Kenny or Wellington Flashback?
ONLY APPLIES TO KENNY FANS:
So which flashback do you think is the best case scenario. Wellington, we can pick up Kenny's hat, have a not so shitty flashback, and keep some hope that Kenny is out there, alive, with both working legs.
On the other hand, Kenny's flashback, while heartbreaking, gives us some nice few moments where Kenny is genuinely happy which is something we haven't seen in a long time. He ends up dying but also goes out like the hero he is, saving AJ and telling Clem to run and not to look back.
My main playthrough has the Kenny flashback, but depending on the discussion, I may want to go back and change it to the Wellington one. Which do you think is better?

FYI,
Kenny is probably dead in the Wellington ending too.
No confirmation.
Not confirmed.
Both suck but I think Kenny flashback is better. Wellington just got screwed up very easily.
Okay, keep your hopes up believing he'll come back someday if you pick that ending.
Denial is bad =A
I am a Kenny fan but I don't think that we will run into Kenny again, just like Christa or Molly. Leaving it up to the player to imagine what exactly happened to the characters.
Both flashbacks are very poorly executed In regards to writing. Showcases a complete lack of effort and care for the choices we made during season 2 in my opinion.
Though personally, I preferred the Wellington flashback. For one we didn't see Kenny die in it. Secondly, we have the option of taking Kenny's hat. Which is all I have ever wanted. It's a beautiful hat.
Wellington, because although we'll never see Kenny again, we can hope he's still alive out there. Use our imagination's to decide his fate
It's highly unlikely we'll see him again but the fact remains. We have no confirmation if he's dead or alive in the Wellington ending, so myself and other Kenny fans can hope he's still alive out there, even if we never see him again.
I choose to believe Kenny um.. fought of the walkers and didnt get bit after Clem ran. I mean there is a chance.
The poster above never said it was confirmed, only probable!
They both suck, but the Wellington flashback is the lesser of 2 stupids here.
Because...better Wellington than Kenny.
Wellington all the way.Even if Kenny died after he left, he died thinking he had left Clem and AJ in a safe place, and that means a lot to him considering he feels guilty for the death of his loved ones.
I think you should stick with your ending. As heartbreaking as it was the ending means more than simply having Kenny with you. It decides what kind of character your Clementine is. It means that family is important to her. Though I do like Wellington as it had that amusing scene with Clem & AJ.
About Kenny dying, it sucks to see him go but if he was gonna die that's how I'd want it to happen. Sacrificing himself for the people he loves.
He'll probably appear in a wheelchair and with a longer beard if S4 ever happens
Which it isn't.
God I hope so lol. I mean he escaped one death that revolved around outnumbering walkers, why not one more time

You don't have to agree but maybe halt on the condescending?
I would love that more than anyone could ever understand! :P
Does it count if I was a S1 Kenny fan? I'd say the Wellington ending is better for both his and Clem/AJ's sakes, since not only can you choose to keep his hat and he's more likely (-maybe-) to survive, but you also can escape with some food, which is not necessarily the case in the car scenario.
It is more probable for a person in the apocalypse to be dead after two years than to be alive after those two years.
Especially if they're prone to reckless driving.
But it looks SOOO unrealistic that Wellington, which has a big population, got rekt very easily
My official ending has Kenny dying in the car crash but i do have a save where i went to Wellington just so i could have a timeline where Kenny might still be out there somewhere, even if i never see him again. I made sure the first thing i grabbed was his hat but Clem has no bag with her during the present time. Did i grab the hat just to lose it anyway?
As a Kenny fan since Season 1, I'd say that the Wellington one is better. Yes, we'll likely never see Kenny again this way but he's likely out there alive, at least, and not dead in a stupid car crash. I'd rather see him just walk off at the end of Season 2, never to be seen again, than get axed in such an awful way at the start of Season 3.
Saving Ben > Saving Christa > Shooting Kenny to save Jane > Shooting Kenny after he killed Jane >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Crippled and eaten
I mean, I guess if you just want to know Kenny isnt dead Wellington, but Wellington is also dumb.
Edith dies no matter what apparently, and what I found the worst was the people attacked because Wellington didnt give them supplies.
Last time I checked, we couldnt get into Wellington because they had no room, but they were 100% willing to give supplies.
Thanks!
And they both suck, but his ANF death is the greater of 2 stupids here.
Wellington easily, there's at least the hope he's alive somewhere. Really wish TellTale hadn't gone this route at all though.
He might still be kicking out there.
If you saved Kenny and left him by the car AJ was in, he might be alive in that playthrough too.
I was one of the WellingStayers, but I fully endorse the car crash, given that Kenny was back again full **BOAT! **mode. Even with the questionable, questionable render.
There's a wonderful mystery to Kenny's status getting permanently locked as "Unknown." That's why the Wellington ending will always be MY ending to S2.
Man the more I think about Kenny death the worst it gets. Are you telling me a character like him thats been through everything and countless beatings and injuries and walked them all off but he died in something as simple as hitting a tree?
I just saw this when I googled "Wellington Flashback" and as a loyal Kennyist I figured I'd offer my two cents.
I actually thought that Kenny's flashback was a fitting goodbye for my friend that I've known and loved for so long. He was genuinely happy, you could just hear the hope and joy in his voice when he was talking about what Florida would be like. He painted a picture of joy in my mind despite us living in hell, and it was a full callback to the events of season 1... just completely profound. He found redemption in the time that he spent taking care of AJ and Clementine. He is able to talk about Duck in a positive and self reflective manner. He trusts himself again. And he was teaching Clem to drive a manual, just like a real father. It was the best feeling I've had in this game in a very long time, it was absolutely sublime. It was just Kenny being Kenny, and Clem being Clem, and AJ being taken care of by two people who truly love him (I loved how he was in the middle seat, the safest seat statistically speaking. Good one, Kenny). I loved this part of the flashback, I'm so glad I got the opportunity to thank him for his help and to spend at least a few more moments with him.
And although he dies in the Kenny ending, he dies like the goddamned badass boat God that we've always known he is. His body is broken... he can't feel anything... but he still uses the one thing he has left, his voice, to distract the walkers and buy Clem time to escape with AJ. And his last words, "Hey, dipshits, come and get it!!!". Holy shit, has anyone in this entire series ever been so brave when facing their death, and such a horrible death at that? The answer is no. Kenny did not panic, he did not blame Clementine for crashing the car, he quickly realizes his fate and bravely faces it. It was fucking emotional but still a beautiful thing in a way.
And then there's Wellington. The Wellington ending offers Clementine and AJ a "normal" life for a bit, as AJ seems most childlike and talkative in this ending. It is also heartwarming to see Kenny's hat in plain view as if in memoriam, and for the option to take it before as one of the "bare essentials" before Wellington falls. You could argue that it lets Kenny leave knowing he fulfilled his and Lee's mission (although I honestly think Kenny would regret leaving them after like a day of thinking about it). And as many of my fellow Team Kenny members have pointed out, it also offers the possibility of Kenny surviving, starting a new life, and finding happiness yet again as we know he can do. Honestly, the thought of him finding a German accented woman for a partner and living down on the coast while knowing he saved the kids truly brings me joy. We know he's capable and willing to survive, and we left him with supplies so we know he had a great chance on his own. I wouldn't blame some people for choosing this as the hardest "happy" ending you'll ever have to make. Kenny's true death is a hard thing to face and accept, I know this first hand.
However, I just want to point out that Kenny's 2-3 years with Clem and AJ is probably the brightest, happiest thing that could've ever happened to him, all things considering. Jane only takes care of the kids for a bit because AJ is still in swaddling clothes when she commits suicide. Kenny, however, is able to raise the boy to age 2-3 and is able to be there as a parental figure for Clementine as well. Think about how happy and friendly Clem and Kenny are when they interact, and just imagine that every day. For years. It was probably the happiest and most normal they have been since Duck/Katjaa/Carley died. It was the second chance that BOTH of them deserved. If you thank Kenny for teaching you to drive, he admits that Clem was the best second chance he could've asked for. He's able to truly come to terms with losing Duck. It is such a small yet powerful moment. His arc was truly completed, despite how heartwarming and amazing it would've been to make it to Florida together and survive on a boat. He won't get to teach AJ to fish and swim, he won't teach Clem any more about trucks and boats, but dammit he was able to live in the sunshine for quite a while with them and he died like a real man, taking care of the kids.
Kenny's death is hard to face and accept, but it just feels like the proper goodbye. We see his happiness, his redemption, his love for the children, his hope for a better tomorrow, and ultimately his willingness to suffer and die to protect them. He dies but he dies as a good man, a steadfast friend, and a fierce protector. He dies as he lived, as Kenny.
Rest in peace, old friend. I'll take good care of AJ, you don't worry about a thing. I'll meet you up in boat heaven when the time comes. Say hi to Lee for me.
Was it the ending that you got on your first playthrough?
