Conrad vs Clementine
These decisions are laughably bad. Conrad, a person we've known barely ten minutes vs Clementine, a girl we've literally seen grow up over the past two games. It was no contest to shoot him. Even without Clem's flashback (which Javier would have no knowledge of anyway) it's still impossible to side with some grief-stricken old man and his half-assed plan.
Long story short, don't threaten my Clementine.
and aside: Garrus Vakarian is Jesus. Welp. That's a revelation.

The only way to save new frontier was to introduce Garrus.
Lol
Some people think the plan is a good one, although personally I don't really think it would work out so well for us in the end and I just had to hope that my reasoning skills would do good enough. I mean the most they could do is kill Kate,Gabe or Tripp, I did them all but I didn't think they really would end up doing that, since Jesus has places to be after anyway
Hopefully Jesus calibrates the sh*t out of TNF during this story.
Garrus is Jesus?
Exactly
The plan didn't even make any sense. 'We'll trade Clementine for medical supplies!' That's... assuming they care. For all we know, we could bring Clem to the gate, they'd kill her right away, and there went our bargaining chip. Conrad simply wasn't thinking rationally.
o is anyone else running into this problem where I choose to go to the junkyard with Eleanor and stand my ground with Clem just to end up in Prescott at the start of episode 2 helping out with Kate's surgery?
I don't trust clem anymore. What is stopping her from killing javier whenever.
It makes no sense for Javier as a character to shoot Conrad. He knew Conrad and Clementine for an almost equal amount of time, and he met Clementine because she robbed him and held him hostage. It's honestly a bit ridiculous how he calls her friend and always backs her up regardless of your decisions after that.
I knew that Telltale should have left Clem out of this. People are way too biased and forgiving towards her.
Woulda been a horrible move. She is the face of Telltale's Walking Dead.
I thought Jesus sounded strange and familiar I was all like "That's not Jesus's voice..." like I understand if they wanted to just get ANF out, Garrus's VA does an awesome job but I kinda wish it followed the show.
Also only reason I shot Conrad was because he had Gabe (yeah I hate Gabe) but Conrad doesn't need to kill him so I was all like "Fuck you Conrad, don't mess with my stupid son, it's my job to kill him."
It was once of those instances where Javier's behavior towards Clementine can make little sense at time, considering that he barely knows her and shouldn't have this much faith in her as much as the audience does.
I guess that's why the Conrad vs Clementine choice just doesn't work.
Do you guys realize that Conrad pointed a gun to Gabe's head, and if you don't choose anything, he shoots Javier and Gabe?
Anyway, this doesn't erase the situation being totally forced, in my opinion.
Anyone else's father instinct kick in when Eleanor suggested that Gabe and Clem might hit it off?
Eleanor: "Maybe they'll hit it off..."
Me: "Dafuq did you just say? I most certainly hope not! I raised her better than this!"
Aaah, Telltale. You big goofballs.
Yea, would have been a better idea to start the series off with Javier if they expected players to not side with a major character from the two previous games. So far, just about everything's been handled poorly.
They might like each other in the end. Unless Gabe gets killed off.
Oh definitely, as soon as I saw them together, and as soon as she said that, this was pretty much me.
He had recently lost his home and wife, as is made clear, so yeah that does make sense and it still doesn't make me regret my decision either. Just wish it could have gone down differently.
Eleanor: "Maybe they'll hit it off..."
Not me. I agreed with her. It'd be nice for Clem to have someone around of the same age. Maybe even care for.
To be fair, they callec it "A New Fronteir" rather than Season 3 and I'm pretty sure there are other Walking Dead games out there that don't feature her. So it really doesn't matter--in fact, it matters even less than the idea that Season 2 needed Kenny running the whole plot.
What?! Why the heck would he do that?
I was going to talk about it until he grabbed Gabe. I hate that kid, but he's mine to hate God damn it.
