Sorry for the pointless thread haha..
I have merged your guys' threads.
I'm playing super biased towards Clementine and not really thinking about Javi's family
Do you mean it was so bad it makes season 2 look good (in your opinion), or that it adds context to season 2?
At the moment, about 90% of people are according to the decisions.
I'm playing the exact opposite. pff
So bad it makes season 2 look good.
Telltale pretty much got S2's mistakes, added more fuckups to them, and shoved it into the first episode.
Despite the major fuckup, I do like where the story of S3 is going. I like it a lot.
