It is very obvious that they probably have a romantic relationship, but everytime a kind of romantic option comes up I swerve in the other direction because I feel like I'm breaking the bro code. I can't do that to my dude David, even when we thought he was dead.

I didn't pick any romance options because I thought the whole 'romancing the sister-in-law' is overused, but I did flirt with Eleanor, hopefully something will come of that.

To me it felt more interesting that Javier genuinely have feelings for her, but didn't acted on it because his responsibility and maturity. So whenever they interact, there is a lot of ship tease but no kissing or anything else.
Who knows, depending on how things goes, it may or may not happen.

We got Javi and Kate with David. Then we also have wild card Eleanor. But next we have Tripp who seems to like Elanor. So what we got ourselves, Javi, Kate, David, Elanor, and Tripp, we got ourselves a love Pentagon.

I personally don't feel the relationship between them, I saw them more as a brother/sister from the start and then the romantic options started to pop up lol. I'll see if the game will bring another romance for Javier in the mix but romance isn't really mandatory for me in TWD.
I have to admit that flirting with family's significant other is something that puts me off. I wouldn't have minded a relationship between them, but I couldn't go through with it with how obvious it seemed to me that David was gonna turn up later. If he had been dead for sure, then I might have pursued it.

The second I heard that quote the whole world started getting dark.
Well, when two people have chemistry, it's kind of natural to "predict" them being together. If Javier fell for someone that she showed no prior interest in, that would feel like cheap writing more than anything.
It's also kinda boring. I don't really care what happens just as long as the story gets better. It's the same with Clem and Gabe, I don't want it to happen, but if it does, whatever. At most it will just annoy me, but ill live.
But, I rather them not be together because it would be too boring and predictable for me. Just my onion.
