Asking for clarification regarding the story generator:
I'm just wondering - is there any reason for me to hold onto my saves from season 2, or does the story generator cover all choices that will have a (marginal..) impact on S3?
Basically, is there any benefit to importing saves over using the generator?

Nope. Season 3 will carry on regardless of your choices except minor dialogue.
And there is zero difference between generated saves and actual saves?
No. Basically your ending choices in season 2 equate to whether or not Clem has a scar or not. So doesn't matter if you import or use the generator. Clem acts the same way either way because we're Javier and not her.
I think the fact that we play as Javier and not Clem is even more of a reason that she should act differently based on choices to be honest...

This new feature does cover all marginal choices, going by what one can tell, so you needn't hold onto your original save files.
Oh that sounds good. My main concern is choices about Lilly and Christa as I'm desperate for them to return lol
